Appreciate yall showing my Magic some love 💯💯
I appreciate you guys showing love to our Orlando Magic; I’ve always been a fan of Legler’s game analysis..He’s one of the brightest at seeing the game from a different perspective!!!
You must have a mouse in your pocket
Appreciate the love for the Orlando Magic, this was an incredibly honest breakdown. (1) national game for Paolo Banchero and he's been both the ROY and an All-Star in 2 Seasons and people dont know how good he is yet. They will soon learn of the two Monsters in Orlando
Wow, somebody talking about the magic
Seriously, it's been such a big talking point this month.
Jalen Suggs 3PT% is 39.3% this year. I’m unsure how he needs to shoot better to be considered a consistent floor spacer. 🤔
He’s a decent analyst but it’s clear he’s barely watched any magic games.
He literally said he’d take Houston top 3 over the Magic’s.
Sengun/Paolo is debatable, truly
Jabari/Franz is closeish but imo Franz clears
Whitmore/Suggs is a bit disrespectful to Suggs, Whitmore can score but what does he give you outside of that? He’s the same player as Jalen Green with a bigger body and lower usage.
Suggs is already one of the better defenders in the league and shooting 40% on high volume. He’s the reincarnation of Jrue Holiday.
@@jamesbiorci1270Sengun and Paolo ain’t debatable especially Franz and Jabari. Jabari has no bag
Shooting a high percentage is one thing. Having legitimate shooting gravity and creating space is another. You can shoot 39% one year and not be a true flirt spacer yet.
franz is way better than jabari bro what??@@jamesbiorci1270
The Magic are a better team and they still have more than 40mill in capspace to spend this off-season. They are on track to win 48 games this season. That’s crazy for such a young team.
Franz will get his (super) max so i dunno
@@bamiyamoto8187Franz is not a free agent this year. He still has one year remaining on his current contract.
Markelle Fultz and Garry Harris are free agents after the season their combine salary is $30 mil. Use that money to sign or trade for another star
I’m a Magic fan, but Houston’s young guys got a shit ton of talent, but they seem to lack chemistry. That’s what’s making Orlando so good so early since Weltman always fixated on that as a goal imo.
@@AaronTatsthey’ve got talent for sure. The Magic just have more. Remember the Rockets spent a ton of money on Vanvleet and Brooks last offseason. They should have a better record than the Magic, but they don’t. The Magics big off-season could come this year. If they win 47 games this year and add a very good guard in free agency. What can they accomplish next year with a more experienced core? 50 wins? 55+?
Right now it’s Orlando, they have 4-5 guys at PF/center that could be future all stars, I really like Franz Wagner, Paolo, and Wendell Carter Jr. they also have a crazy amount of good guards as well, they probably need to fill out the small forward spot. Houston has a lot of upside, I think they’re just a little bit behind Orlando. I’d keep them behind Orlando because of Jalen Green being pretty immature, I do like Sengun and Jabari Smith Jr., they’re the core pieces.
We have Franz Houstan and Howard for the SF spot but can still draft one more coz our FO loves wings
i think franz is pretty set at the sf, last year they even played him in the backcourt
id like to offer some pushback on the point made that sengun, unlike jokic, can not control a game late and the ball doesnt get to him all the time down the stretch. this is a coaching problem and a personnel problem. the rockets all season have had trouble closing and its in large part due to not being able to get the ball to sengun consistently in the clutch. they just struggle to make entry passes.
sengun also has one of the highest ts% in the entire league in the 4th.
He’s 21, nobody was asking jokic to take over games at 21
As a rockets fan I’ll be honest as of right now it’s the Magic and the simple reason is they know who their main guys are out of their core pieces
It’s Paolo and Franz the Magic got a legit all star in Paolo who going to continue to get better with his playmaking and you got Franz who is a borderline or is already a all star level player and he has pretty much taken the role as the Magic second best player.
Suggs looks like be becoming a good 3 and D player even though he actually a PG/SG.
