I put off getting an air fryer for years because I didn't want yet another appliance! I know so many people who love theirs so I finally broke down and bought one. I wanted to make sure I got a good one so I asked @Mandyinthemaking which one she loved and bought the one she recommended. No regrets here! I now get the hype and use it multiple times a week. Thanks, Mandy, for the recommendation!

I bought the Ninja Foodi for just that reason. It performs many cooking tasks including air frying. It saves on several appliances. I gave my regular air fryer to a friend. It is best to take the basket out and pour the food out. The bottom of the fryer basket will have some oil and it will pour out onto the food.

Becky, my air fryer is a French door style by Emeril Legssi, I have been using it for all kinds of things! It has a rotisserie, a convection oven as well. I can fit a 9 x 13 baking dish with a breakfast casserole in it too, I fried bacon in it tonight! It cost me $300.00 free shipping, it has made my 69 year old self very happy! ❤😂😊

I don't have a kitchen, I cook on a hotplate and toaster oven, and have a microwave. My daughter had a air frying similar to yours that sat for two years since she got it as a gift, so I asked to use it. I loved it, but my use, helped her realize that with 3 kids, its easy to use, doesn't heat the house, and cooks quickly. So I went looking to buy one for myself. I found one that is large enough for a 13 inch pizza, looks like a microwave, but is a toaster oven, convection, bake, dehydrate, air fry, and an air roast function. This gives me even more ways that I can easily cook food. I love it. It has a wire basket, to air fry in, and a pan that goes in the bottom, to catch anything or can be used to broil. Its ....so easy to clean. I haven't spent a lot of time trying new things, but I did make a loaf of banana bread in it. Because it is air, like yours it does make noise, however in this large one, its not as loud as the bucket style like yours. I learned a lot from this video.

@@lisa1762able Its a Fabuletta, I had a toaster oven, I made pizza, banana bread, cookies, I got good at using it, but I missed having a full size oven, and like I said, I borrowed my daughter air fryer, and when she started using it, I missed it. This air fryer, is so much better, and easy to clean as well. It comes with a instruction book, that has a handful of recipes, I wish it had a lot more. It's hard to find a book, that uses the various features this oven has. I typically look online for how long to cook things in it. I got mine from Amazon, it was on sale, 20 dollars off, and I think there was a coupon I could click for even more off.

We have a basket air fryer currently (Gourmia), but once we move, I plan to buy an oven-style air fryer like you did (I'm looking at the Ninja Foodie). I think the oven style will be easier to use for baking small batches of things, or cooking two different dishes at once. More like a mini oven, but with convection.

As a side note, my house cleaner and I were laughing really hard because we find ourselves talking about you like you're one of us. I am 74 and just like you I didn’t want gadgets in my kitchen. I like clean counters, however three weeks ago I bought the same brand as you Cosori. I bought a different model called their Dual Blaze air fryer which cooks from the top and the bottom at one time. You don’t have to do that shaking or flipping of the product. I highly recommend that one.

Enjoy your new Kitchen Toy, I love my AF and seeing a new users excitement on this tool. Just FYI , Seafood especially fish from a store in a package should be rinsed and then dried before use. As a Commercial Fishermans Wife I am spoiled and usually eat the fish the day it is caught. Do not keep fish for days in the fridge. Freeze if you can't cook it within 2 days, rinse and dry the fish and then vacuum pack or get the air out of a ziplock under water. Cook the day you buy or maybe the next day, When you get the fish home suggest you take out of the package, wrap in a paper towel then put in a Ziploc or sealed container. Change the paper each day. You don't want your fish filet sitting in those fish liquids.

I try to have it the day it was caught or the next day. If I can't get fresh I use frozen. We live near the ocean so all our fish is from the sea. I have no knowledge or experience with lake/river fish.

