At 74, due to low vision, I no longer can drive. So thank you very much, for this opportunity to see and experience the wild yellow stone park.
the older you get the more you appreciate nature and all its wonders.
Exactly, I’m proud I’m older and can look around at nature, love it and be thankful 🙏
right😄
That's right!
Black Tail being accepted by the pack was like winning the lottery. He went from barely making it, to a member of the strongest pack in the park.
Blacktail finding a home was good to see and the Quad mom cubs making it to spring. I think this is the first time I have heard Bill Pullman narrate a documentary, his voice seems to be fitting for covering nature & Yellowstone Park.
grdhdrttj
I agree, I love his voice!
Didn't you cry?
So I'm from Idaho Washington state ect ..Yellowstone is beautiful and all of the amazing beautiful land most untouched by humans is spectacular to see it's worth the drive
must’ve ain’t peep the wolf wit a ankle monitor on his neck 😅
Yes, before it's ruined or gone!!
Coyotes hit that wolf with that uno reverse card 🤣
Very nice documentary. Enjoyed Bill's narration. Quadmom getting old. She's been a great asset to Yellowstone! Wonderful eclipse footage! Many amazing tidbits packed throughout. Thank you!
Predators an essential part of any ecosystem!
True... BUT they - like every other animal - need to be regulated by man to keep their numbers from getting out of hand. Hunting takes care to remove the surplus without letting them create havoc with prey animals. An example is the wolf population in Minnesota. Every scientific study as well as experts in wolf studies determined that there could be UP TO 1700 wolves in any peak year. We now have 2700 (conservatively estimated) and the deer herds in NW Minnesota are nearly wiped out.
@@CW1116 Nature regulates; not man Bud!
@@kenbarthSimAV8tor and man is a part of nature, no?
@@Soap_Bar Yes; but not one's with AR15s!
Incredible reality, salute Mr. Pullman. Stepping out from hollywood to a noble venture. Thank vou all for this glimpse into the animal kingdom .....true majesty.
I just want poor black tail to get some food 😩
He is one of them now😍😭
Thank you Canada 🇨🇦 for the assistance and supply of predators that have restored the balance to this delicate environment ❤️
Blacktail found his family, tears of joy!!!
Blacktail took me on one heck of an emotional journey
Thank God we finally have the sense to reintroduce the Grizzly and the Great North American gray wolves. I had the great opportunity of seeing a grizzly in out 1974 trip to the national parks. The grizzly I saw was in Glacier National Park across the lake at Many Glacier hotel
GREAT DOCUMENTARY! I live in Kentucky ,Yellowstone is on my short bucket list. So beautiful, dangerous, and wild! Hopefully in my lifetime, I will see it!
You NEED to go. Yellowstone is magnificent. You should go in summer and also winter. Make sure you give yourself enough time to see different parts of it… it’s not a 1-2 day trip, you know?
You’ll love it 🏔️
Had 3 coyotes trapped me in a tree for 7 hours. They are not afraid in numbers.
I could not take my eyes off of the screen, watching this iconic and classic struggle among the wild predators of Yellowstone National Park vs those calm and majestic animals that make up their prey. This series is simply wonderful to watch and I fell in love all over again with some of my own favorite wild beasts, as I followed along watching Bill Pullman lead me on a historic and magical journey through one of the great wonders of the world and one of our greatest American national treasures. Absolutely a FIVE STARS+***** review from me! ~ JDeF.39 💙
Black Tail sure had persistence. He had already been attacked earlier by the very same pack that accepted him into one of their own. What a turn of events for the better.
Very excellent film and narration was above par. I hope Bill now does more like this and I'm able to find them.
The 1st pack that attacked him was the Mollys pack the 2nd pack that excepted him was the Woppotti pack. 😉🫶
This was fantastic!
My dream is to explain Montana and Yellowstone. This video brought back that passion
I watched the video with the family👍
I live on the edge of the city of Birmingham here in the UK but I am so fascinated by the great Yellowstone Park and devour any documentary's that i come across . So thanks for the upload...
Sensational footage and story telling. 10/10 to the producers
Except the fact they said bears hibernate.
A good producer would do research first!¡!
Great documentary!!!! ❤️so glad for this upload !!!!! And Bill Pullman is one of the best narrators !!!!!!!!!
I live in Wales UK absolutely loved this video .best documentary on yellowstone
Remarkable footage allowing us to fully immerse ourselves in the everyday life of these particular characters of this excellent documentary.
