As omnichannel continues to evolve and competition intensifies, retailers need to present shoppers with personalised encounters, immersive technology and interactive design. By creating memorable, social and emotional experiences that delight, enrich and intrigue the consumer, retailers of fashion and beauty can influence purchasing decisions, increase loyalty and boost the bottom line.     Nobody can imagine the future without understanding the past. The analysis deliverd by Armand Hadida from l'Eclaireur is very clear and smart. Of course he doesn't have the same english accent then the two others, but his approach is original maybe thank to the fact that he learned everything by himself on the ground.

    I'd love to sit down with the CEO of Aesop. He seems very passionate and thoughtful. I'd also love to raid the closet of the young woman in the middle, her closet would leave me breathless I'm sure. I can also appreciate what she said about us being consumers as well. I've always thought that one should only bring concepts to their business that they themselves would gravitate to as a customer 😊

    stores have to make enough cash for stores of the future to do what he says. what malls have to be open to facilitate is the notion of pop up shops on a more consistent basis. bring the runway to the malls. that would be great.

    May be not only just conversations but also involve consumers into activities and events that reflect the culture, history and themes of brands where create interactions between customers and brands ultimately leads to a unique experience that consumers perceive...

    Armand is very insightful in his articulation, may be some people didn't get what he said, if only because of the language issue. Otherwise, he knows his business. Kim's contribution is very superficial.

    Keep attempting to milk the current consumers because with coming technologies corporations and design houses will have little to no say in the direction and dictation of "fashion". The future of apparel is a personalized one where people get to design and wear their own clothes instead of being slaves to dictated fashion. So try as you may you cannot control the future of fashion. Enjoy it till it lasts ;)

      Doubt it, theres actually more processes to designing and making clothes then you think, I assure you this would not be cost effective. When was the last time you went out and bought a made to measure t-shirt? It's kind of like saying well in the future car retailers will be gone because people will be able to personalise and get to design there own cars.............

    Imram Abed obviously does NOT understand tech....let alone the concept of interconnected applications that integrate the customer experience, the store inventory, the customer invoice, place in the queue etc etc. To him its all an iPaD....a machine with a fancy display.

      i disagree he's using his new concept of kitchen space in his stores as an example for customer experience and engagement

      He is making a lot of sense, because he was trying to tell everyone that you need to sell a dream, aspiration, not just a product. For example, what Nordstrom Local in LA is doing.
