I always thought that the public of this kind of music is very open minded and smart people. Come on guys, those are damn good musicians, they sang so many times with Dio and love him so much. This is a sign of respect. I went at this show along with other hundreds of people and we felt so good. I considered the hologram as a wonderful bonus, it appeared for only aprox 1/4 of show time, in rest Tim and Oni made a very good job; I would have paid the ticket only for the privilege to see and listen live these songs in that impeccable interpretation. I am sorry for the quality, but I filmed with my phone. The hologram was positioned about 4-5 meters behind, so is logic that Dio seems to be short, my clip is not 3D...
I consider myself fairly open-minded and smart and I've loved Ronnie's music for over 30 years. I saw him live many times with Dio through late 80's into the 90's, I saw him live when he got back with Sabbath in 1992 and saw him live many times after that in Dio and with Heaven and Hell. I saw most of the guys on this video live with him and many other greats like Jimmy Bain, Vinny Appice, Doug Aldrich and others who played in Dio. Great musicians with probably one of the greatest rock singers of all time. My take on it is if these guys want to tour and play the music with new singers then good for them BUT to play with a fake Ronnie? no way. it's just completely wrong. is it disrespectful? well I guess only Wendy Dio could answer that but for me to see one of the great live rock singers of all time reduced to a hologram is just completely wrong and awful.
Finally a very pertinent comment! Thank you, Phil! I am totally agree with what you wrote and I respect your opinion. But this is not the case here, I think the hologram was not the main event in this show, but the MUSIC and the band, the pleasure to remember Dio!!! Maybe I was wrong editing in that way the clip, the hologram appeared long after the beginning, and the public was already in some state of mind, so when the hologram showed, the public almost perceived it like a good spirit or something. I can not explain, you have to be there with other hundreds of people to feel that...
I've seen one similar show 18 years ago. It was when the Elvis in Concert tour started in 1998. I went to see it in UK when it came here for the first time in 2000. So this was a live band with Elvis performing on screen. The band at that point contained James Burton, Glen D Hardin, Jerry Scheff and Ronnie Tutt - so his original 1970's band, plus it featured the original Sweet Inspirations and Stamps Quartet. So same as the Dio show with all the original performers just not the original singer live. Was it Elvis? Well no so why did I go? Well in this case I'd never seen Elvis live as he never came to the UK so it was really just to get a taste of what a live Elvis show would have been like. I enjoyed it but it didn't have the feel of a live show with Elvis even with his live band there. You could see the band loved him and for them it was a tribute and for the Elvis estate it was a big pay cheque that continues to run although not sure how many/if any originals are in the show now. It was good to see those performers performing those songs but it wasn't an Elvis show. Dio shows were some of the best live shows I ever went to and I just wouldn't want to spoil those memories with a fake Dio hologram. As for Ripper Owen's I was never a great fan although I did see him live with Judas Priest many years ago but there is only one Priest singer and that was/is Rob Halford.