Only 9 out of 10 - no film of bears catching salmon
I love this Documentary
Wow this was great!!!!! Thanks for a great watch 😊
So amazing, awesome, & even engrossing beyond words that who could resist not to watch it again & again. I can't help but keep coming back to this singular wildlife doc. of outstanding proportions. All the people engaged in the production, they all certainly deserve a big pat on the back for a job well done. In particular, those cameramen who had spent day & night w/ an infinite patience so as to procure those brilliant momentous footages in the face of some adverse conditions deserve special praise & kudos. I wonder if anyone else feels the same,,,,Many thanks to all of them concerned,,,(08/08/23)
Same here, keep watching this. Masochist as I am I think it's healthy to have a good cry 😢 💔👍
Yes, I can't agree more! You have a fabulous rest of Sunday wherever you are, & take care,,,,,(11/05/23)@@lonewolf_101
Wonderful nature, landscape, animals, movie... Thx
My dream is to explore Montana and Yellowstone. This video brought back that passion
It’s on my to do list it’s so beautiful and the wildlife is unreal ❤️🇬🇧❤️
better go well armed nowadays. they aren't just preying on animals but humans as well.
My dream is to explain Montana and Yellowstone. This video brought back that passion
I've done both! It's an excellent choice!
Why would u want that? Bears could eat you.
One of the best documentaries of the year.
4K! thanks for 4K times! thank you with all my heart! grizzlies, wolves, mighty mison and all yellowstone!!
What a beautiful video..beautifully told!,well done Bill!,u tell a great story🌹🌹🌹🌹🙏🏿🙏🏿❤❤❤❤❤
And the wolves from Yellowstone have expanded beyond the park boundaries as far south as Northern Colorado 😊😊
I really enjoyed this film the world is in a very sensitive balance we must be so careful not to unbalance what nature puts there
we are part of nature. we must survive.
I can't help coveting Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming & Montana for its ineffable magnificent, majestic, stunning, & Sublime natural picturesque landscape beauty mingled w/ those wild animals that is accompanied w/ 4 SEASONS; in particular, that unutterable brilliant, & unmissable beauty in winter seems to defy description or simply beyond words: truly rare almost otherworldly incomparable one unlike any other parks on earth. ( those in Africa are also beautiful but not equipped w/ 4 seasons ). So Americans are certainly blessed to possess such an unspeakably beautiful land. Good for you!,,,I wish to visit once in my lifetime.,,,,(02/10/24)
The wild kingdom is glorious even in its most extreme environments. Hope there'll be bright days ahead for the animals. Who knows, it may even outlast human civilization.
they definitely will ...
to it every year.
humans are ruining the waters, and wrecking the earth. digging and overfishing is just one bad thing, the other is pollution, there is nine metric tons dumped in the oceans every year. one dump truck every minute of every day, dumping plastics and medical waste. diapers, and building materials...
especially when certain sociopathic idiots want that to happen.
You are dreaming --republicans in the congress want to open up every piece of land and park for corporate America. Things have changed my friend. Good days are behind us. Only religion matters. Fake religion that is.
Wondering, who had the job of counting how many moths the bears ate?
Adda boy black tail!🐺
" ... last open ranges in North America..."
Alaska now has several hurds numbering half a million caribou. And growing.
Thank you so much for letting me experience these encounters within the ecosystem so intimately.
The huntman spider that got the rookie assassin bug was so gorgeous, that orange abdomen- wow!
The cold-hearted, ignorant, and thoughtless indiscriminate killing of predators always perplexed and disturbed me, and it still does.
Get your facts straight, why do you think they were killed off?
I totally agree. Predators are and have always been part of the balance of nature. I think they were hunted ruthlessly more from fear & ignorance than anything.
The Mt Lion is another predator that was widely distributed over most of America, before being hunted to extinction in the east except for a few Fl panthers & left in only a few places in the west, the black hills in S.D., California, Montana, Wyoming etc. However there are more and more sightings in the Midwest that gives me hope that they may reclaim some of their former range.
Animals have always been part of the landscape, after what we humans have done to them, the least we can do is coexist. The world is a far better place with animals in it, all of them.
@@Aerosith For sport, duh. Every poacher deserves to perish.
Lol ,it's nature 🤦 you act like they people with they murderous ways 🤣
@@Aerosith for fun
Fantastic documentary. Kudos to all involved.
That's great that they brought back the predators but they're still missing the native peoples, they should be living on that land
Is your goal for native people to live off the land being limited to technologies that existed before Europeans arrived?
@@BestUsernameForMe I have no idea what you're talking about
The people who once lived there, are LOOONG gone now.. Sure, could make it into a reservation 🤷 ruin the land, build houses & push out all the animals that everyone (especially natives) fought to keep and reintroduce... OR, the "natives" around now, can live in normal towns with the rest of the world..
