Don't get CL36 or CL34, go for CL30 or CL32 if you can

@@3_kids_one_shot726CL (short for CAS Latency, which is short for Column Access Strobe Latency) is the number of clock cycles it takes the RAM to start delivering bits of data from memory after receiving a READ command (assuming the row in which the data was stored is already active).
The important thing is that this is measured in clock cycles, not time. So a 2000 MHz CL20 stick and a 4000 MHz CL40 stick both have the same amount of time latency, because, for the 4000 MHz stick, it takes twice as many cycles, but the cycles are twice as fast, so the latency is the same.
For DDR ram, you can get this time latency, known as "first word latency" with the formula (CL*2000)/(speed in MHz)=FWL (in nanoseconds). If you previous examples, for both sticks, you get a FWL of 20ns (which is awful, but this is just an example).
Hope this helps at least a little bit...

    I have CL32 32gb 6000 with an XMP tune for my main build which is DDR5. It’s a beast for gaming. I just made a 2nd build with CL16 16gb 3200

Keep in mind even if you buy the same brand and model of memory from a company doesn’t mean you’ll get the same memory modules. This could cause incompatibility as micron and Samsung modules might not play well together, mix between kits at your own risk.

I'm running older DDR4 3600, CL16's that defaulted to CL15. it makes a bit more difference in 1% lows. Kinda smooths out the base number, brings it more inline with the avgs.

Where to find what ram is compatible with your MB for overclocks?

Usually the ones with my mhz already have low latency just for the fact that they are the best. It’s hard to make a mistake of getting low latency but high mhz. Even getting the best looking ones will give you low latency or the most popular

cl30 is great, usually you can find 6000Mhz cl30 for like 100 usd, IMO that or 6400Mhz cl32 is the best

I mean it doesn't really matter. What matters is the die manufacturer, so any >6000m/t kit should at least be Hynix M die. If you know the die type, you can tighten timings yourself, aiming towards whats typically possible with that specific die