Anthony Black I really love his game. He a great ball handling guard but he can obviously play off ball and become a slasher to the basket due to Paolo handling the ball mostly.
They got a good big in Wendell and they Cole Anthony and Isaac off the bench.
This Magic team is more set up then ours at the moment to be a contender in the long run if they want to they could go all in on a super star if they wanted.
As of my rockets we have Sengun who an all star level player he slowly getting in to that superstar level of play. However we have a GM and front office that don’t believe in him and much rather play a guard oriented system.
Jalen Green been awful most of the season he might get traded next year he been too inconsistent despite the untapped talent he has. If he starts next year off horribly if he doesn’t get traded in the summer. Then Jalen Green will no longer have a future with the rockets.
Jabari has the potential to be a 20/10 guy if not he an elite role player. If he not traded I think he going to be a good 3 and D wing.
Amen is special especially on the defensive end if he gets a shot it’s over. But I’m cool with him being Ben Simmons.
Cam is a really good shooter the man can score everywhere and he knows when to cut and move around to get his shot. He just need to improve on the decision making.
Tari he been hurt but he the ultimate glue guy.
We have the pieces but we don’t have a main guy and the roster bad and the front office is huge question mark for us.
I say because of those reasons the Magic have a better core then us
Fucking trader
You know ball perfect analysis
As a magic fan I'll say green as superstar potential. But it's crazy to me that's he's been so inconsistent. Especially going into year 3. Where suggs who came out of the same draft is excepting who he needs to be as a player. I honestly think that rookie Thompson kid will probably end up as a main piece for Houston. He already passes, play better D, and rebounds better than green.
@@coreyjohnson5346 Trust me him being inconsistent like this has frustrated a lot of rockets fans this season. So far it looks like he turning the corner and is starting to fit in Ime system.
This summer is really important for him to get better. He can’t afford to have another bad first half of the season. If he inconsistent again next year, he defintely not going to have a future with us moving forward.
But yeah Amen has been great with his defense his athleticism has been off the charts on both ends. He definitely going to be on a all defensive team in the near future he going to be a nice player for a long time 👍🏾
The Magic have been impressive as hell. They had a murderous schedule and have also dealt with a ton of injuries. Now we are healthy and taking care of business while other teams must now deal with a tough schedule and injuries.
Yea paolo reminds me of a better Carmelo Anthony
Love to hear the Magic talk! We need to get some reliable shooting to space the floor for our big 2. Overall great takes on this segment imo! Thanks!
Thank you! Share with your Magic people. Twitter, reddit, etc. We love talking the whole league and not just chasing the big numbers. Magic have been one of my favorite watches all year (other than the stretch Franz was out!)
Finally they show us some love
The versatility of this Magic team is off the charts. The defensive versatility alone with Franz and Paolo with the addition of Jonathan Isaac, Suggs, and Wendell would shut down the best five of Boston. If they play Magic on the 2nd round of a playoff, Boston has a problem.
I been telling people that we are a sleeper and bad match up for a lot of teams we will mess around and make the finals since we know we can beat Boston and the bucks…it’s the damn heat we have a problem with for some reason smh
Thanks for recognizing what most Magic fans have known for a while!
We are so excited here in Orlando! It’s been 12 long years since we had a relevant team!
Alperen Sengun is the answer. He’s better than Jokic at age 21 and we have seen how that has turned out for Jokic so far.
Banchero is better than both of them at the same age
@@ericsipe8619 banchero is getting carried by Magic bench.
@@kujklokp I was wondering why he’s already won ROY and is an all star in only two years in the league. Thanks for clearing that up for me.
@@ericsipe8619 You're welcome.
Banchero ain’t getting much better than this current production..efficiency is where he can improve, but he ain’t gonna be a 1 or a 2 on a championship team.. still like him though
Suggs is already a great floor spacer. 39% on 5 attempts a game.
He’s constantly improving
21%
32%
39% now
Suggs has gone from being one of the worst offensive players in the entire league and a terrible shooter, to a very solid 3rd option and a dependable outside shooter.