One of my favorite things to fix in my Air Fryer is Pork Tenderloin. I set it out on the counter for about 30 minutes to come to room temp, rub it down with olive oil and your favorite rub ( I usually make my own with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, dried thyme, and dried parsley. ) Cook at 380 for approximately 10-15 minutes, flip and cook an additional 10 or so minutes. Comes out so tender and juicy. You should also try roasting different veggies in it. I love making Asparagus, brussels sprouts, roasted cauliflower, sweet potatoes the list could go on. Just spray them with cooking spray, season them up and cook at 400 for 8-15 minutes depending on what veggie your making and you have an amazing side to go with any dinner you have planned.

Greetings from Australia and I have just started following your channel in the past few months. As you get older, the doctors remind you to lose the saturated fats in your recipes. Now, we use our air fryer all of the time. With gluten and lactose problems shared between us, we can enjoy our comfort food in a much healthier process. GF Chicken nuggets with Thai sweet chilli sauce and natural yoghurt. Crunchy potato and sweet potato chips/fries. The recipes just keep coming to mind of how much we use this appliance. Yep, it is much more cleaner and safer than a deep frying technique, especially if you have toddlers in the home.
Becky, I just wanted to add a comment to say that I am really enjoying your channel and are rather amazed at your initiative and productiveness. I found your channel, when my orchard came into fruit just before Christmas and I needed to work out how to do bottling/canning in a water bath; we have summer in Australia whilst you have winter in the USA. I usually make jams, relishes and chutneys with sterilised jars and wax sealing. But, I needed to freeze, dehydrate and especially jar up this fruit to enjoy during the months that our trees are dormant. You have inspired me to plant autumn/fall crops in my veggie garden, buy the Ball's preserving cookbook and make some pickles. After this video, I am adding condiments to my list. I've never heard of Bang Bang sauce and we love chilli dishes. My hubby is so thankful that I have found your channel and is enjoying my home-made goodies. So, here is a huge thank you for all of your inspirational vlogs from gardening to preserving. I cannot wait to enjoy the next video.

My favorite, unexpected, thing to cook in my air fryer is asparagus. I used to always grill it, but if I'm not cooking anything else on the grill, I'm not gonna get it out and heat it up just for asparagus. Love the air fryer. Just run it in your pantry so the noise doesn’t disturb your video making. I use the liners, but don’t preheat with liners in the machine as they can fly up into the fan and burn. Just be aware that the upper fan will become coated with grease and more and will also require cleaning over time not just the basket. However, the air fryer is excellent for a far healthier way of cooking.

I immediately put a little water and detergent in and let it soak a few minutes - no fuss. I also use only a spray oil - no propellent spray - as over time it can make the nonstick basket coating wear off. I make almost anything in it - quick, tasty, no mess! Enjoy watching you cook!! 🙂

Happy Sunday Becky, Josh and friends.👋 I LOVE my air fryer countertop oven. I use it multiple times a day. It’s just me and my hubby (empty nesters). I only use my big oven for the Holidays. I’ve done EVERYTHING in my air fryer. I always mist what I’m cooking (proteins) with oil to aid in browning, especially when making fried chicken. I’m salivating watching you sauce that chicken. It fries fish good too. Fried food without all the grease, much healthier. I don’t cut foods out I adapt to make healthier. Yes, it’s MUCH CLEANER. I’m all for less cleaning.😁 I cannot stand frying on my stovetop. For me the mess is NOT worth it. There are those eyes that I love. You speak with your eyes. My daughter was the same when she was little.❤️ You can also get parchment paper inserts or cut them yourself. Big plus in the cleaning department. I ALWAYS use parchment paper. You can also cook halfway and flip so you guarantee browning/crisping on both sides. Yes, no fishy smell in the house with the air fryer. I do my chicken flour, egg, flour. Makes a nice crispy coating. Set for half the cooking time. Then flip, spray and continue for the remaining time. Yay, Josh likes the fried chicken sandwich.🎉🎉🎉 Yes, donuts in the air fryer. YUMMO! You are going to have SO MUCH fun experimenting with your new air fryer. Tfs, this was fun. Enjoy the rest of your Sunday.🤗

