Thank you for this one. I'm a meat lover, but with prices the way they are, I'm barely eating it once a month. Always appreciate grain/bean/frozen veg options to amp up what my garden is producing. Here is my best budget tip that I suspect will be novel. You can get 8 oz of Great Value Smoked Sea Salt for $4.84. That's expensive for salt, but about half what you'd find elsewhere for smoked salt. When cooking in the air fryer, especially for meatless meals, it adds an amazing savory grilled flavor.

I had a 2 lb pkg of ground beef to cook. So I did it in 2 batches 1 lb at a time. The first lb, I followed your lead and put foil on the bottom. It was a pain to scoop the meat out and then have to deal with the greasy grate and the teeny pieces of meat that fell through, etc. So, the next batch I put the meat directly into the bottom of the pan and cooked it down there. Then used the grate by putting it over the cooked meat (as a fitted strainer), held it in place and poured the grease into my grease can and it was a lot less messy.
I am addicted to your videos. Thank you for sharing all of your recipes and secrets!

Just got my very first air fryer...the Cosori Dual Blaze. My first try was a large bag of Brussels Sprouts and Roasted potatoes. So easy and my grandson who only eats the crisped leaves of the sprouts actually ate some of the whole ones that got nice and crispy. WIN!!!

You're definitely an amazing lady here with air fryer cooking Kathy! Love watching you and your sweet kids throughout your videos. We got an air fryer gifted to us last Christmas and have been using it for a few things. There's just the two of us, now, but I would have loved to have this appliance when I was cooking for my family. So great of you to spend your time sharing all you do and I thank you. I do find I have used the air fryer more than the instapot we got 2 years ago. ❤

I recently found canned black beans with jalapeño by Ortega. All Mexican seasonings are included. I sliced Turkey Cheddar sausage and air fried until they where a bit toasty. Added the beans, lightly drained, and air fried until hot. Topped with cheese to melt. It came out delicious! I had found the case of beans on Amazon, about $1 a can, the sausage on sale for $3.99. This made 2 good sized meals for me.

I had the same problem with my tortilla's flying open during air fryer cooking; so I used your idea of placing a metal grate, or small metal pie pan on top of the food - works great! I love these air fryer recipes. You have some great ideas! Thanks for sharing.

Hi Cathy - thank you for teaching me how to use my air friers (yes, I own two Cosoris now)! I love your videos and cookbook! My money saver is my small, but mighty hand held FoodSaver sealer. I love the concept of the FoodSaver, but don’t always love the big machine (no room on my counter) and making my own bags. I found the little rechargeable hand held and buy the pre-made “zip lock” bags that go with it. The pre made bags are an investment, but I wash them well, air dry them and use them many times. The money I save on tossing out freezer burned food more than makes up for the cost of the bags. Thanks again! ❤️

I discovered something interesting with the Cosori 5.8 qt. I had to buy a new basket, because the handle broke away from the basket. I found out if that happens, save the handle! If you want to cook food without the basket, the handle comes in handy to still use the air fryer.

We love “taco potato” around my home. Bake a potato like regular, and cook up your taco meat. Make up your baked potato like you would regularly eat it (butter n sour cream S&P) and top with taco meat, cheese, dollop of sour cream and taco sauce (hot or mild, whatever) and it’s super yummy, and filling!!!

While I like all the recipes and definitely have a few favourites (Cdn. spelling! 😊), my absolute favourite is the bean and cheese burrito. Since I am the only one that eats them, I usually buy them frozen and keep some on hand for when I am making a meal for only myself. However, your recipe is so easy, I'm going to be doing them myself from now on. 😋

If we don’t have the dual blaze, on recipes where you take the grate out, would an aluminum pan in our regular air fryers have a similar effect?
Secondly, on the items you say freeze well, do you defrost first? (Specifically the burritos and bbq burritos)

I always learn a lot from you. I would NOT be using the airfryer like I do if not for your videos, thank you!
Mine is similar to your sweet potato dish. I oil and bake russet or sweet potatoes whole, then slice in half and break them up in the skins, then top with my beans (i cook from dried and always have a variety of cooked beans in the freezer). Then I top with scallions, plain yogurt, tomatoes, cucumber, and cheese. I think of it as potatoes and beans with a salad on top.
If I’m feeling ambitious, I’ll melt the cheese on the potatoes to bubbly before adding the salad fixins.

My motto is "cook once, eat twice" so Tuesday's dinner might also be lunch on Thursday. However, my family sometimes decides they want seconds or even thirds! So much for meal prepping! Instead of letting them eat two meals at once, package up the leftovers and prep a simple dessert like fruit salad, jello, or pudding.

Oh..and yes you can still use that pit to grow 🪴 it 👍😉😁

I used to do it like that but the sodium content is very high..if not wrong about 1000 mg of sodium or more in 1 bag...its the seasoning that's high not the noodles...I miss eating them because of high blood pressure.

@@dianapardo6872 I use 1/4 to 1/2 the seasoning packet. Still get the flavor with much less salt. I save the rest of the packet for the next ramen noodles dish. Unopened packets I save for my homemade chicken soup.

This has nothing to do with the recipes lol but we bought and LOVE our cosori air fryer thanks to you :) I think it’s the cosori pro? Anywho can you give any tips on how to touch the buttons so they work? I find myself cursing at the fryer because half the time touching the button pad doesn’t seem to do anything as far as change prompts. Is there a secret to how I should be touching this? (Sorry that last sentence reads a little weird🤣😆)

GREAT ideas, recipes and techniques!! I'm learning sooooo much from your videos! One question - - I'm in the market for a new air fryer and have narrowed my search down to the Cosori - but - is there a way to either remove or at least tone or turn down the very loud, high pitched "beep" that the units make when pressing buttons and/or when cooking time is complete? Thank you so much for your very informative and entertaining videos!! I'll be making those delicious Honey Garlic Meatballs this evening - YUM!!

But - if I were brave (or desperate) enough to do it, I would probably remove that little devil. Wonder if the air fryer police would come after me... LOL!!! Thank you so much for answering so quickly and for the link... 🙂

Oh dear!!! So many great recipes. I'm hungry! Two questions: 1) when using the Pyrex baking dish, how in the world do you get it out of the air fryer without burning your fingers/hands? 2) I cook for one. If I don't have an appropriate sized rack to hold down parchment paper or tortillas, what can I use as weights? Can I use a couple nuts or bolts strategically placed? (I checked Amazon for "air fryer weights" but found nothing.) Enjoyed the video. Thank you, thank you!!!!!

Hi Barbara! I use a towel, silicone mitts, or oven mitts. A viewer recently shared this with me and they love it - amzn.to/3BPV9eh

@@empoweredcooks OMG, those plate grippers will fill the bill (as the saying goes). I tried the pot holders/towel/silicone mitts thing. There just isn't enough room... I fear burning fingers. Thank you and your viewer for that info. The nuts and bolts thing sounded weird to me after I posted it. I hope it didn't sound TOO stupid. Do you think it will be OK to place some strategically placed (clean) hardware (I'm thinking some nuts from the Lowe's hardware aisle) to keep my parchment liner from being sucked into the heating element. Had that happen last week. Fortunately I was in the kitchen and smelled the burning paper before it did any harm. Thank you for your time. Love your channel and your taste testers! God bless.