That being said, he needs to do it again next season. If he can shoot at least 38% from 3 next season, then he truly can be what he was originally thought to be when he was 1st drafted...an All-Star caliber player, and the Magic will have a legit big 3. He certainly has the work ethic and determination to pull it off.
@@edwinramos4910 what's crazy is no one talks about his defending ability. Always makes the other teams best guard have to work ALL night.
@@bjmccray5182 That's astounding.
As a Rockets fan, I still have the image of Banchero & Stone eating dinner in Houston in my mind pre draft. Almost had Sengun & Banchero on the same team.
I'm happy we got Jabari. He's perfect fit.
Great Content Guys 💯 ❤
People talk as if the Magic aren’t as young as the rockets. The magic have just as much chance to grow with potential and are already currently looking like a playoff team. And the magic have been one of the best 3 point efficiency teams as of late. Wagner and banchero already have respectable percentages and have potential to grow as shooters.
Magical content!🙏🏾
Guy on the left tries to be unbiased which I appreciate, but his floor spacing comment on the Magic just makes no sense with all due respect. Paolo has shot the three ball better than Jabari this season lol. Jalen Suggs is a 40% 3 point shooter. Franz 3 has struggled a bit this season, but isn’t necessarily a worry as we’ve seen his shot be good, and he’s battled injuries and fatigue this season. Sengun and Thompson are worse 3 shooters than all 3 magic guys. And Jabari is the 3rd best out of the entire group, with the Magic having top 2 as of now… just not the right argument here. Anthony black and Jett Howard can’t exactly be ignored here, even though they aren’t top priority for this team this season since it’s full on trying to win. I respect thinking the rockets have more, but I think the rockets are praying they get 3 guys like the Magic got
thank you guys awesome podcast... Suggs soon will be superstar
I'm taking the Magic
So Jalen Suggs, guy averaging 39% from three on 5 attempts per game cant be a floor spacer, but Cam Whitmore can??? Ok buddy 😂
Amen can learn too shooting under 20% but AB can’t even though he’s shooting 40%
Suggs is trash
Cam is a 38% shooter. He's a marked man early. Suggs is 39% only this season. His career is 32%. Not a marked man yet but teams taking notice and when they do, that 39% would go down to his average. Or, maybe not. We'll see.
@@bigradwolf5001 he's already drawing hard close outs. Jalen is taking much more at 5 threes per game. Volume matters, and Jalen has a much quicker shot with flashes of deep range and consistency off the dribble
@@bigradwolf5001 he's also above 40% now
Şen. Günnn
Suggs is shooting almost 40% on 5 attempts per game lol, he's made significant improvements this year. I appreciate and enjoyed the Magic coverage nonetheless
Orlando Love bout time! #PLAYOURSONG I LIKE SENGUN tho rockets look promising.
Suggs shoot 39% from 3 lol. Banchero shoot 36% how much better do they need to be lol
W take Tim 👍
rockets fan here .. we got some promise but i think banchero is a star
I’d definitely take Sengun over anyone on the 2 teams… but I’d take the Magic top 2 for sure over any 2 Rockets.

Agree with Legs on Kidd.
He is in real trouble.
I hope Mavs fire him
Your Washington Wizards notes was basically two sentences about their losing record. Would have liked to hear more on why their roster construction is so bad and what they need to do to improve. Constructive notes for a young struggling rebuilding team would’ve been appreciated not just ridicule and a smirk while doing so.
Well they have two of the worst primary guys in the league in Kuzma and Poole, in one of the worst markets for pro basketball with a fan base that doesn’t care. Bad management (should’ve traded valuable guys like Beal three years earlier), etc.
@@MaximusR93 we all know this. Then don’t mention them at all. All he did was kept bringing up their losing record over and over like we get it. But the smirks are uncalled for. Be constructive instead of completely rude.
