Beautiful documentary. 🐺 I love and respect wolves 💙. They need our protection, but they also need to be left alone without humans. They need their own habitat with wild prey. Those pups are adorable. Wolves have a hard enough time just surviving and finding food. I 🐺 pray they will still be around, long after we are gone. ❤ Thank you 💛

The White Wolf (Canis albus) is a large dog found in the Arctic, it is the second largest living dog species in the world, only the Grey Wolf (Canis lupus) is larger, there are eight recognized subspecies of white wolf: the Tundra Wolf (Canis albus albus), the Barren-Ground Wolf (Canis albus tundrarum), the Hudson Bay Wolf (Canis albus hudsonicus), the Mackenzie River Wolf (Canis albus mackenzii), the †Banks Island Wolf (Canis albus bernardi), the Queen Elizabeth Islands Wolf (Canis albus arctos), the Baffin Island Wolf (Canis albus manningi), and the Greenland Wolf (Canis albus orion).

Why they do Black Spot like that!
They are probably my second favourite Animals after Snow Leopards that also live in the Harsh Cold Conditions trying to survive through winter. It's when Spring Comes and with Artic Wolves they know the Bison or Musk Ox Calves will be born then they will try everything to Break the Adults Ring of Defence to Get to the Young. Once they get them on the move they can start breaking the Herd Up and either start looking for the weak or getting to a calf seperated with the Mother as it cannot keep up. It's a Battle for Wolves in fact it's a Battle for all Wildlife trying to Survive and being in a Pack definatly give them a Better Chance of Survival.
Non-salivating, so probably not rabies...but what would possess a lone wolf to suicidally attack an entire pack? Sounds like disease or some virus to me. You see those wolves didn't want to be bitten, nor were they trying to dispatch her for her kamikaze behavior. Very strange...and spooky.
Notice how black spot was showing signs of neurological problems and salivating and died in the den. She was the one who shielded the pups. Must have got bitten by the Kamikaze wolf. Looks a lot like rabies to me.😢
Yes, I did see that and it seems it possibly was rabies, in the paralytic form. The wolves didn't want to be bitten, they seemed to know something was very wrong with the lone wolf. Poor black spot but notice how the narrator didn't even suggest and even implied it was from simply starving. I agree. It looked more like rabies to me. But contracted from where way up in Canada and from what did that wolf get infected from?@@miss.djdapperdonakaapril6795
black spot could've been accepted because she was also a mommy wolf, but with no pups, so she wouldn't in any way kill the offspring of snow white. maybe that's also why she was the only one alowed in the den with the pups since she was also nursing the pups. plus, since one of the pups had a black spot on its tail as well, black spot herself might be part of snow white's family and the black spot made its way to the pups through genes
Well done, pleasant narrators voice, but the music is killer for me. Mostly too loud and with a lot of high notes. Extremely annoying.

Wolves play a very important part of the ecosystems these are very intelligent and beautiful animals humans must stop interfering and killing them ! Let the Wolves be free ! their land and natural habitats are being destroyed by the human race. We must do more to protect all wolves.
The strange attacking rival wolf most likely had rabies. Don't have to be salivating to have rabies. That's probably why the other wolf died afterwards. Or some virus.

She was most likely sick, the wolf that raided the den looked sick with something, possibly rabies? Black spot was the one who got attacked most and probably got bitten, which caused the sickness to infect her. The pack most likely sensed the illness, therefore stopped feeding her so she'd die off before the sickness infected them all.
