An error I noticed is he states this is how you do it on a 2013, 2014, and 2015. His 2015 is a different body style than 2013 and 2014 and these instructions may or may not fit those year models. I just did my 2016 which is the same as his 2015. Do not just rip off the access panel the way he does. There is a flat, wide plastic screw at the top that you just turn a quarter either way using a coin or a wide flat blade stubby screwdriver and it unlatches. Mine was difficult to turn but I eventually got it. Do not pull out the rivit holding the bottom of the panel. It's not meant to come apart. Just rotate the panel down or bend it back. Also when unplugging the connector from the bulb be careful not to break the clip that secures the connector to the bulb. Stick a small flat blade screw driver under the clip and twist it to raise the clip out of the way so the connector can be pulled out of the bulb. It may take some effort to wiggle and pull it out.
Thank you! The whole reason I looked at this video was because I couldn't get that plastic screw to turn on the panel and then the guy in the video says "Just pop the panel open" and I thought there's no way that could be right haha.
I wouldn't pop the whole cover off like this video says. Take off the top screw only with a washer or a nickel then leave the bottom screw on since it's a rivet and a pain to put back on. Slide the cover around to get out of your way. Trust me it'll be easier when you put everything back on. All other instructions were fine. Thank you.
I am 16 years old. I have never changed my headlights before. I watched your video you said to turn the yellow thing. I did it never came off. Had to watch another video to change my light. Thank you anyway.
The only thing I would correct you on is the panel does not really pop off. There is a screw at the top of the panel that you turn a 1/4 of a turn. That lets the panel rotate out of the way. The bottom part you popped off needed to stay connected. Mine is now broken because of that. Other than that perfect.
Auto zone told me corporate doesn’t let them do jobs that take more than 10-15 minutes thanks to your video got it done 11 minutes after the sale and had a real nice thanks for nothing moment when I returned the nickel I borrowed from one of the employees.
Thanks sir cuz so many mechanic man they don't know shit for real I have my Chrysler 200,2015 he takes all the bumper out just to put a light bulb and he spent all day on it
Yea, NO! Bottom of access cover is held by a butterfly rivet, which you'll have to replace if you rip it off. The upper joke of a fastener may be impossible to turn but turn you must counter clockwise 1/4 to release. I pried into pieces but was able to reassemble. Luckily I had a butterfly rivet as well.
To reiterate an earlier comment: Do NOT pull the panel from the bottom, as demonstrated. This is a riveted pivot point. Use a wide stubby screwdriver to turn the fastener at the top of the panel 1/4 turn in either direction. I made this mistake but managed to pop the rivet back in the hole. Otherwise, easy peasy.
Matt's video and directions have a flaw in them. He says, "Just pop the panel off." Don't follow his example. What Matt popped off at the bottom of the panel is a rivet. You can see in his video he tries to push it back in. Good luck with that. The top of the panel has a plastic slotted screw looking thing. Turn that 90 degrees, and the top of the panel will open, and you can rotate it out of the way, pivoting on the rivet. I followed Matt's directions. Now I need to get a new rivet from Chrysler to get it put back together correctly.
I wish I’d read your comment before I popped off my panel too. You’re right, the slotted screw at the top is how you remove the panel, then just pivot it around the rivet. The rest of the video is spot on and it really is that easy. One more tip is to raise the hood to get more light down there.
Be careful with the part about popping the peace off to access lightbulb. You're suppose to unscrew the top piece and swing it down. If you do it this way, you won't be able to pop it back in.
I use to have to take the whole tire off to do this.. I never thought to just turn the stealing wheel 😩😂🤷♂️ good stuff!
Glad I could help 👍
Iusy say I was very proud doing it myself 👍🌷
VSO haha. I took off the air filter in the engine once to get at it
😂😂
Thanks! I'm going to look like a genius when my son brings his over later today to change the bulbs! lol
Genius!

Forreal shit is hard now to put it back on after watching this…

Needed this video!!!!! Thank you !!!!!🙏
You really helped me from beating my car to death with an ax. I never would have looked at the wheel for that little door. Thank you.

Should've read the comments first. Same.
Same. The bottom part is riveted, at least in my car. I have to replace my other headlight right now, so this was a helpful reminder!!
I just fixed my headlight after this video thank a lot
Thank you so much... What a game changer
Thank you!! This helped so much! Quick, simple, and to the point you’re amazing
Glad to help
Facts
thanks you find the simplest way
Mingjie Han I’m glad to help.
That was easier than I was expecting
I can’t get the driver side bulb out for some reason any tips?
How did you get the rivet to pop back in so easily? I’m struggling right now with this
lafaye85 the rivets don’t go in so well. It’s ok. You can just tape the panel to close it
@@epsala6676 or.... you can just unscrew the screw on top.. and not rip rivets out
Answer: he didn’t. If you look closely, it’s just kind of hanging there. It’s a major glaring error in this video. See other comments.
Auto zone told me corporate doesn’t let them do jobs that take more than 10-15 minutes thanks to your video got it done 11 minutes after the sale and had a real nice thanks for nothing moment when I returned the nickel I borrowed
from one of the employees.
Thank you 🙏🏾
Do you go through the same panel to change out the turn signal bulb??
(3. Years. Later.) No, you can get to the turn signal bulb through the engine bay.
Thank you sir.
Thanks a ton bud.
Are these the brightess ones?
THANK YOU! 👍
Did these come out white? I bought the Sylvanias XZE and came out yellow went down to silver star “brighter whiter” and still yellow
What bulb does a 2016 chrysler 200 take?
Made it look so easy
Thanks sir cuz so many mechanic man they don't know shit for real I have my Chrysler 200,2015 he takes all the bumper out just to put a light bulb and he spent all day on it
READ THE COMMENTS BEFORE CHANGING YOUR BULB!!! There is a major glaring error right at the beginning of this video!

You sir are a legend. Thanks for sharing how easy it is! Also is the passenger side as easy or complicated?
Same on passenger.
Thank you
Autozone told me that this was a 40 minute process so unfortunately they weren't able to help me out lol
Haha. Awesome.
At least they thought to put an access panel! I hate having to take that wheel well apart!
About to change mine now
Thank you sir

How were you able to get it back in? I’m having issues with that
Preciate ya Matt. I'd have never found that little flap. Had a bit of trouble closing it though. Thoughts?
Me too, hard to close
thanks bro.. i saw a guy tear half his front end apart...
I have a 2015 and definitely don't pop the panel off from the bottom

Yeah it just fucked up my panel now god dammit
An easy 10 minute job.

Twist it left or right to open that plastic screw
“You just pop it open”….ummm no.
Great video but would’ve been even more helpful to show the other side as well .
Bro this video is useless you didn’t even show how you had to twist the yellow thing just show your arm moving
Who designs this shit?! They just don't design cars to be worked on anymore man
Thank you