This finds me down in horrible grieve and endless tears. I saw him healthy and alive in these glorious days. So so often... I do not know what to think about this...
Just to be sure i have re-watched Dio on the latest performances and he never moved the way this thing moving,Dio never swung back and forth like this hologram.
Ditto. Not impressed. I almost feel like it's a Dio impersonator because some of the ad libs in these songs are not what Dio did, and it doesn't even sound like Dio really. The face in that hologram looks almost like a look alike. This is actually pretty sad.
Fantastic, thank you , are there any official videos? was good great live music, shame Ronnie was so small even though he was , i love the idea, I miss him soooooo much Long live Rock \""/
I love Dio, but this is just weird. Leave him to rest in peace. Seen him live a couple of times, always great. I don't think this is going to be a huge thing in the future....
I met Ronnie in 1985 when he came through Vancouver. Yes, he was a smaller man, but he was larger than life. I think that any method of remembering Ronnie in his glory years is okay with me. Hologram, live band or just listening to his music, just listen and re-live the power!
Technology is making the rock scene look cheap and petty. This is the perfect example. If this is the way of the future, i choose to remain in the past..... Gotta be live 2000% !
I WISH MORE GROUPS WOULD DO THIS KIND OF THING, I REALLY WANTED THE RAMONES TO CONTINUE ON WHEN JOHNNY AND DEE WERE STILL WITH US LIKE THIS OR WITH A MICROPHONE STAND AT CENTER STAGE WITH NO VOCALS EXCEPT FOR DEE DEE BACK-UPS AND HIS OCASIONAL LEADS. KIND OF A DEPRESSING IDEA ABOUT THE LONE MICRPHONE BUT IT COULD SYMBOLIZE THAT NO ONE COULD REPLACE JOEY. THIS HOLOGRAM IDEA IS ANOTHER WAY TO PROVE DIO CANNOT BE REPLACED! CONGRATULATIONS AND THANK YOU FOR DOING THIS! HAIL!
You want to see Ronnie live? Watch his live videos like it happens with all the other musicians who have passed! This is in such bad taste that I have a distinct feeling Ronnie himself would have nixed the whole idea...the man had integrity, class and a high level artistic vision. This looks and feels sad in a desperate kind of way........
orbital14 He would have hated it. He didn’t even want to or ever release the Hammersmith 1993 show it wasn’t up to his standards. Anyone who thinks he would have allowed anyone to control how he moves, doesn’t know much about him.
I was curious to see what a whole s hologram complete show was like. So thank you for uploading. But I would hate to know the money you spent on tickets. This is like paying a lot of money to go and watch a live DVD, in a big arena. Much more comfortable on my couch at home. And the Ronnie on my big screen, is probably bigger than this one.
For those guys who make stupid comments about hologram height, I repeat: it has the same height with Dio's, but is placed about 5 meters in the back, that's why it seems to be small on video.
I will tell you what is stupid is the fake singer. I just think to honor him they should have found a singer and put the proceeds to something he loved
God bless Our Caucasian folk of the world for bringing all people the advanced technologies we have all come to know, love, and depend upon. Without white ingenuity, and modernization of the world this and so many other amazing advancements and comforts would never be possible. God bless Dio and God bless Euro folk of the world. May the be protected and live on well.
Whether they shud be doin this or not....lets not forget its a tribute to Ronnie (R.I.P) and for the fans who never got the chance to see him in the flesh.
I saw a Ronnie James Dio in 1978 singing with rainbow , then twice in 1983 and once in 1984 , if you never had a chance to see him live this would be the next best thing for sure . The movement is a little much on the Hologram to me , but I completely respect Wendy and her decisions and everybody who comminuted negatively needs to chill out and get a life
Yeah as a huge Ronnie James Dio fan for over 30 years and having seen him live in the flesh many times as well as in many live videos of course, the real Dio didnt move like this, it looks more like some random person trying to imitate Dio after practicing for 5 minutes and then doing it in a very exaggerated manner. The voice track is surely from when he was in his 50´s or so rather than later and sounds good though. To me it however is grave robbing, there only was one Ronnie James Dio and he is dead sadly and no one/nothing can ever replace him, let him rest in peace and watch the real live videos instead and of course listen to all the great albums, that is a good way to celebrate him not this hologram.
This creeps me out worse than any horror movie. It would’ve been better with actual various live footage on a big screen in the background, while Ripper or whomever is actually singing.
Hmmmmm maybe I should do this with my cover band. Can't find a singer but I can make a crap load of holograms from UA-cam videos of different singers. Problem solved
In some ways the technology behind this is amazing and Im not totally against the idea, however Ronnie didn't move the way this Hologram does (i.e all the head movements)so for me it immediately doesn't 'feel' like him ..if that makes sense.
*For those complaining about Dio's height in this, (he was short anyway) use your imaginations, he's come back from the dead and singing thru a dimensional portal! I think this is a GAME CHANGER and at the VERY least gives fans who never got to see him live, an 'almost live' experience*
Live music with digital recorded audio? Why not just release the image of Ronnie with music on a dvd, bluray or netflix in HD. Where did the audio of ronnie's voice come from studio tracks?
Man, this "hologram" looks terrible. They would've been better off just projecting various live footage of Dio performing. This is just weird and creepy.
I always thought that the public of this kind of music is very open minded and smart people.

