So many people seem to forget that óne ward, just one, can give you baron, drag, 1 kill, an adc lategame walking alone, a 4v3 situation, even more kills, yóu not dying, buffs, killing junlger at their buffs and I can continue this list for ages! 75/100 gold for all that stuff I just called, please mercy, make a video with some good ward places, when to ward etc. It will help a lot I think

my "pro tip" for warding would be ... not every wards has to be inside a bush u know most of the bushes are against a wall which provides literally "less" vision less information about the spot it's better sometimes placing wards in middle of important roads like X shape around blue there are two. After crimson raptors(wraiths) just before going to river outside bush.. going down from there...it shows like 4 or 3 ways of traveling i have also seen the sneaky wards which are placed just in front of dragon or baron pit but not inside but outside directly facing enterance not seeing inside pit but seeing everything outside of it...
Yeah as a mid/jungle main i always buy wards but it seems that me and the support only is buying wards sometimes the supp dosen't even buy wards/sightstone. Well i play in EUNE and i hate that server the only reason still being there is i dont have RP and second all of my friends is there. I wish i hade enough rp to transfer them all sometime. ;D
Don't worry man, EUW is the same shit xD Yea, I mean.. You can only put 3 wards, 4 if you count a pink ward, as a support. It's impossible to cover the whole map alone. It's frustrating indeed!
As someone who has rank anxiety, I really thank you for making this video. This has really helped me a lot and had given me more confidence in continuing to play ranked games.
Glad you said number 4. There are way too many learning channels on UA-cam saying the same thing "ward, don't rage, bla bla bla" but some people don't win games because they're not good at the game. No matter how many times you tell them to not rage, they don't get better mechanically, they make the same mistakes. League is much more than a mental game, if you can't last hit properly, but you maintain your rage, you're still gonna lose.
if you just hit level 30 on your first acount that means you are arround bronze 2-3 level i recommend either playing ranked teams or just playing normals until you get enough money to buy different rune sets and pages

While i do agree with all of this, the 4th one you said it is your fault when you lose. But if you go 17/1/5, While your AD jungle Soraka goes 0/17/1, I dont think it is your fault...I agree and disagree, I would say SOMETIMES it is your teams fault and not yours.

Great video Red! I think it's finally time to start over again, this season I reached bronze 2. I didn't care about ranked, nor do divisions describe how well you play, I just practiced and practiced in normals, so I can go to gold(I hope) this season

My advice may be pretty stupid but it is quite common in low elo games... if you get a high killing spree and the rest of the enemies are in tower or in a situation where you will diem just don't... you won't get to higher rank with more pentakills, they don't count, the ones that count are how many multiple kills you get, so if you get a double and a triple, and then a quadra and the enemy is in fountain, don't tell your whole team to rush into the fountain.... ty and amazing video red

Everyone watching this video is still thinking about those 'others' he talked about that raged. It happens to all of us. Even if you do it once a year by say of speach. @McL White Well, I am talking as someone, who mostly jungles here. As a jungler you often want to go, where you see your best chances. If you think a countergank might work AND you see the enemy before a gank and have time to react, you can countergank. But when you don`t see it and just wait in a bush, you loose cs. Because of the now higher spawntimes on wolfes and raptors this gets even worse. Also most junglers don`t realy camp. They go up and down the jungle and farm and when they see an oportunity, they gank. Because the cross mid while going up AND down, they gank it more often. Also the enemy needs to buy more wards and has easier gank paths(from enemy jungle in the back etc.), so chances are even higher of not being spottet. And last of all from the junglers point of view: Not everyone can countergank well. Some are just CS-cannons who can gank one target and hold it in place, letting it die. Others have more overall damage, which is by far better for counterganks. Also you need instant mobility for it and your laner needs to react fast, too. When you don`t trust him in helping you asap, thats a major negative. It sounds hard, but for a jungler often it is a better choise to let one lane die slowly and feed other lanes quickly. Depends on the matchups, but especially squishy junglers are often afraid to gank/countergank feeded enemys, afraid of being burstet. (Always these people you can`t answer through a button. : c He might never see this. ^_^" Topic was, why junglers often don`t countergank.)

