Sorry, I made a mistake. The Avata has no audio recording. Could have sworn there was, or maybe I just confused it with the DJI FPV (which has audio). Sorry fam!

Im sorry, this was a big mistake. Im flying both the Avata and DJI FPV and was sure there was this option for the avata. Maybe in stock firmware, but after updates, I no longer see this. Or I may have been confused. But conclusion is, there is no audio available for the avata at this time.

I’ve got a stupid question that doesn’t make sense…
I know that th dji fpv and the Avata are completely different machines, but, I am completely happy flying Manual mode with the stock rates on my Avata. I was wondering, could you tell me what rates on the Dji Fpv would give the closest handling/feeling to what the Avata stock rates feel like?
I’m completely comfortable on Avata, but just don’t have that level of confidence/ control on the Dji fpv!
I’ve recently got an A too. 3, and want to mount it to dji fpv to get some more extreme dives and speeds than I get on Avata, I just need help with the rates.

I have not actually compared the stock rates of both the DJI FPV and Avata, and went straight to input my own rates. They are super soft in the centre of the stick control range to give it cinematic control, but fast at full stick deflection to give it fast spins. Just note the stock rates, and give these a try :

Can you fly true manual with the rocksteady setting on?
Yes you can actually. The Avata is unlike DJI FPV, where these settings will be seen in the goggles. For the Avata, have this setting on, and the video recorded will be smooth, but in the goggles will be what you see from the drone. Hope that helps. This episode may give you a better understanding of rocksteady and horizonsteady:

Sorry I missed this. You're most welcome! Hope the journey has been smooth for you. Have you been in M mode yet? I recommend adjusting the sticks so that you can best control the throttle in Manual mode. Usually about 30% throttle is enough to get you cruising and you will have to CONSTANTLY adjust it as you are flying in Manual mode, so thats why adjusting it to be loose is recommended. Hi Rahim, i just put the controller in manual mode and opened dji virtual flight. In F2 and F1 are already adjusted for throttle movement. In S and N mode the controller is fine. In M Mode i find it hard to move ahead (pitch forward) throttle is fine. Do i need to make any other changes in M for the controller to work properly. I havent yet started the avata on the field in M. Only simulator practice. Please let me know if i am doing something wrong.
That does not sound right. Im going to assume that you are a Mode 2 pilot, where Throttle and Yaw is on the left, and Pitch and Roll is on the right. Is that correct? In M Mode when you push the right stick forward, it should pitch the drone forward and when you bring the stick back to centre, the drone should remain pitched forward and would not self-level and correct itself. Is this what you experience, or does the drone do otherwise?
@@TheReelRahim Hi Rahim, yes i am mode 2. Somehow when i pitch forward its not pitching more enough and seems a bit funny. Let me make a video of that and send it to u. Also i found out that to switch to M Mode in the googles i need to change Custom settings but that is only when the quad is connected? i dont need to set anything in googles for a virtual flight right?

Its been awhile since I got on DJI's sim. Dont recall the need to do any of the settings through the goggles, but no harm trying. If need be, 1) assign M mode to custom switch on top left. 2) switch off "Attitude limit" in rates settings.

Im trying to get the avata is it fun and worth buying??
Coming from DIY fpv, when pilots get a cinewhoop, thats because its to get smooth AND CLOSE RANGE or indoor cinematic shots. So that was why I got the Avata. Also the added Headtracker makes for an awesome exploring mode. Where the imagination brings me into a fighter pilot's cockpit and i can look around as im soaring the skies. So yes, if finances are ok, worth getting the Avata and upgrade to Goggles 2. Sell the DJI FPV Goggles V2 while there is still a market for it.
hi sir, its not working for me the swtich to manual mode? did i make something wrong on the way i loosen the stick? also, there's a a message on the right side that says ..stick error
Hi sorry didnt respond in time. Did you manage to work around it? The custom switch is not M mode by default, but instead Sport Mode. Did you reassign to M Mode? Here is all of my settings in this episode:

About the stick error, it does not go away. So I just ignore it. I recalibrate at every battery change so as to make it disappear.

my problem now is when i fly in the air in N mode... and i tried to switch in Manual mode..its not working..
also during take off double tapping the start button does not start the propeller..
may interim solution is to start the propeller to take off..
but i wanted the following ...take off in N mode then switch to normal.... and on the ground double tapping the start button
Can the avata capture audio??
Sadly no friend. I wished it did, like the recordings of DJI FPV. Having audio helps to hear out for any issues with the drone in flight, and also gives good feel to videos for editing.

@@TheReelRahim because we get used to fly with normal mod it feels awkward to switch manual mod so i want a controller view to get how you make the move. But recently i've flown in liftoff and learned it with actual controller so I can easily test a move before risking 400 dollar drone 😅
Yea, thats a good sim. Very realistic, drone attitude wise. Gonna do more freestyle soon. Definitely will add in stick movements 🤟🏽. Thanks mate.
