Loved the Lil happy story of Bella helping herself to the fish. Please keep the Bella stories coming. It's a good way to honor our loved ones after they go home to God. ❤
Our marinade we let it soak over night, when we dehydrated it over night over top of the wood stove. My brother took over and has a commercial dehydrator from cabelas and cools it all night. We alternate while one is cooking one is soaking and run 25 lb batches. I think he also soaks what is ground into burger overnight, then grinds it and then shots it. Keep the stories coming, sorry to hear about the fur baby
Leave it in the bag untouched for a day or two it will sweat a little bit and bring moisture back into it, maybe put a little bit of paprika on it to put a little bit of color on top before you put it in to dehydrate
When Weston was cleaning the patio I could hear Houston’s waterfall .. it sounded so peaceful! I hear it now in the background! ♥️. I’ll have to check out your jerky gun! Might be a great Christmas present!
Man... I have always been hyper emotional, definitely relate to your youngest in that regard. As soon as you said Limpy Gimpy, Houstons reaction when he made the kill shot immediately came to mind. Thanks for letting us share such awesome family moments ❤ Edit: Gosh darnit, you had the clip at the end 😂
Sweet story of Bella helping herself to the fish. Pond and patio looks great. I can hear a kitty meowing in the background. Enjoy the jerky. Love to all❤️
Bella eating the fish reminds me of a Retired K-9 German Sheppard we had. My husband and I were slicing up deer meat to make homemade deer jerky, we had it in a colander draining in the sink. We forgot an ingredient for the jerky and left to go get it. We came back 10 minutes later and found most of the deer meat was gone. She had a feast, I tell you! 💝❤💘💖💝❤💘💖watching your videos, thank you and have a great night!
Keep sharing those sweet memories of Bella - she was such a wonderful part of the farm. She was very resourceful - getting those fish. While you were doing the jerky - Earl was all ears & eyes watching. Love Earl & Jemma
😄😄 that sounds like the Bella we all knew and loved 😂 I bet she still has that derpy grin on her face. Miss you Bella. Love all the videos Daniel, keep an coming.
What a great outdoor kitchen! Have you heard the history of summer kitchens in rural Florida? 1. In the summer, you wouldn't heat up the main house in summer. 2. Fire was a real potential hazard, so keeping the summer kitchen away from the main structure kept it safe in case the fire gets away from you.
Hi Daniel this patio looks great you have done so good at getting things together and hope everyone doing good today. Thanks on the care of the animals and farm. Thanks for sharing and everyone have a bless day. Hugs and Prayers❤❤❤❤😊! Great Contents 😊Keep It Up❤❤beef jerky taste good i don't buy it too much as i use too ,but it is good just like steaks❤❤😊
I appreciate your channel appreciate the truth that you put out there and the love that you have for your kids. Make smile On my face and in my heart god bless you and joy and jerky my friend
Daniel. Like I mentioned before. I am in a wheelchair and you have no clue how much I live in your videos. I think the world of your family and im always excited when you post a new video. I still am able to hunt and fish thank God. Sending much love to all of you !,,,
Houston was do happy when he finally got limpy gimpy.. He waited so long for it to happen👍 Looks really good😉 Wes did a great job on the patio! God Bless see you next video!❤🙏👍🤗✌️
I remember that one of your best videos. One arrow one deer down and Hustons face priceless. Well every time you went fishing you never let Bella have any fish so she made up for it😂 and I'm sure she thanks you😂. Got my Bella shirt when I opened it I looked at it hugged it and cryed I just love it. Sorry maybe it's a bit much but couldn't help myself reminds me of my Bella she's 14 blind and deaf and we are treasuring every moment with her.🌈🌈💜💜💜
Never forget that day❤ he was so happy and Daniel I could hear your voice, you were in tears of joy for how proud you were of Houston. Houston, did you mean to say not so wild tasting it is. Some jerky I make some taste wilder then other batches.
I used to take plain beef hamburger, add the jerky seasonings, and baked it in the oven. When my son and ex-husband went deer hunting, they took the deer to the processing plant and added beef hamburger and we had lots of jerky and sticks made.
Looks yummy and so easy to make. I just with the seasoning didn’t have MSG or maltodextrin in it. I’ll have to look for seasonings without it. Thanks for sharing. Houston the deer slayer and Weston the scorpion slayer.
Don't know if you have ever tried it or not, but if you haven't it is amazing. Take 1 lb ground venison, 16 oz velveta, and10 oz can rotel tomatoes and make a dip. Brown the ground venison and then add the cheese and tomatoes in the same pan. So simple, yet so good.
You can NEVER have too much cracked pepper in a jerky recipe! I've used both of those Backwoods blends before and it's really fool proof. “The more you explain it, the more I don't understand it.” ~Mark Twain