If you chose the Magic, you are correct.
yeah y'all need to watch the magic before talking on them again, Suggs is damn near 40% this year, and is over 40% on catch & shoot this year. casual takes from the dude on the left
Orlando players are fit to each other more, both teams need 2 good Point guards n a strong forward for The Rockets too.
Tyreese Maxey-Coby White (could be D.Garland )-Amen Thompson-Brandon Clarke-Sengun would be more promising n competetive..
I’m a magic fan about to see Kings Rockets so I don’t mind the comparisons
Whitmore is a beast
Sengun not getting the ball every time down the floor, like Jokic, is a Udoka problem, not a Sengun problem. Sengun does need to shore up his FTs and he is overcoming a back issue. His future is bright, I don't like the Jokic comparison, I prefer Divac 2.0. Whitmore is a beast, he is going to go supernova soon. I also love Amen, I call him the 'Swiss Army Man', he does it all on the floor. I've been trying to figure out who is more athletic, Cam or Amen. They are athletic in different ways.
how is this even a contest? the magic clear the rockets
These guys don't watch the magic play. it's so evident
I'm a rockets fan but right now it's Orlando because for 2 years we didn't have a coach
Magic have so much potential to improve the roster. Just hope they don’t hoard their players too long like Atlanta did. Could have got more value for Reddish, Huerter, and company but bc they were young and upcoming they held on to trade bait and now, Trae ready to go. If I’m Orlando, don’t let Paolo fall to the same fate as Young
Disagree with one thing, everybody always implies that Boston wants to play pretty basketball and Nuggets want to tough it out and that's the advantage that each of the teams have. That's not true, Nuggets are the best team in the league in pretty basketball and they are the best 3p shooting team, they just don't have the playstyle and mentality of never waiving consistency. BOS plays almost every game the same an the level is really high, but when Nuggets want to play pretty, they can play prettier than Boston! (with that said I jinxed them and they are gonna score like below 100, but I still believe what I wrote)
Is that a real question. Orlando is in 4th place. Houston needs a prayer.
Yes, because the Magic bench is much, much better than the Rockets bench. Banchero has a minus net rating on a 37-26 team, which is all you need to know about him.
In the East though. No offense.
Franz Wagner 🏀🔥🙌
❤❤❤❤❤❤
You guys are sleeping on Amen Thompson. Udoka has hinted that he thinks Amen is a better defender than Dillon Brookes. Amen is an amazing athlete - overall, better than Jalen Green! He's also smart. But he has NO shot and his handle is still la bit loose. He a great slasher and is thriving in the dunker's spot. I challenge you to start watching more Rockets games to see his sizeable impact. Everyone thinks he's a point guard - more like point forward. Rockets need more shooting but I think Amen is in a tie with Cam for potential - Cam is just flashier - - offense always wins over defense.
beating the teams you're supposed to beat, is not always the easiest feat
Seems as though the NBA likes to give their headline teams like Boston, Lakers, etc. a cream puff schedule early so that the record inflates to keep them relevant and that’s all the magic played early was teams like Denver and the clippers and the Celtics and the Timberwolves and they found a way to make it through it with a winning record so they flipped it on the NBA and now they are going to eat off the back end of the schedule where all of those top teams now have their back loaded heavy schedule
You underrating AB And Jett. Amen and whitmore are just more flashy players but AB is better than Amen. Amen shooting under 20% from 3 AB is already at 40%. WCJ is also only 24 should’ve included him with the young core
Amazing - these guys watch basketball all day - and completely whiffed on Jalen Green - and barely mentioned Amen Thompson...how?
Suggs is shooting nearly 40% on 3’s this year on high volume
As you pointed out “this year” there were too many cases player shooting extremely well when they are due for a contract and soon as they secure the bag they regress back to average. Hopefully this is his new norm
@@AkagiRedSun He’s improved pretty drastically each year

Suggs is shooting 40% from 3 this season which is better than anyone from the Rockets. At least check some basic stats before you make a comments like that.