In my first account, I used to be in bronze 1 where I never admitted my mistakes and just kept blaming bad players and my 200 ping x-x. And then I decided to suck it up and start understanding my own mistakes and the enemy team's mistakes. I knew I had high ping so I chose champs that were less reliant on ping. And when the team did not ward, I just made sure I warded a lot whatever lane I was on. I am not in a rank high enough to be a master of all trades or a one trick pony x-x so I just tried to find 3-5 "one trick ponies" for every role so hence I play every role.. probably not equally ^^.. I still have a lot to learn with certain roles especially. I think whereever rank you are, it is important to constantly evaluate what you did wrong and what you did right. I'm in gold 2 now :).
Yeah, I have the exact problem too!, but I completely don't know how to build, see I just follow the format for most of my champions, and my mains are probably just the only ones that I actually know how to build, since i'm just so used to them, I know the awarnesses. But Goodjob!:)
I think you should have added in map awareness/predicting your enemies movements. One thing I have learned is that having map awareness can save your life. Even if there are no wards placed or only one ward. If i am pushing a lane I use my map to keep track of my enemy. If i realize I am pushed far, but I have vision on 3-4 of the enemy I can see if they are going to keep pushing our lanes or if they leave I can predict what they will potentially do by thinking what I would do in that situation. Think from their position. If you notice they continue to base to take down your turrets. You can assess how much trouble you are in or if it would be more profitable to keep pushing, then returning to base and defending. If they leave your vision on the map and you are trying to take their second top/bot turret you can reasonable predict that they are heading your way to kill you.
Anxiety was a big one for me for a long time. What I did to get over this was level a second account, and play my first ranked game of the day on that account each time. Funny thing is, my elo on my second account became much higher since I didn't worry about whether I win or lose.

what you call elo hell is when you think you are better than the rest of your team, but not good enough to carry them to victory. If you can't carry your games and perform well in all of them, you are at the right spot, and there is nothing wrong with that

I agree with almost everything you said, except with the third one. The best approach is by far the few-tricks-pony approach. Dont tunnel vision yourself with only one champ, but dont try to learn too many either.
Personally i struggled to go from silver to gold.. Then lcs started in spring and pros came with AP Lulu idea for mid/top, so i tried it too since i like her a lot and started to take her in every single ranked, if she was taken/banned i would take kayle or similar mid.. Sometimes if i would not get mid/top/support i would go tank or safe adc and depend on the team. So when i started to play lulu i hit plat in less than one month.. And she got nerfed so i stayed there.. But the tip would be to choose one champ you really like and that is common pick even in pro league or something like that and then practice that champ hard and play at least 5 games a day if you can, you will improve very much and will win a ton of rankeds.. When i played lulu i won 23 games out of 27 games in 3 days. Have a great season :)