docela mě štvou revivaly , tohle je něco obdobného , poctivý muzikant pak hraje pro prázdný sál a někdo vydělává na slavném nesmrtelném jménu

Cmon Ronnie was taller than a bass guitar.
*Use your imaginations, he's come back from the dead and singing thru a dimensional portal!*
LMFAO
As he did play bass
He really wasn't.
@@Thirdfish of course he was DUMBASS
Just to be sure i have re-watched Dio on the latest performances and he never moved the way this thing moving,Dio never swung back and forth like this hologram.
the same thing i was thinking.
Ditto. Not impressed. I almost feel like it's a Dio impersonator because some of the ad libs in these songs are not what Dio did, and it doesn't even sound like Dio really. The face in that hologram looks almost like a look alike. This is actually pretty sad.
DIO is THE VOICE... Timeless pure like gold..
Dio always rules, but this is Weird... If he was here I think he would feel the same. 4 Ever Metal.......
The only time Stonehenge would be the appropriate size ... finally !
This was so KICK ASS! Seen Dio in concert twice - once at the Seattle Coliseum on New Years Eve 1985 - one of my favorite concerts Ever. Thank you!
The real tribute its call Last in Line with the original members
200% Agreed
To be honest...I would see a full show with Ripper and Oni. lol They didn't even need the hologram.
I’m probably one of the few that like this tribute
There’s never enough DIO imo
Thnx a lot for the upload
Fantastic, thank you , are there any official videos? was good great live music, shame Ronnie was so small even though he was , i love the idea, I miss him soooooo much Long live Rock \""/
Ronnie was not small. The hologram is way in the back, I think the spot lights in front would affect it, so this was the solution.
I know Dio was a small man, but come on.
Thank you for uploading this. I'm not at ALL a fan of the lame hologram, but I appreciate the upload.
Thank you! It was a two days work to post-processing the image of a simple phone...
And I was briefly taken back to This is Spinal Taps miniature Stone Henge set.....
Im glad i have seen 3 real Dio concerts... I never forget them,it was MAGIC... This is just to milk more money to Wendy Dio!
Good she deserves it all of it
This is a great tribute to Ronnie James Dio!!!! I had my doubts when I first heard of this. But they did a fantastic job, God bless you all!!!!
The ripper best singer there
great idea. Thanks for the video. R.I.P Dio
I have the chance in my life to see Ronnie with Black Sabbath, Dio, Heaven and Hell.....10 shows! RIP
I love Dio, but this is just weird. Leave him to rest in peace. Seen him live a couple of times, always great. I don't think this is going to be a huge thing in the future....
Let Dio rest in peace
Y'all are weird not this his wife supported this trying to bring the God of heavy metal back for the true fans, I would love to see this live.
love it brings me back when i seen him AWESOME
It needs Vivian Campbell so badly noone plays his licks right but him
And jimmy Bain (Rip)
Vivian and vinny apice
@James Morton its not that he couldn't stand him, Vivian Campbell just wanted too be paid what he is worth, and Wendy put a wedge between them
@@tommy2guns591 he wanted to be paid what he was promised actually
@@frodofraggins what i just said
Beautiful. He would be proud of Tim. I'm sure Wendy is proud. Thanks for making this happen for all of us.
I was curious about this hologram thing, musicians are doing a great job, But. This just confirms in my mind that DIO was Incomparable. RIP R.J.D.!