Daniel I enjoyed the Bella story, don't ever stop talking about her. I got my Bella shirt today that my wife ordered and I love it. The Jerky looked so good. Deer jerky is better than beef jerky. God bless
Boy that Jerry looked like it would really taste great. And I loved the replay of Houston's take down of Limpy Gimpky. I watched when it happened and was just as exciting to watch again. The story of Bella getting your fish was so easy to believe. I hadn't ever heard that story. But any of us that knew that sweet girl, well I can picture that happening. Oh man. She must have really thought she was truly in heaven then. She probably wasn't moving around very fast with her belly that ful. That's the funniest story of her yet. You know, come to think of it, Bear was always blamed for eating chicken eggs. It could've been Bella. Thanks for sharing. Loved it. God bless you and sweet dreams to everyone from North Carolina.
Your farm is getting green and looking so good. Can’t say much about your jerky, never had it, never even tasted deer meat. But I would love to. Here in S.Florida we are having pretty bad storms every day. Hope you get the rain you need. Godbless
I used to buy inexpensive chicken cutlets and cut them thinly, in oven at 250 degrees for 2.5 hours. My coworkers loved them ( so did my pup). Sometimes I did beef, if I had older, but edible steaks in the freezer. They were good too. I dint eat venison, but yours look good.
Love watching you cook jerky. Enjoyed the story about Bella. We had a hunting dog that helped himself to the deer steaks left on the freezer years ago. So no steaks that year.
Thank you for sharing how to do it, my stubborn hubby, although it’s tough for him, to admit has learned ALOT…ps he may be, a little cautious to admit that❤❤
I've been making jerky for 35 years, started putting beef between two pieces of screen with tons of salt, hanging on the clothes line, then went to a dehydrator and now for the past 10 years, my traeger has been the pinnacle of my jerky. Ive perfected it, but never tried venison jerky, can you believe that? Your video gave me the motivation to get some venison from my brother in law and make some. love your content and your property is so beautiful, it relaxed me as I was watching this. Great video and I will definitely watch more of your content.. I appreciate what you do. God bless you and your family....
My favorite is the Teriyaki Flavor Jerky! You can also add some Honey to the Backwoods to sweeten just a bit and it's helps the seasonings adhere to the meat better! It's so good! Make your own seasonings from Fresh Grown Herbs and it's Awesome! Daniel, Where's your Herb Garden? You should really have one in a Raised Bed! Jerky looked Amazingly Good! See y'all on the next video! God Bless
Loved the Bella story! We also had a four legged meat bandit so I could relate to that story. I think the word that Houston was search for was that the meat wasn't as "gamey" tasting.
Wow, thanks! I think I can make jerky now. Did not know you could make jerky with ground meat. My boys will thank you because they love jerky. My youngest son buys jerky from Buc-ees quite often. Now all I need is a Trager Grill and a jerky gun. I think Houston was meaning chewy when trying to describe the ground meat jerky vs the sliced deer meat. Love that boy! He is the same age of my grandson, but has had many more life experiences than my city dwelling grandson. Wish I lived in the country. Such a better way of life. In my dreams.
I love deer jerky. Texture-wise I am a fan of the traditiknal rather than the ground. Unfortunately I have need been able to get out into the woods for the last few years. Maybe my health will get better so I can go this fall and winter.
First of all, can I just say how proud I still am of Houston for getting limpy, amazing. Are you getting his head mounted? Secondly, that venison looked beautiful, well jel, I love watching you guys and I live vicariously through you. ❤❤
I have to confess I was rooting for Limpy Gimpy, but Im glad if he had to go that Houston got him. Ive been a hunter and get so excited when I see the young ones get their deer.
Interesting video A hack I have used for years with the ground jerky After the cure has been with the meat long enough , I like 8 - 12 hours I spread the ground meat onto a silicone baking sheet I then use 1/4" wood strips as spacers to get a exact height I roll the meat with a plastic rolling pin and the wood strips to get 1/4" thickness every time I then put the meat in the freezer to get it sort of frozen and then cut it into strips I then have a propane oven that will hold the low temps I want I have 6 racks for the oven and use a mesh cooling rack So I can do 15 - 20 lb at a time
Loved the Lil happy story of Bella helping herself to the fish. Please keep the Bella stories coming. It's a good way to honor our loved ones after they go home to God. ❤
P
Absolutely agree!❤
And I'm Sure she was grinning from ear to ear at her accomplishment. 😂
And earl was lacking his lips when Daniel put the jerry in! 😂😂