Anybody can put up points in a bad team, which is what Rockets players are doing. Paolo / Franz / Suggs are only 21 and 22 years old and they are leading this Magic team to maybe 50 wins this year already.
Sengun will be a superstar in this league, Houston has more talented and dimensional core in Sengun, Amen, Cam and Jabari.. FO just needs to decide what to do and how to build...
jalen suggs is the best shooter out of both young cores lol. and it was “obvious” that bari was a good shooter but he shoots league average, and then tari was ruled out as a shooter but he shoots better than everyone not named suggs lol.
Suggs is 39% from 3 this year. On 5 attempts in 26 minutes a game. Safe to say he is on his way to being a great shooter. He injured both his wrists his first two seasons. Reason why he was so bad.
The Magic did swept the defending champs Denver Nuggets
Leg's was on point here.. Everything he brought up about the Magic shows he's more than just a follower when it comes to NBA analysis...
He actually watches games and breaks down the team, strategies and players better than most...
Keep watchin' out for the Magic's rise..!✊🏾💙🤍
Thank you Tim Leggler for actually watching the games. The other guy you can hear it was talking out of his ass. We had the top 5 hardest schedules before the all star break. This guy is annoyingly talking down on us very ignorantly.
Good conversation but bro on the right is really sleeping on Amen Thompson. Best defender on either team and I'd argue highest IQ and he's just a rookie
Suggs will most likely be all defensive 1st team this yr. And if issac played enough games he would be too. Not taking anything from amen, but to claim he's already better than a suggs or a johnathan issac on defense is crazy. And to suggest Amen has a higher IQ than paolo the current rookie of the year who is 1 of 4 players to ever average what he's averaging as a second year player with the likes of Jordan, lebron and luka only, clearly shows you don't know what you're talking about. Paolo have averaged OVER 20 since he first stepped into the NBA. he's putting up numbers only a few have managed to put up at his age. If amen was better in anyway than paolo he surely would be doing the exact same or better. But he's not. Amen has a proven all star and champion on his team in van fleet, vs the magic being the third youngest team in the NBA but is already better than Houston. If amen was all that as you claim they should be better than the magic. And btw, I like the kid, I think he has game. But he's nowhere near the credit you're giving him. Atleast let him prove it first before crowning him with nothing to back it up with but pure speculation and personal opinions.
You are not familiar with amen. He has the best defense on either team. can guard 1-4 and sometimes 5. he was injured the first part of the season. and we had players ahead of him it was no rush to play him that much just develop. But now that Sengun is down his minutes have been up and he's balling. Yes he has the best defense and iq. It's obvious if you watched any amount of him. Just needs to tighten up his handles and improve his shot. You say the Magic are the 3rd youngest team but the Rockets have the most points scored by players 21 and younger. we have players like Boban and Jeff and FVV who increase our avg age but our core 6 is 22 and younger. Amens defensive numbers are elite too since you want to talk about numbers. Rockets will win a championship before the Magic easily. @@coreyjohnson5346
U guys try to do as little Pelicans content as possible 😂... 5th in the west not talking about it won't change that
Gosh don’t base your opinion on Jalen Green. He is our worse prospect. Sengun, Tari, Cam Amen, and Jabari. Will have 2-3 stars
All it takes is a look at the depth of young talent to know the rockets have the better future. For Orlando it’s Paolo, Franz, Isaac, maybe Suggs and Cole. The rockets have the better young core: Sengun, Green (less so I realize), Jabari Smith Jr, Amen Thompson, Tari Eason, and Cam Whitmore. Rockets have the better long term coach and they own Brooklyn’s entire future. Tbh I don’t even see how this is even an argument.
Forgot Wendell. He’s cool too but I still think Houston has better pieces overall. Paulo is a beast tho.
