moments are just a bunch of guys who make phone lenses. but the amount of value they add to people lives is just amazing. thank you. what a great snapshot to how professionals do editing. i am a subscriber obviously. keep it up guys
Moment videos and tutorials are some of the most basic yet helpful/useful videos on iPhone cinematography on UA-cam. Bless up to these guys and their consistent inspiration to the craft!
"I know this video is all over the place." To a know-nothing guy like me at this stage, it definitely seems it. But, doesn't everything seem that way when we're brand new to it? I really appreciate that you put this together, and I'll keep re-watching and practicing. Thank you.
That chronological tip is what I've need in my life for so long! I don't know how many times I've manually reordered my footage so that it was in the same order. Thank you thank you!!
Question - If you film on your phone, do you edit it on your computer or on your phone? Let us know ⚡️ If you do edit on your phone, what app do you use?
Moment i tried out different apps for android and while there were some cool ones, I just don't think any of those fit my workflow. I usually get a huge timeline by the time Im done with Premiere. And huge part of that is Audio and color correction, two things that are harder to do on mobile. Plus I think mobile apps are copying the interface that was made for mouse and keyboard so that slows down the workflow. Also, there are no options for compression which really sucks I start with a crispy 4k file and end with a terrible looking file. So desktop all the way for now
Both. iMovie works well for beginners. Just bought LumaFusion and excited to see what I could make out of that! I wanted to ask what program do you use if you don’t want to spend the money for Premiere pro and your using phone footage?
I've been editing for a couple years, but I hit a slump and stopped editing. Been editing again and I had to reteach my myself all these things again. Great tips for beginners and great reminders for us who are getting back to it again. Awesome vid!
And then throw all those folders into a master folder and call it "Folder to Copy" I have one saved on my desktop and just copy and paste before I start a new project. Saves a minute or two of creating folders each time.
I've watched countless amount of tutorials on youtube but never came across something as clean, smooth and simple as this! Great aesthetic-y workflow guys, Great stuff! Enjoyed every minute EDIT: Wanted to ask if you guys use some kind of LUT? because your videos are kinda flat which i totally dig and looks so sick. Sometimes i wonder if you even used a lut and just uploaded the flat raw video from the c100 lol. Looks crisp anyway
If you are on a phone you can buy filmic pro (app) and there you can film in a log profile wich keeps more detail in the shadows and highlights on the video. This also what makes it look flat ✌
Wow I wanna say that you are one of the most people I follow and you take your time and patience to explain. This video helped me a lot since I am a beginner at all theses videography thank you 🙏
Just starting out with video and this is just brilliant. Getting the basics right from the start creates a foundation for all future work. Thanks Caleb 👏👏
Dude, I’ve needed a video like this forever. I know some basics for premiere but i never learned the proper way - just my messed up half ass way. Please make more videos like this about the post process and maybe even one on basic color grading. Thanks for this video.
To anyone interested, I bought the app Client Folder Maker in the Mac App Store and now with just a couple of clicks I can create the folder structure as recommended by Moment in this video. Super cool and efficient!
I tried this and it totally works wonders to my speed in editing. Thank you. I was super organised earlier but this has just upped my game! you guys are the best! after your basic tutorial I moved into premier just to try it out and the way you showed it made it so much more easier! Thank you! REALLY l really love learning and you guys are perfect in teaching in a simple efficient and entertaining way! thanks for being my film school Caleb
This workflow is great. Something I learned is because I like music so much I usually always start by laying down the audio below my first clip. Making sure it matches the tone I want to achieve and length of video I want. Then I add in and cut and move video around to the beats and rhythm of the music I use.
This is great! Very helpful file tracking system. My files are most often not very organized due to the lack of a solid system. Thanks for putting this together, I love it!
This video is super helpful to me right now as I'm trying to get into this whole "mobile filmmaker" thing. In fact, all your tutorial videos that I've watched so far have been super helpful. You'll be getting a lot of my money lol
Also, I'm hoping I can translate this info into Vegas Pro 14. I got it for dirt cheap, so that's what I'll be using, but getting Premiere is super tempting anyway.. lol
Really appreciated this video! ...Would love to see a video on the post process!! (Typical moves or concepts, color grading, etc!) Thanks for the content! -Dean
So happy to have found you guys channel! Can’t wait to get to try your products! Please please make the video of editing on the phone, I’m starting my channel and am needing to shoot and edit on my 6plus!!
SUPER helpful - i know more than a few YTers have Premiere Pro workflow vids (Peter McKinnon, Matti Haapoja, Roberto Blake, Terry White), but I always appreciate another good take on the process...THANKS!
Thanks sooooo much for this. After 10 yrs of intermittent Final Cut lockups and crashes I switched to Premiere Pro last week. Had to do a work project fast and what a mess that was. Will watch this great video as many times as it takes, and now looking forward to learning PP!
Great tips! It's nice to see some of the basics talked about. I've been learning Premiere Pro CC over the past few months but nobody ever talks about how they organize their files. I'm going to start applying this to my work immediately! Thanks!
Amazing video as usual. My recommendation for file transfer from android to any computer is a app called send anywhere. The app works just like air drop with no compression at all. hope it helped. :)
Good stuff! Thanks for sharing your work. Like others, I found the file organization to be *really* helpful. I'm glad to find a better way to organize the data.
better way to transfer from iphone to mac if you are using filmic pro is by connecting your phone to the computer and using file sharing on Itunes. transfers video much quicker and you dont run the risk of losing image quality.
Thank You so much Man.... Trust Me I was always an FCPX person but have been gaining courage to experiment with the PremierePro, This was great, Thanks a lot again..
This was really helpful to me. I’ve watched so many workflow tutorials and tbh they all had my head in a spin. This is really straightforward especially if you are like me, a messy worker who needs reigned in. Thank you 😊
We appreciate very much what you do...thanks from the bottom of our collective souls which used to reside in an asylum filled with misery, until it was hit by a run away train....& like a broken string of pearls, released us into the night!
I’m just learning at the mo and am starting to play around with my 7plus, but am considering an upgrade to an X, any phone editing tutorials would be gladly welcome. Love the Moment UA-cam channel guys 👍🏼
When you do the "Editing on Mobile" video, don't forget to mention, at least briefly, that the perfect phone for that is the Note line due to precision of the s-pen, which is night and day for this tasks. Nice video, looking forward to the medium level!
Great video! I'm so intimidated by making videos, so having things spelled out like this really helps. I also didn't know you could arrange your Downloads folder by date added and still have it in column mode, so that was a neat tip just from seeing you drag files around. 👍

Thank you, you are a brilliant teacher. You have provided foundational knowledge with totally clarity. 10/10 sir.

This is tremendous! Beautifully organized, nice & simple. Easy to understand. Thanks
Love the file structure tip! That is huge! Thank you :)
That chronological tip is what I've need in my life for so long! I don't know how many times I've manually reordered my footage so that it was in the same order. Thank you thank you!!
The folder set up was definitely helpful.
Right ON!
Woah... I had no idea you could put the footage in order. GAME CHANGER.

Moment LumaFusion
Computer!
Phone only for editing photos. Computer for video editing

I love it how u guys always able to take something so technical but explain it in a very layman, laidback way. Keep making those videos guys 😁
Omg!!! You guys listened!!! That was fast!! Thank you so much!
