You're most welcome! There is much to learn for FPV, and BEST practiced on the simulator. Especially Manual Mode. Fly safe and take your time in the skies. Once u get the muscle memory in, it is the most rewarding ✌🏽
You're most welcome! By now, has it arrived yet? And when it does, just spend the time in the sim in manual so that you can get the muscle memory in. Feel free to drop by and ask anithing through your journey. See you in the skies!
This looks so easy…. Thanks for sharing this video. I’ve been practicing this technic on the sim for several hours now and still cannot get a descent turn like yours. I’ve come from far from playing game so everything is new to me. But I’m getting there… slowly. Today I practice at least 3 to 4 hours and I’m coming back here for a refresh. Thanks again.
Sorry i missed this. Glad that you have been doing some sim practice. Many just send it in M mode and CRASH. Getting comfy in N and S modes will NEVER prepare you for M. Its just a different beast. You will get there, trust me. 3-4h a day is quite the grind! But then again, to be smooth is really a work in progress and for myself its been years. Before DJI FPV, we were flying DIY drones, common was GoPro Sessions 4/5 and many would pride having in-cam stabilisations off, and just fly as smooth as possible. Thats where we gain on having automated micro adjustments of the sticks as we were in flight. And till today, if the footage dont matter, I would just fly around in circles with the DJI Avata/FPV with stabilisations off. Just to review how smooth my flights were. In the skies, it takes alot of focus. Especially while on the goggles. So do keep up the practice. As you feel more confident, spend more time in the skies doing this. BUT AT SHORTER INTERVALS. No need to keep high focus for a full batt. Give it 5 mins in the skies, rest, and repeat. Btw, DIY drones only go for up to 5 mins per batt, so we make full use of that time in the skies. So keep up the good practice and may you enjoy the FPV journey in the skies!
Great to watch your videos! You are telling things no other is ... getting used to the DJI sim - waiting for wind to stop - and then I'll try my DJI FPV for real!!!
Greetings and thanks for the love! Do take the time to practice in the simulator first especially Manual Mode. And once you get that muscle memory going, get in the skies and unleash the beast! Lol! But most importantly, fly safe and enjoy the journey 🤟🏽
Wow, another great video Rahim, you are a great teacher. I have been watching you Manual series training and have around 4 hours on the sim now and 10 actual flights in M with the drone and it is feeling pretty good so far. Thanks pal!
You're most welcome! And glad to hear another success story. Keep it up, and my trick here is to switch off all stabilisations. This is so that I can force myself to fly smooth. Most DIY pilots are trained this way, and when u finally switch on Rocksteady / add Reelsteady / Gyroflo, you will have dreamy smooth cinematic footage.
Sorry I missed this. Been away for awhile. Great to hear you're in the skies mate! Keep going at it. Not need to really learn the fancy stuff yet, just enjoy the journey. Thanks for sharing, and I'll see you in the skies!
I don't understand, so I'm asking for an explanation. So if you point the right button up, does the drone go up or down? Another thing that interests me; if you point the left button up, does the drone go up, or does it go forward?
Thanks for watching 🙏🏼🤟🏽. Aniways its something i got from my DIY drone transmitter. Its normally used for drone pilots to attach a screen to their transmitters for those that are not flying in goggles. But iv repurposed it to mout a gopro so others can watch stick movements as i fly
Wow this is exactly what i needed to see Rahim you're the man. The issue i was having with turns was i was drifting too much where the butt of my drone was almost smashing into something trying to turn or do sharp turns. It's my biggest issue as a noobie manual pilot haha.
Sorry I missed this. Thanks! Hope the journey has been smooth for you. Do feel free to ask any help anywhere in the comments and I'll respond in kind. Till then, enjoy the journey and I'll see you in the skies!
@@TheReelRahim i feel frustraded flying the acro mode.. some says its not all about the rate but the movement of the stick...i have several crashes flying in actual
