Honestly you saved a truck load of money doing it yourself. The few times I've installed bars it seem to take a long time but was worth it in the end. I'm sure Momma B will love them. Great job brother. Eric
Yes and I like saving money, not to mention the better you know the bike, when your on the road the easier it is to find a problem. Thanks for always supporting us.
I’m like you I like to work on my bike. I used the same braided steel cable you used. The only difference is I taped some paracord to it and used an air compressor to blow it through the bars. Great job on the install and wiring was the worst for me. There’s different ways to complete the install and I like knowing what tips or tricks folks tried. Great info and better comfort for those long rides. Take care✌️🤙🤘
Thanks Randy, I watched your video before I did this job, if the way I did it didn't work I was going to try your way. Just something about doing it yourself.
Even tho it took you a little longer to install it's worth the money you saved doing it yourself brother, and the sure look better than the drag bar's, and I'm sure Momma will be more comfortable with the ape's on, good install brother💯👊🏽😎
I like the nacelle on her bike. is that a roadking kit made for softails? I bought the cable kit and went to two local indy shops and they both to rejected the work of doing the clutch/brake cables cuz they don't do half jobs. I guess they were pissed I didn't buy the cable kit through them. they wanted $500 for the kit, I paid $270 on Amazon😳. so I doing it myself🙄
@@TheBadgers I was reading on some of the dmv websites of the states I'll be crossing to Austin, TX. and some say can't be higher than 15" from the seat and another sezs 10" from the top tree, go figure! I don't want to use the stock fatboy bars. did that once to the blueridge, never again! I guess that would apply to local residents. out of state riders would be based on their state laws, maybe.
@@TheBadgers I hate that there isn't a place I can try stuff before I buy. So I'm trying to make a determination asking questions. I'm a short sh!t. So it's been making it hard to find things that fit me

Thanks for the info, the apes look awesome! Which seat do you have on this bike? I need one with a backrest that fits a tall rider!
It is the Corbin seat, the backrest is fully adjustable so it will work for a wide range of heights. Thanks for Watching!!
I'm terrified to do mine no matter how much UA-cam I watch. Lol. Glad you got to do the job on your own and saved yourself a few, bud.
Man you got this no problem, be sure to video it.