I AM SO GRATEFUL OF THIS VIDEO, WISH I WAS THERE TO START A FUCKIN' PIT!
Who did the measurements for Ronnie? The guys from Spinal Tap? He wasn't that fkin small
Dio you were the best sadly missed r.i.p
People embrace the soulless and fake out of sheer desperation.
This is like a really bad Disney World ride.
I knew something like this would finally come around nearly two decades ago
this is a good start
I FUCKING CRIED, THIS IS SPECTACULAR!
I have seen dio live many times and I am just happy they are keeping his music alive, now we need a Lemmy one .🙋
I enjoyed it, because it celebrates Dio's music and his iconic voice. I would go see it because I never got a chance to see him live.
The technology will improve. Years to come we will be downloading from spotify a 3D Jimi Hendrix to play in our homes.
zoso i do not give a crap about seing hendrix when there are so many amazing bands in the present
Weird
Technology is making the rock scene look cheap and petty. This is the perfect example. If this is the way of the future, i choose to remain in the past..... Gotta be live 2000% !
U are correct I would say about 30 years away max

nice to see him again thank you wendy and the band r.i.p ronnie
This guy they used for the hologram does not move the way Dio did. I would not go to see this.

I love it ❤❤❤❤😊😊😊
WOW, this is very cool. The technology will only get better. Very creative, can't wait for AI to get involved in virtual concerts.
the best metal's voice ever!

The world is sick.
Damm so real you would think they were really touching each other. The 5 high was so real
Check out Last in Line with Vivian Campbell. Much better -I wonder what Ronnie would think of this.
That fucking awesome.id go see that.🤘👍👏
You would think that we would have better holograms then this by now!!! Love you Ronnie R.I.P.

I know Dio was tiny, but that's ridiculous. It's like "Mini Dio".
If I want live Dio I'll listen to his live records.
Where is the atmosphere in a hologram and ripped vocals from Live Evil by Black Sabbath.
omg, i
I know dio was short but he wasn't this short.
let ronnie rest in peace , forgot sake
I don't know what to think, creepy comes to mind, ghoulish maybe? It must look better in the theater.
This may be terrible to some but the technology is freaking amazing! Wait another 5 to 10 years. Wow..
Nesecitamos algo así en ciudad de Toluca..... Cuando vienen x acá ???
Hmmmmm maybe I should do this with my cover band. Can't find a singer but I can make a crap load of holograms from UA-cam videos of different singers. Problem solved
Bien ... Cuando traen su show a México .... Nesecitamos algo así de poderoso .... Nada como DIO forever
I think it's pretty damn cool!
Q Genial!!!
Great sounding band
Looks like the Mini-Me Version of Dio. If people enjoy it, let them watch it. I wouldn't do it.
Mr Goldy is a bad ass.
Spinal Tappish.
Jesus. Dio was a small man... But, not the Diet Dr Pepper guy...

Dio...
The world...
Wait?!?!
The voice of DIO is unique
Bien foutu !!!!
Dio forever
I know Dio was short but he's tiny in this show or he's way back there. I saw a different video where his image was closer to the front.
Love Ronnie, got all his albums but this is bullshit creepy. What's next? John Bonham, Gary Moore, Jon Lord and Phil Lynott joining in?
🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻DIO🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
Hi, I am curious. It says this was recorded on a smart phone. very interesting. the audio is in full stereo. was the audio also from the smart phone?
The sound was recorded also with a Zoom H1 and synchronized in post. Of course, with some tweaks in Adobe Audition.
thanks for the reply
This is so crazy I'm trippen
That s not the way he moved on stage at all
This is what happens in a country starving for good music. Even this shit is popular.
Live music with digital recorded audio? Why not just release the image of Ronnie with music on a dvd, bluray or netflix in HD. Where did the audio of ronnie's voice come from studio tracks?
Cool !!! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Man, this "hologram" looks terrible. They would've been better off just projecting various live footage of Dio performing. This is just weird and creepy.
He is alive and looks terrible. Probably from dressing up as Wendy all the time after faking his death.
it looked great live. maby camera didnt catch it that great. I was on Dio Returns in Cracow Poland. Hologram was good.
I great version
AWESOME!!!🤘
Good Players!🤘
God bless!🛐
LUV IT !!!!
Like it, DIO rocks
Man I still remember buying Holy Diver at a flea market man. Takes me back to being a kid man! Last in Line was another great one man.
Best album every1 say the same all goes bac to the di-ver
Matthew Rogers I love that album. When vinyl was the thing man. Album cover art meant something and flea markets existed, at least where I live.
