This is the 2022 Lexus LC500 and in my opinion, is one of the best-looking cars on the road today. It’s also one of my all-time favorite cars due to what’s under the hood, more on that later since I’m going to review this car today and we’ll discover what’s new for 2022 that makes this car the ultimate Grand Tourer of all time.

The Lexus LC500 is a rolling piece of art, I mean look at it, nobody else in this price bracket makes a car that looks like this even for twice the price. The LC debuted in 2016 and it shares a platform with the LS sedan but it’s far better looking. Some of the design elements are simply breathtaking, this car is strikingly beautiful.
The beating heart of this car is Lexus's high-performance naturally aspirated 5.0-liter V-8, which puts out 471 horsepower and 398 pound-feet of torque and is paired only with a quick-shifting- 10-speed automatic transmission.
Natural aspiration especially for V8 engines is rapidly dying out and only a selection of cars are for sale in 2022. These include the Chevrolet Corvette, Ford Mustang GT, Genesis G90, Dodge Challenger/Charger, Lexus RC F, Chevrolet Camaro, Lexus IS 500, and Chrysler 300. - Авто та транспорт

FYI in the rear seat test, the seat would not hurt you. It automatically stops if it detects resistance.
Specially Lexus won't like his dirty shoes over the Alcantara 😅😢
I’ve owned mine since 2018 and daily drive it. Not one single issue, repair problem, I’ve lowered, added wheels, full exhaust, sounds insane, and still gets 29mpg average on the highway and over 500hp as it stands and looks like a concept car even with a design 11yrs old (LF-LC Concept). I’m in love with it still! 🫶🏾
I've seen that some reviewers got 6 MPG in the city after aggressive driving. OUCH!
@@davepaturno4290 anyone with a V8 can reset the meter and goose it for a short burst to throw single digit MPG- literally anyone.
@@sly9263 Savage Goose channel's Mark has said that he averages about 16-18 MPG vs. The LC500h's average of 28 MPG. That's a huge difference, considering the LC500h is only slightly slower.
Just got one in nightfall mics. OBSESSED
This car is absolutely gorgeous one of my all time favorite cars too
I can only imagine if you really "knew" all about this car how much you'd love it. You simply stepped in and drove it without LEARNING all about it. Anybody can do that. The best part of owning one of these is understanding all about it and exactly what it can do, once you SETUP the car to your own preferences. I've had mine almost four years and there is no comparison between the LC and anything made anywhere else. The car exudes quality and will give the owner years of reliable service and enjoyment without spending half the time in the repair shop changing out cheap plastic relays and modules like those German money pits are famous for. This is state of the art design and manufacturing, and Lexus did it is without compromise.
EXACTLY!!! I’ve owned mine since 2018 and daily drive it. Agree
Wireless car play and a touch screen nav system would make it perfect. I’m driving a 2020 this week. I love it. But it’s irritating to have to wait till I’m pulled over to fiddle with the touchpad for things like seat cooling.
@@EP-yc2gu VOICE COMMAND works great so you seldom need the touchpad for anything. CLIMATE CONCIERGE will make the car comfortable for 95% of your driving. Reading and learning about what the car can do is essential if you want to really appreciate the thought that went into this machine. There isn't another car on the market that comes close and that's why you see so many "expensive" cars for sale after a year or two of ownership. They are all garbage.
@@fontking1a I tried the climate concierge. It still requires you to interact with the infotainment manually. You might save one step. This is unnecessary, and unsafe. Particularly given the fact that Toyota has touch screens in many of their newer, much cheaper models.
Inside the cabin, my IS 500 sounds just as glorious. I slightly wish the exhaust sounded like the LC because of your final shot. You were around the corner and yet the car was still audible, but not obnoxious. Lexus' N/A V8 is freaking amazing and I do not care what EV marketers say, sound still sells! 😀 Awesome review, your love for this car came through loud and clear.
It's so crazy to even fathom seeing comments like these talking about someone's $80,000+ car as if it's just another small toy. What do ya'll do for a living to afford these nice things??
@@allantruong7031 some of us can dream too though right? I don’t have the greatest job or anything but I got my eye on these beauties.
While the LC might cost around $100K, “Lexus Certified” used ones can go for $75k, and salvage ones for way cheaper. Depreciation of the LC is huge so just dream big man
@@DungeonMetal Thank you for the words of encouragement, friend!
@@allantruong7031 Not sure about anyone else, but doing whatever job your have and doing it the best you can is some great advice. If your job is to clean garbage cans, be the best friggin' garbage can cleaner there is. Try to excel at everything you do and think of ways to improve what you do. The big secret is "attitude". Have the right attitude and do everything the best you can do it. There's no guarantee you'll succeed but if you don't do this, there is a guarantee you won't.
@@fontking1a I love it, thanks!
I think it’s the greatest GT ever. Well that’s according to my preference. Thank you.
Most unbiased car video I have seen this year, well done lol.
Thank you for this. I really enjoyed it. I really like that interior.