Delusional. Where’s AB and Jett?? AB is better than Amen. 40% on 3 already for a player deemed that can’t shoot. Paolo and franz clears everyone on your team too
@@YourWorstNightmare3333 brother… saying AB is better than amen isn’t delusional? I’m a big AB guy but there’s more to the game than just shooting. Amen beats AB in every statistical measure besides 3pt shooting on only 1 more minute of action. Amen’s a near all-defensive level defender, a better driver, more athletic, and a better playmaker. Jett has potential but as of right now 1.8 pts on subpar efficiency speaks for itself…. Whitmore averages 12.2 points which is more than AB who plays more minutes. Saying Franz and Paolo clears everyone on our team just isn’t true. Paolo is the best player out of both teams but there is a noticeable drop off in young talent after him and Franz. The rockets are just deeper in versatility and potential.
Jabari smith is trash.. he’s a bust… n the hate on JG is crazy…

Magic>Rockets. 1) Magic have more upside and potential to break through the East. Rockets will be lucky to get a playin in the stacked western conference.
2) Rockets have money tied up in Brooks and Van Fleet and will have to make decisions when re-signing their your core. Magic have good contracts and financial flexibility.
3) Magic have 2 All star caliber players and Rockets have 1.
Orlando doesn’t have a higher upside explain to me how
Orlando this season but Houston next year. Amen and Cam are two of the most underrated rookies due to their limited playing time early in the season. These two can become all-NBA, Amen has the potential to be a top 5 defender while Cam can grow into a significant scorer. He’s already average 12 pts in 17 mins.

Rockets
Rockets playing teams in the East and they're also a play-off team. Make the Magic play against Silver's California darlings 12x a year and see how they do.
Rockets clear the Magic with ease. Keep in mind that the Rockets play in the tougher conference and they were a playoff team before injuries to Brooks, Van Vleet, and Eason. Rockets play better defense, more guys who can create, and higher ceiling. Plus there's six of them. Banchero and Wagner are somewhat redundant
😂
Magic are a top 5 defensive team and when those two guys are 6’10 and can do everything offensively and defensively, there’s nothing wrong with redundancy.
Magic had a better defense the whole season than your ASS team. Team full of busts too. Respect the 4th seed especially when you a lottery team again 😂 4 straight years and counting
You spent money in free agency only to give thunder another lottery pick
@kosongdua9087 it's top four protected and its more than likely not going to be a lottery pick.
Respect to Magic, lots of starts there but Rockets has 3 superstar-making: Sengun-Amen-Tari Eason.
Long term Magic can't compete with Rockets. Hope they meet at the finals.
Tari gonna be a great role player. The rockets core is sengun jabari and amen
@@kosongdua9087 Rockets core is only Sengun so far. Everyone else is just fillers so far.
The Magic are the better team now but I think the rockets have a higher ceiling with the talent they have.
I feel like Houston has hidden gem with Cam Whitmore. I can see him being an all star within 3 seasons
ORLANDO and if sengun is the next jokic than paolo is the next Bron now how’s the better player all time Lebron or jokic there’s your answer.
Banchero is getting carried by veterans on the Magic bench. Stop acting like he's something special. Sengun is miles better than him, and I think everyone knows that.
@@kujklokp getting carried is crazy we have 2 vets ingles nd Harris ,rockets have 6 vets FVV brooks adams, oladipo,Jeff green and Reggie bullock spend all that money just to be in lottery 🫵🤡
@@johnnyMT24 2 vets? LMFAOOOOOO. Keep living in denial bud
Paolo is overrated. Guy is so inefficient.
Since when is 46% from 2 and 36% from 3 inefficient for a high usage 2nd year player?
@@edwinramos4910 Stop crying. He has minus net rating on a 37-26 team. He's getting carried hard by vets on Magic bench.
@@kujklokp Who's crying? All I did was ask a question, but you responded like a little boy. Grow up.
Sengun is miles better than Banchero and Wagner, and every traditional and advanced metrics out there confirms that.
delusional
@@jordanjaypower5024 yeah, you are.
Orlando is just a place for kids to go with their parents to see a bunch of goofy animals. Houston is the winner
