Yeah I'm not going to lie, the chaos knights seem more a liability. The amount of wrangling it would take to marshal them into one place and not have them being distracted, or murdering eachother seems excessive.
that’s the general deal with chaos. each individual chaos unit is more powerful than their imperial equivalent but chaos is self destructive and won’t work together too well
Generally yes, but there is the rare chaos group like blood pact that are exceptionally disciplined well coordinated. Which I can't help but think would be so much more of a threat.
That’s why I prefer Dreadblades when it comes to Chaos Knights. Because at that point they’re either a Rogue, Black Knight or a full blown rampaging monster no better than a Daemon Engine. And I find that very believable
3:14 big high fives ARE needed, because I love these little lore shot videos! Just Dave talking, with paint jobs in the background that I could never dream of doing myself.
My favourite Old School knights from the original epic were the Eldar knights similar in design to a centaur, I used to think they really looked cool and filled the role of mounted mechs
Good video. It's annoyingly hard to find information on which kits can build which models online, especially when it comes to kits that can be used on both chaos and imperial, so this video cleared up a lot for me. Thanks.
I have a war dog carnivore that pretty much solo a 2k death guard army in 9th edition. Ot was the only knight to survive shipment home from poland. All the rest were busted badly
I feel you, i've had a House Krast Atropos for a while but, when I do the rest of the house it's going to be a pain as the transfer sheet for 40k Krast is way rare now. (Krast changed pretty drastically after the HH.
I already have 5k+ of IK, however, if they were ever to release the mechanicus variants in plastic, I would probably get myself some, specially that atrapos.
Honestly always thought it was silly how they categorized and priced the m. Why not have a base price for the chassis and point cost for weapon upgades? Lets you sell the weapon kits seperately and expand the list pretty freely. For being such a greedy company they're often staggeringly incompetent at it.
I just headcannon that the Cerastus knights are less versatile than the Questoris. They're fast assault knights, relying on a shock charge. Whilst Questoris are very much your standard battle line knights. In a confined or prolonged melee a Questoris that survives the intial strike of the Cerastus would totally be able to knock a Cerastus on it's reactor.
So much confusing bloat attached to knights that I'm not sure even Knight players can identify what's what. It should just be a chassis name with all possible weapon options available in it's datasheet instead of a bucket full of unique named units for every single loadout.
Channels don't have total control over ad numbers or placements in videos anymore, and it can even vary between viewers (Thanks UA-cam, what a definitely not stupid change). For example, I only had two ads, one before the video and one after.
The only thing that matches my love for the first released knight kit and how amazing it looks, is my disapointment with this new plastic kit and how jenky it looks. And saying they can swap out their chainsword for a big fist for when big high fives were neededjust sent me bro 😂
Want a new knight kit, just drop over 300$… want an army of them u’ll need to get a few, want to play a game buy the app for rules, want the knight army rules to play with them buy a codex so the app ur already paying for has ALL the rules… gw are literally taking money for every possible thing they can, like doubling up on charging u for apps plus codex, changing rules in codexs before the books are even in the hands of the customers making the rules in a physical codex obsolete, meaning that even if u buy the codex u need to spend the subscription fee to see updated rules also… F GW! Buy infinity or malifaux! Yeah the lore isn’t as deep, but at least the company’s aren’t doing everything they possibly can to make casual gamers broke
I've just seen Infinity a few days ago and I think the models look very nice. They aren't cheap either but the game looks fun. Personally if I were to get into tabletop to the point that I decide to make an army, then I'll just buy a 3D printer. The technology is advanced enough and there is tons of help online. Theres also a bunch of free model designs and tutorials. That way I can try out tons of different models/ factions to see what I like and don't. Then if I really enjoy it, I can even try different games and designing my own models. Just seems like a far safer option.
@@borisdorofeev5602 u don’t need to pay to play tho, rules are all free, rule book that comes with lore etc isn’t released every 3 years no constant rule updates and even if they do update rules on models the rules are free online anyway 😉🍻 models are fine to be pricey, it’s the constant other costs to play wh40k that ruin it, like my chaos 40K codex I don’t think I actually played a game with before it was useless for games because the new edition was released with all new army indexes 🙄
If there were any people near me who played Infinity or Malifaux I would switch on a heart beat or at least take on Infinity next too Warhammer. But unfortunately the only Game Store in my town is a Warhammer Store.
Can we have more Dave lore videos? Man knows his stuff

Dude I've been looking for this information for like 3 months now! NO ONE ELSE has this up in this kind of condensed format - NOT EVEN AT!!!
I'm gonna need to see some Sisters Armiger Knights.
Edit: make em look like little machine nuns
omg YESSSSSS
Not an Armi, but my Castellan is SoB themed!
Yessssssssssssss
3:14 big high fives ARE needed, because I love these little lore shot videos! Just Dave talking, with paint jobs in the background that I could never dream of doing myself.
The Evangelion reference threw me off guard
Lmao same
some day i'll be able to get some Knights and a bunch of guard and make my dream army: Knight House Men At Arms
My favourite Old School knights from the original epic were the Eldar knights similar in design to a centaur, I used to think they really looked cool and filled the role of mounted mechs
Always happy to see more lore videos!
Really like those new ammo belts during the unboxing!
i love all of you guys your videos! i'll hope to see more amazing content like this!

hears the Magaera can harm its pilot: "Paint it like Freddy Fazbear, got it."
Thanks. It is a wounderfull time being a chaos knight player
Lore vids like this are so helpful, thank you!

Warp travel from Poland can be very frustrating at times. They recently lost a whole Fleet near the city of lights..
It killed the others in order to grow stronger
great, maybe do a guide for Titans next?
These do look amazing- not sure where to find big chunks of bark like this but I'll keep an eye out.
can we get chaos knights next
Dave. More lore please. (Painting and stuff when there is time-I miss it)

Could you do a same tutorial of all the Excisting Titan types too?
I already have 5k+ of IK, however, if they were ever to release the mechanicus variants in plastic, I would probably get myself some, specially that atrapos.
How much do you get from gw, that the nda is worth it?
If Dave has a couple moirax lying around I'd really love to see him convert them to fit in with his dark mechanicus knight.
A big gameboard is a worthwhile endeavor!!!
God damn it Dave, now I want a knight army! 😅
I'd love getting Acastus Knights in plastic.
Honestly with GW nowadays, I am sure it will happen within 3 years.
Honestly, as a proud owner of a porphyrion, I would love to see it as well
@@saurosthewise7371 Mine is still just sitting in parts because I'm nervous doing anything with such an expensive kit.
@@whitebaron13it's not as bad as you would expect from forge world. Superglue works well enough to get it together, and it's a very stable model
I have a desecrator and the abominant but I think I might try and get a poryphion
Cant wait for games workshop to legends these from 40k

I’m starting to have a feeling that these were inspired by Alexander Summon from FFVII 😅
And what about looted knights? 🤔
So with the swap to plastic....do u think 10th codex knights will see the cerastus move to official gw rules rather then fw indexs?
Nah they're explicitly Heresy kits, like the older patterns of land raiders and stuff. If it was main codex it would have a 40k box
GET INSIDE THE CASTELAN JINJI!!
This video was wild dude Ozzie Ozzie Ozzie oi oi oi

Are knights necessary in games of 40k now?
no, they’re fun but not needed at all
So much confusing bloat attached to knights that I'm not sure even Knight players can identify what's what. It should just be a chassis name with all possible weapon options available in it's datasheet instead of a bucket full of unique named units for every single loadout.
Hey team I don't mind a couple ads but this vid is hard to follow with all the Interruptions. It's really y good and would love to see more