The patio sure does look nice and clean. The "new guy" sure did a great job. 😊
That’s what I was thinking lol
The new guy is actually Deejay's Son
Weston is his name
@@lindajohnson8347 yes. Linda. I know who he is.
@@lindajohnson8347 We know, and most likely watched his channel and seen him scrubbing the patio-hence the comment about it.
Have a good day.
@@lindajohnson8347 That's Daniel and DeeJay's son.
Good evening from Syracuse NY everyone thank you for sharing your adventures and your farm
That looks so good Daniel. The pond is so beautiful with everything growing around it.
When Weston was cleaning the patio I could hear Houston’s waterfall .. it sounded so peaceful! I hear it now in the background! ♥️. I’ll have to check out your jerky gun! Might be a great Christmas present!

Sweet story of Bella helping herself to the fish. Pond and patio looks great. I can hear a kitty meowing in the background. Enjoy the jerky. Love to all❤️
Houston’s little pond landscape is really beautiful now.

I always made ours on our wood heating stove. It never lasted very long the kids loved it.
Never forget that day❤ he was so happy and Daniel I could hear your voice, you were in tears of joy for how proud you were of Houston.

You had to tease us all with deer jerky and deer sticks, lol. Delicious animals for us all to enjoy, God Bless y'all. John V. Michigan
watching Houston finally get limpy gimpy after the long journey was so incredible to watch!
Houstons reaction to getting limpy got me again 😭😭

yes I have jerky gun and I make jerky round sticks the most with mine and everyone love them in my family
I have the same jerky gun
I love it
I bought some disposable racks in the grilling section at Walmart for my jerky and they work good. Very similar and I reused them
"From the deer that I killed for you to make" Houston says. Affectation of pride with a wry grin. I love it!😋😉
Love watching you cook jerky. Enjoyed the story about Bella. We had a hunting dog that helped himself to the deer steaks left on the freezer years ago. So no steaks that year.
Well your little cut-off just completes the cycle. Glad you all are able to enjoy the fruits of all your labors.
Now your talking my language! 😍😋

Absolutely the best way to cook jerky if you’ve got the time.
Loved the Bella story! We also had a four legged meat bandit so I could relate to that story. I think the word that Houston was search for was that the meat wasn't as "gamey" tasting.
It looks very tasty. Thanks Chris from England
I really really enjoyed this different kind of video.
Daniel, Obviously Bella appreciated fine food. Gee, the things I see and learn about on your channel is amazing.
I made my last jerky on my pellet grill. The smoke flavor is unmatched

Your not the only one who has had something like that happen!
I have to confess I was rooting for Limpy Gimpy, but Im glad if he had to go that Houston got him. Ive been a hunter and get so excited when I see the young
ones get their deer.
WALMART EVEN SELLS JERKY GUNS. YEAH. CAN'T WAIT🎉😊❤❤
Thanks for the video. I think we will try this using the beef we had butchered. Looks very good
Interesting video
A hack I have used for years with the ground jerky
After the cure has been with the meat long enough , I like 8 - 12 hours
I spread the ground meat onto a silicone baking sheet
I then use 1/4" wood strips as spacers to get a exact height
I roll the meat with a plastic rolling pin and the wood strips to get 1/4" thickness every time
I then put the meat in the freezer to get it sort of frozen and then cut it into strips
I then have a propane oven that will hold the low temps I want
I have 6 racks for the oven and use a mesh cooling rack
So I can do 15 - 20 lb at a time