They shouldnt have lost wars.
Humans, native or alien, are an infestation that destroys and consumes all of nature only to grow in number, to destroy and consume more. This documentary is proof. That Yellowstone was made, that this documentary was made, that humans are prevented from living in Yellowstone is proof. Yellowstone is a postage stamp property in the vast human property surrounding it, established to give humans a last vestige of what the earth used to be like ENTERTAINMENT.
One of the best Yellowstone documentaries
so happy for black tail.majestic wolf! very handsome
I have profound admiration for the photographers that were able to video to capture these animals in their natural environment under often horrific weather conditions. Extremely well done video that gives us insight into how the natural world survives. We have to thank Teddy Roosevelt for Yellowstone and Bill Pullman for his excellent presentation about life for the animals that call Yellowstone home.
very well done doc, love everything and anything on yellowstone.
I'm so happy for that wolf he found family and friends
Wolfeeee
I cried 😭💟
My life is just like that wolf at the moment, I fell out of my life because my ex-wife had an affair with my brother.
and she snatched my kids away,
I'm depressed, lonely, tired... no Thanksgiving, no Christmas, most likely no New Year's...
@@sasanvideoprod.6548 Sorry to hear that I pray for you. but my observation is that everyone in this world builds his own world. As long as its intact you survive and once its shattered... Its the end of your future..... That is the nature's design that he has put in place, weather you are a wolf or a human.
What a documentary.. Wow.. God bless the narrator... I wonder what we uneducated will do..... With you....
I still think that they don't give the Yellowstone fire in the late 80s enough credit for the renewal of the landscape.
wolf pack is just badass
Ok???😁
Love Bill great job narrating, great video!
Very well done, amazing job to all involved thank you!
Very well done. Pullman does a great job. The photography was excellent.

Absolutely incredible piece here great camera work and great narration
Great show.
stunning job, well done
This nature doc.simply shows us to witness & discern not only how intriguing & mysterious the ecosystem in the nature is, but also it unfolds us to perceive how it enigmatically works & keeps the system in balance.,,,It is so captivating, fascinating, & even spellbinding that I can't help doffing my hat to all the crew members concerned in the production of this singular doc.(After all, they had spent well over 1 yr. in the wilderness.), esp., those cameramen, sound men including that efficacious background music, excellent editors, & finally the sophisticated producers inclusive of an incisive script writer & a convincing narrator. " Truly Educational & Informative!! " Moreover, the fact we could enjoy watching & appreciate it on UA-cam for free is infinitely priceless & invaluable.,,,Grateful & gratified to the core.,,,,,(12/23/22)
Great documentary
The only problem with this video was its length, or lack thereof. Great stuff Smithsonian TY!!
This is my second or third time watching the movie. An excellent film!
outstanding guys!!!! simply fantastic...
Mr. Pullman, that was wonderful, and nice coat.
Awesome content great footage great delivery
Never heard of a Mountain Lion "Kitten" before...
the narrator is born to host anything wild. I would argue to a fist fight proving this is the best narrator for these doc. his voice is perfect. holds 100 percent of my attention. awesome job. 🙏
that was fantastic
What a amazing documentary..👌
Amazing..
I never knew how persistent bears were following to mate! Loved the video
I was worried by the Blacktale during the film, because it all time alone! I'm glad it joined the Wolves gang.
You go blacktail !!! 🎉
This made me so happy i love yellowstone
The winter of 1995 was a very important time for Yellowstone National Park and the right decision to make
Great vid:) i love it;)
“Scientists had yet to discover that ecosystems couldn’t thrive WITHOUT BOTH PREY AND PREDATOR BEING IN BALANCE”. An Extremely Important Point, and one you’d think Academic Ecologists would’ve figured out before the 1970s. And something that you cant just Snap Your Fingers or even PASS A LAW and expect it to right itself. Some Wrongs take Decades or even Centuries to Correct. Others can be fixed more easily. This is why identifying the KEYSTONE SPECIES within a habitat is So Important to the establishment of a successful Habitat Protection Plan. And needless to say (I hope; assuming you’ve Learned SOMETHING from watching this)
@@furerorban9324 I think you mean explore instead of explain, but I understand English may not be your first language or it's simply autocorrect changing your words. I hope your dream comes true. I've always wanted to see Yellowstone myself and explore Montana. I'm told Glacier Lake national park in Montana is a worthy place to explore. Good luck !
Good thinking if you live in the city
Excellent.
so interesting video to watch and thank you
I love bill Pullman ❤ he needs to be in more documentary’s.
