This is really cute, but I would like to reverse the Floorplan. I would rather walk into the kitchen from the garage than the living room. So I would just reverse everything.. super cute though

As the owner of a 1945 built 864 sq ft prairie ranch house (with an attached 624 sq ft shop/garage) I can say this barndo is my kind of place!
This information without price is useless.
Prices are going to vary with location budd. That’s why you get quotes from contractors🤦🏻♂️

There is a contractor in TX with a channel of his own. He said $140/SQ foot but a) that was in like 2021 or 2022 and b) he said it was heavily dependent on how raw the land is.. the more raw, the more per sq it will cost.

This is great for a single person or a minimalist couple. It would also make a great guest house for out of town family.
This is a step up for almost anyone living in an apartment. Nothing minimalist about it. It's just a small space. Hell, you could even turn it into a two bedroom with the loft.

I would flip the storage loft over the garage and have it open to the main living area. You can use the upstairs loft for guest. It'll also give you vaulted ceiling making the insade look bigger.

I like it but it’s too small to have a garage in it. I saw a similar one in Montana where barndominiums been around awhile too, and a separate stand alone had the garage. I applaud ya’ll for this effort at a tiny home option in a Barndominium! God bless you! This will be the perfect home for someone!!!
See to me this would be the ideal set up for me with the garage turned into a full quilting workshop instead! But still keep the rolling garage door to be able to open it up for fresh air and sunlight on good days.

Tiny homes are getting bigger and bigger.
Agree with many of the comments that the living room and kitchen spaces should be flipped so the garage enters the kitchen. I do like the one car garage but for me it is to large. I would prefer to see some of the garage space used for the mechanical area and laundry area which would allow the single bath to be opened up to a large size and be a bit more luxurious. But it is very nice as-is also.

Love that this is smaller floorplan YET has extra storage in laundr area. Id take out ONE set of cabinets (or else modify them) to accommodate a freezer.
I understand the "loft storage" in garage but find it impractical! Its difficult & somewhat dangerous to carry totes &/or boxes up & down those pull-down attic steps. I'd prefer vaulted ceilings in LV

I wanted to know exactly the same thing. According to this company, turn key build, $175 per square foot. This makes any of their homes over my budget. If you are lucky enough to own land and have access to water - sewer - electricity, I'd look further. If you are going to order just their plans and have your own people build it, that would wind up being a different price, of course. Hope that helps.

But as an older, single lady, I'm not sure how I would handle the issues around water, propane, electricity and maintenance. If I was younger, I wouldn't give it a second thought, I'd just do it. So glad you've found a great home!

$175 a square footage is outrageous. My neighbor who does custom stick build home quoted me $130 to $150 a square foot for a stick build home with crown molding, a. Stainless appliances, and granite countertops. While this is a nice small hour it is way overpriced.
Pretty nice home, it’s much nicer than a “tiny home.” I could do crafting in the oversized garage.
Yeah, 5 months out of the year. The other 7 months you would burn up in the Texas heat and humidity in that tin roaster.

Very nice. The living room/kitchen layout doesn't bother me. The only thing I would change is flipping the W/D and cabinets. If I leave that door open, I'd rather look at cabinets.
The noise when in operation would bother me though.
I'd suggest tossing the W/D in the garage to free up that space but I could see people not wanting that.