Gorgeous!!! Timeless design...Still waiting foe mine!
Great review.
Love this car. I have seen very few (online) with that spoiler and prefer the look without it. This car is a modern classic.
I love my LC; infrared with performance package, out of all of the cars I've own(ed), this is probably one of my favorites.
it's one of the few aspirational cars left.
Amen to Naturally Aspirated. Whoever creates a car company that produces only naturally aspirated engines, will be more successful than any electric vehicle.
This car is an engineering masterpiece. It even has a CD player.
The only issue with the bespoke builds is that you can't get the dynamic handling package with active rear steering. If you've driven both, it's a must have for any spirited driving enthusiast.
Couldn't agree more. The rear wheel steering turns a big car into a go kart
Yup. The 4ws and rear diff helps delete that weight when cornering. Makes a difference
that's absurd.
Depends where you are coz where I live the package is Available with the bespoke option
@@esthetics4512 where do you live?
Love the wing, hope I can order that when I get mine. Not into the Halloween interior tho…
I took delivery of my 22 LC IF/TC DHP omg I looooove it. I took this over the 911, m5, comp, e63 and I have no regrets. Don’t be fooled the car is fking fast if you can drive.
Who’s cross shopping 911’s and E63’s
It’s like looking at the supermodel in a dive bar who you know will clean out your wallet and steal your phone while you sleep. Like a Cardi B of the car world.
13:25 Really? For parking on inclines. You don't want to rely on the transmission to hold the car stationary.
Would I be correct in saying that you're either an Aussie who has moved to the US OR an American who has spent a lot of time in Australia? Nice review, thanks for sharing.
I'd buy three of these.
Adults read the instruction book known as "THE OWNER'S MANUAL". Adults learn VOICE COMMAND. Adults almost never use the trackpad. Some adults have used it less than ten times in five years.
This model has a very particular detail about the Front Orange Cornering Light on the rim of the bumper, where the front wheels are - I looked at the Lexus website and none of the LC models have that little extra, which I think adds to the design. Have you noticed that?
Awesome review, you sound like an american + Australian.. where r u from?
Great colour
I am no one to tell you what you should do but i think it will be nice if you take clips of the section you are describing and edit them into your narration, rather than showing one long clip of you speaking. Example : at 1:55, you speaking about the spoiler but the shot stays still. It will help the viewers if you take a clips of close up and edit it into it. Just a feedback! Thanks for the great review of the Lexus!
What’s the thumping noise?
I always got time for a Lexus.
Could you try again in Manual mode?
Was this the performance pack with the diff, variable steering, and the 4 wheel steering? In my country, that only comes with the 21 inch wheels on Michelins.
no. can't get that in bespoke config (stupid).
The seat has a safe function. You don't need to jump away. It will stop when it sense it touches you.
That colour is perfect, so 90s toyota mr2 mk2.
The orange steering wheel looks cheesey in both senses of the word lol
my ATF car too but I'm not a fan of that build out. I prefer the tan leather option and don't like that rear wing either.
I would build it same color exterior and interior except the type of wheels, I would prefer the black ones 5 spoke with the blacked out package on the exterior💯🔥
If you lived in the Bay Area, you wouldn't dream of the 21" wheels. You'd hit a pot hole within ten minutes and one or two wheels would be toast. If you're lucky enough to live where the State keeps the roads in great condition, that would be another story. Around here, you're just asking for trouble. California roads are horrible for low profile tires.
Buy a mini van if you need room 😂 those seats are for bags when you go shopping ?
How tall are you ? You have the drivers seat far forward .
Only 5 feet 7
Golf clubs fit or I wouldn't have purchased one!!
Why they even bother putting seats in the back is beyond me. If you want to fit four people buy a sedan. Otherwise just leave the spot for space like they did on the old Corvettes. Gorgeous car though no doubt and you will zero issues with it either being a Lexus (Toyota)
4seats to Help with insurance
@@princekittipon6510 exactly 2+2 they call it.
Yes this is driveway jewelry 🏖️
I reckon Toyota quietly released the new Supra under the LC500 badge.
It's the 5th gen Toyota Soarer, it even still carries the same Z designation in the chassis code
First review where manual never used? Very strange why you would drive enthusiastically in auto? Make it make sense
Where is the host from? His accent sounds like a mash-up of English and southern US. 🤷🏻♂️
I would have to say that the Lotus Emira, which costs about the same is also a gorgeous car for the money.
that thing with the seat reminds me that the people that are so gluttonous and lazy they needed seats to moved on its own
Can be a little hard to buy this car used mainly bc you know everyone has rev bounced that limiter or abused it. He just kneed the shit out of that backseat which probably permanently stretched the fibers in the fabric.
I’m not sure if you’ve ever had a romantic encounter in a vehicle but I can assure that will be the least of the interiors damage
Awesome car, but why is the depreciation factor ffor the LC500 over 50% for 5 years? Similar but obviously not as appointed as the LC500 is the Chevrolet C8 Corvette depreciation factor is only 16%.I would consider a LC 500 but the depreciation for this Lexus is extremely high considering the Lexus total vehicle line up has a depreciation factor of 22-28% over 5 years.Love this LC 500 car!