Kind of a step up to taking normal turns, especially if there is a need to negotiate obstacles. Take it slow, and best if u could get on a simulator to practice too. Fly safe ✌🏽
You're most welcome! Actually i spend ALOT of time on the sim when i was new at Acro w DIY drones. That GREATLY reduced my odds at crashing as e controls became muscle memory. E app is not perfect for this DJI FPV, but i hope it gives u enough of a practice to get familiar with the sticks. This was one of the things i felt DJI did not emphasize. It takes ALOT OF HOURS of flying to get familiar w FPV. Not to mention, some need to get used to motion sickness 😅
Hello mate I found you today and have watched loads of your videos I love the way you show us on screen, What mode are you on with controls because my power is the right stick. I am currently on mode one do you think 2-3 is better. Many thanks.
Thanks for much love, and i hope to make more controller on-screen videos. Anyways, i personally assess no benefit to Mode 1/2/3 physically. Doesnt matter if you are right/left handed, coz u are learning a skill from scratch (open-minded mindset). Im on Mode 2 and am a right hander. I have left-handed mates on Mode 2 and they fly just fine. And no excuse to follow game console controllers too, as different tool for different job. BUT there is learning benefit as many other youtubers that iv watched are on Mode 2. And many drones are on Mode 2. So for myself, iv stuck w Mode 2 for convenience of learning, and flying other drones. Explaination was kinda all over the place, but hope it makes sense as a personal preference. IF u intending to do the switch. Take e time to grind on the sim to get that muscle memory reset. Ill say the science part of things , is that rest/sleep more after the grinding as this would establish new brain wiring for the new things uv learned. May be good for u too as an additional ability. I have friends that fly all modes. Now, they are the real experts 🤟🏽🤟🏽🤟🏽
I have found the more I tilt the camera the faster I can go on turns and straight aways. I just changed from 20 ° to 25° and took several seconds off my time. I figure the more of an angle the drone is the more you can control it and whip it around a corner. I heard recently that 30 degree camera tilt is about the maximum more and you start loosing the ability to control the drone.
Yes actually! Racing drones are set at 45° and above. At that angle ROLLING will actually have more authority for the turns, BUT u will be at higher throttle to maintain altitude. More throttle = faster = more crash opportunities 😅 Gradually increment the camera angle and practice harder on the sim first before u get on the field. U will notice u will need less roll and yaw combined to make those hard turns.
Great vid and good pointers, followedvand thnx. Could you maybe add to the description details the DJI FPV rates and camera angle you used in the vid? Just a thought but would propably help many.
Thats much love! Now limiting to 1 episode per week due to work commitments. Hope that will let me focus on quality, instead of quantity. See you next week 🤟🏽
Tried a bit of that, and did not like it. Flipping and rolling is ok, but the Avata lacks the throttle authority that is much needed in fpv freestyle. Doesnt give me confidence in technical acrobatics, but a bit of split S or power loop is fine.
WOW...This one video alone, has taught me more about acro then all the other vids I've seen on FPV...thank you soo much!!

Thanks for the help with explaining how the controls work… I’m trying to learn before my Dji fpv arrives

I was able to spend some time with it yesterday, for my first time I just kept it on sport and man it’s very fun!

I got my turns better now! thanks for the tutorial!
Glad to hear mate and you're most welcome. Keep it smooth for that awesome cinematic look to your shots.
Keep doing it, good stuff man!
Haha the end! I enjoyed that
Almost became a statistic of #lastbatt curse 🤭😅

Great tutorial, keep it coming. Greetings from jakarta

A good pilot will always be learning to make his flight better / smoother / faster etc..glad it helped. So much to learn in the skies. Fly safe!

@@TheReelRahim no iPhone to practice the Sim, but for now I just fly up high to practice. Which mode are your controls set to? 1,2or 3?
Im on Mode 2. Purely out of convenience because many friends n YT vids are on Mode 2 too. Makes learning from others easier 😅
Excellent