My first air fryer was a Cosori and I absolutely LOVED it! Air fryers are really just mini convection ovens, so they're going to make noise. It's the convection fan you're hearing. It sounds so much louder because it's right on your counter and an air fryer doesn't have the insulation that an oven does to dampen the sound.
Probably someone has already told you that, but if not I hope that helped. ❤
ETA: My oven went on the fritz and I used my air fryer for cooking EVERYTHING! (My cooktop still worked fine, though) I made casseroles, cakes, cookies. I roasted whole chickens, pork tenderloins and pork loins, ham for Easter and turkey breast for Thanksgiving, etc.
Actually, I used it for the whole Thanksgiving dinner! I made pecan pie and pumpkin pie, homemade yeast rolls, from scratch green bean casserole (no canned soup or onions - made mine myself), scalloped corn, Baked a dish of homemade dressing (AKA stuffing) and finally cooked the turkey breast (one year I made a small Butterball boneless turkey roast product instead to have some dark meat. I made the sides ahead and just before the turkey was done, warmed them in the microwave while I made mashed potatoes. Then I made the gravy while the turkey rested. To finish off, I popped the rolls into the air fryer to bake while I cooked some Brussels sprouts in the microwave, dressed them with a simple lemon and butter sauce, and dinner was complete.
Of course this would never work for a regular family or a large gathering! But it's perfect for someone who lives alone or has a small family of 2-3, maybe even 4 because of the number of dishes. Of course, you need to have casseroles that fit. I have several Corning casseroles and Anchor Hocking and Pyrex dishes that hold 2.5 qts so plenty big enough. The pies are smaller than a full size pie. I just bought some smaller pans on Amazon, made 2 pies from each of my regular recipes and froze one of each for later.

Have had air fryers about 10 years and believe me I use it, I’m now on my fourth one.
The chicken would have browned better with a little spray of oil. If you don’t have an oil sprayer please get one.
Not recommend to use sprays like Pam. I’m sure you use a better oil . The aresol oils have ingredients you don’t want in the fryer

I have been using mine for several years and have not used a frying pan on my stove for most of that time as I love the air fryer . With sticky marinades and things that can stick I used to use paper liners but have been using silicon mats for those sorts of recipes and find it is so easy to just wash them after use and it saves the food from sticking to the base of the pan. Looking forward to more fresh recipes. Great work ❤️❤️❤️❤️

The model I have is made by a company called Tower T17076 combo 10 in 1 digital airfryer, it is not a drawer style but more like a small standard oven. • @Lucinda_Jackson
      @Lucinda_Jackson 3 місяці тому +1

One like Pam that uses a propellant will cause damage. The issue isn't the oil but the propellant. Most commercial olive or avocado sprays do NOT use propellants. The oil literally sits in a vacuum bag inside and the oil is forced through the nozzle by pressure. When you press the button, it allows air from the room to enter the can around the bag of oil which 'squeezes' the bag and pushes the oil out.

I lived in Alaska for eleven years, and WAS is, by far, the best seafood I've been able to get my hands on now that I'm back to living in my home state of Colorado. Several mornings a week I will make 2 frozen hashbrown patties and a breakfast sandwich in the af. Another tip to getting a good crunch on fries or anything that is usually fried is to spray it with some olive oil before frying it helps give it the browning and extra snap. hello! great video! About the liners, I have a large air fryer and to protect the non stick surface and prolong its life (killed the non stick on my first one within 2 years), I use a reusable silicone mat (with holes) in the basket. It also helps to soak it before cleaning, not a new concept but requires thinking ahead😊
edit: My personal tip for after you wash it, is to dry the outer part of the bowl and stick the basket in and air fryer dry the rest. Just run the air fryer for a few minutes and it's all dry😁