There is no credible data to substantiate the C8 depreciation. The production has been so constrained. If they could have built them as fast as the C7’s then they’d be around 50% as well. Pre - Covid my car was exactly 50% MSRP after 3 years and 20k miles. It’s come up a bit but will only be temporary
Where do you get 50%+? Shopping for these I rarely see one less than 70k yet they cost 100+ even in 2018 so…
@@jumpman83 - listed for sale at 70k does not mean anyone will pay that much for them, hence why they’re still listed for sale as we approach end of summer soon. Right now I’ll sell mine for $115k which was msrp in 2016. Realistically it’s worth $57k, at least it was in 2020. Just like housing, people are paying stupid money for a house that’s not worth it. Like back in 2008 there will be problems.
How about making it faster. This car needs to do 0-60 in under 4, not 4.5. Step up Lexus.
Car is 4400+lbs. Just get a RCF by that point.
It would be quicker 0-60 if you could get traction, you cant and that costs you a second, but who cares it’s a beautiful motor.
It’s a front wheel drive Camry not a all wheel drive 😂😂😂
And yet another stupid comment by someone who has no idea what they are talking about.
Maybe you should drive the hybrid before you declare it isn't fun! It's different, but you know, for the same reason that you would buy the LC500 rather than one of the faster German makes (there are more important things than speed and loudness... there is class, comfort, good ergonomics, reliability... for these reasons I would never touch a Merc or BMW....and I HAVE driven them!) So as I said, the LC hybrid is fun for different reasons.. its much more like flying a spaceship, which is more in keeping with the looks of the car... the way you can silently glide around in EV mode, the combined sound of the electric and petrol engines when you accelerate is more Sci fi. On the move acceleration is actually better because the torque from the electric motors is instant, not "almost" instant. In any case, for you to declare that the hybrid isn't fun, without even trying it, shows what a bigot you are, and a very poor car reviewer.
Chill peter no one is perfect dont be rude to another human being
@@princekittipon6510 he supposedly reviews cars, I'm reviewing his review... it was biased and ill informed... he passed judgement on a car he hadn't driven. By all means tell us about the LC500 but don't tell us about the LC500h of which he has no experience. I HAVE experience of the LC500h and was defending what a great car it is, and in many aspects, superior (!) to the N/A version.
😀😃😄😁😆😍🤩😁😁😁
As much as I like the interior color not so much the exterior color and especially the weird ass/ over priced wing !!
LOL you'd be missing a lot of Engine and Tech of Today and Yesterday. I'd be into a BMW M8 for all that plus more... of Both Engine and Tech+
Your BMW mechanic thanks you for paying his mortgage.
That wing is horrendous!
A 110k Mustang with a bad infotainment system. Yay. But…the exhaust sound…yawn.
Mustangs are also built by master engineers with interiors hand stitched by Takumi Artisans? LC500 has better build quality and materials than Aston Martin and you think mustang is in the same league? Fml
I cannot pinpoint your accent, and it's kinda driving me nuts.
These colors are awful.
Old man lexus
The LC500 is a total failure, just like the RCF, GSF and the current IS500. Lexus/Toyota keep producing failed cars just to say they made certain types of cars, and that's a very bad engineering and business decision. You either make successful product, or you don't make it. There's a simple reason why products are terminated, because they fail to sell, and the reason they fail to sell is simple, they're not good enough to compete with other products on the market. You see the same trend with Toyota/Lexus in their first EV car, a total disaster from the start.
Wow! You have NO CLUE what you’re talking about regarding the LC. Geez!
@@bentleygucci numbers don't lie, these cars don't sell and don't compete, that's why they discontinue them after a few years. How long has the M or AMG cars been in the market? compare that to the ISF/GSF and soon to be discontinued LC/RCF. This is called reality. If your product isn't good for the purpose it's built, then it will fail.
@@ndenkha Well, all the people who think that the Lexus LC is a total failure and can't compete with "zee" germans have a wrong impression of this car.
Not convinced ?
Here is a LC 500 video from a nice gentlemen. And ohh, i almost forgot to mention..... he's a Mercedes AMG GT-s owner.

Yes, marketing is everything. BMW says "Ultimate Driving Machine" and weak minded people lap it up. But, when they get that bill for the $750 wheel bearing or the $3800 cheaply made electronic relay or the $2000 water pump, they are still content to know they are driving the best because BMW says so. That's the difference between schnooks and smart people. Schnooks don't mind spending a fortune on a car that breaks all the time. Smart people don't understand schnooks. Being a moron is perfectly OK. It suits some people. Those who own the LC 500 know what they have and they will probably never part with it because it's the best car on the market today for those who don't love spending money fixing well-advertised money pits. So, as they say in the military 'BOHICA", you schnooks who bought the hype have a great time with your superior cars. We wish you all the best!