I never knew that people got anxious over this game, I never knew it was that stressful playing ranked, I just play for fun o.o. as for the elo hell arguments I don't really pay that attention because it's accepting it as being real or fake has nothing to do with my rank. But I do feel like during the Christmas Break time, carrying got a lot harder. Or maybe when the prizes were announced. I just know I was doing well with decent teams and got to Gold IV then Xmas break hit and that was over. Good luck to everyone in the new season though 💪
Personally the advice about anxiety doesn't benefit me much because my personality makes my play style verry aggressive. Therefore my first game i usually win because i play safe and "overestimate" their power, but after a couple of games i get cocky and just fail. However i loved the advice, keep up the good work!
Im diamond4, and the thing about people getting nervous is thinking too much on their ranks. People i know usually lolnexus to see what rank their opponent is and gets nervous if they're higher elo. PRO TIP: dont be discouraged to use the website but i think it harms you more than benefits. It puts you on pressure and you should just focus on he current game and punish on their mistakes. And yea its better to main some roles but dont be mad and toxic playing support. I usally play blitz and have a fun time.
Another few tips. - Play comfortably: Make sure you've had something to eat and drink, that your chores are done and you aren't planning to do something else in the next 30 minutes. When you feel rushed, you play recklessly. - Don't play to counter: Most match ups are down to skill rather than kits. Pick a champion you know you can win with rather than someone you've never played with. - CHEESE: Get advantages by waiting at your enemies buffs with your jungler for an easy kill. Do a 4 man roam bot to get your ADC fed. Exploit easy strategies instead of staying in lane all game. And take some AD on ranged mages for last hitting and poke. Also, rush QSS against Fizz, regardless of what champ you're playing. Trust me, it helps so much until level 11. - Falling behind in kills means nothing: Turrets and farm usually mean more than kills. Remember that 1 kill = 15 minions = 1 turret and 7 minions. If their mid starts roaming, just focus on clearing two and a half waves to make sure you don't fall behind them. - Your ADC is your lifeline: There's rarely a lane that can push as hard as any ADC. If you're the ADC, focus on pushing down their bot turret, then head to mid to push their turret down too. Remember, two turrets is 300 gold for everyone. That's a 1.5k gold advantage. - Play safe and don't be flashy: Doing cool things is nice but when it comes down to it, you just want to kill them. Don't play risky, just poke and poke and poke while farming. - Finally, roaming: Has your lane opponent gotten a kill? Go to another lane and help them get a kill. That doesn't mean camp their lane, but that extra 150-300 gold can put you back in the game. League is not a one-man race. You need to make sure your whole team gets over the finish line.
this really deserves a thumbs up since hes trying to learn ppl how important warding is, i always have the feeling im the only 1 warding (exept for the support mostly) when im playing a game with friends or random ppl
I would add on the 5th tip about wards, looking at the map often. Like, not obsessing about it but take look at it when you can. Often people will put wards and won't see a warded enemy coming at them.
Thank you for the video Red. Im a pretty low player and im actually bronze 3 (please dont laught) but i have struggled to get better at League of Legends. Well it has been alot better with this video at 2:48 when you told about Anxiety and being scared to lose really got me really far. Finally i realised that my proplem werent me playing bad but it was inside me i lose games because i get scared of losing but when i started a ranked game i first turned on the fan and drank some water from the fridge and my stress were weakend. Ty alot Redmercy u made my day.
I think that the best way to climb is to combine the two styles: one trick pony and master of all trades. You just pick one champion that you really like and you can carry with it and climb to your desired league. Once you accomplished that you can start to learn other roles and slowly become master of all trades.
What I do is choose the best 2 champions plus 1 backup that I am best with in each role and write them down. It keeps me focused in champ select and keeps me from falling into the trap of trying to pick the best champion (counter/popular) vs a champion I'm best with.
For tip number three, I'm actually in between since for the champions I play, I am really strong. Being a master of trades however does sometimes make you forget things like taking smite in jungle
The tilting factor is so huge. One of my last games I played was me as Azir top, Rengo mid, Karthus top, and the botlane. Their team was with a lee jungle and a Draven adc. At one moment, teamfights were even, I realised our bot was 2/20/3 (1/9/0 and 1/11/2) and I could've flamed bc they were always out of position, they support didnt ward,... But that didn't matter as I was not fed, but nicely farmed and 3/4 kills as azir I knew we only needed one good teamfight lategame because the lee was so bloodthisty he always went for our bot to kill them but never for me or Karthus who actahlly were a treat. I told my bot to not give up and to keep playing because they were perfect cd absorbers. Everyone but their draven ulted our botlane and me and Karthus just had a clean up 2 do after Rengo 2 shotted the nonpeeled Draven. If I flamed, they wouldn't teamfight and start to troll, always be positive and use them in your advantage!
What it is like for every main... Top Lane: Farm all day never with team... Mid Lane: GUISE I CANT PLAY ADC OR TOP PLS MID Adc: YO IM SO GOOD LOOK AT THEESE VAYNE MECHANICS!!! Jungle: Never ganks your lane.... Support Mains: we love u.
Hey redmercy thanks for all the good tips, I personally am more a master of all trades but play like a one trick pony right now, because I always think playing just one champion over and over is too boring so after a time I pretty much learned all the Champions but atm if I can I pretty much just go j4 jungle if I can because it is still my strongest pick and it doesn't get banned too often, one advantage of a master of all trades you forgot which I can see pretty well sometimes when discussing matchups and abilities with people is that some one trick ponies who don't really care about ever playing other champions sometimes have no feeling for their abilities in terms of range, cool down and damage while I can often see myself saying something like watch that guys ability probably is up again and you're in range so you should watch for that which can be really useful
Team mates have always been afking, raging, feeding, while I ineffectually try to convince them to keep a positive attitude. I've been playing since season one, the same things happen every year. Elo hell isn't real though, right?! So i guess its just #4, I must not be good enough.

for the 4th tip, once when i was maining ryze, i always dominated lane in bronze and carried myself to silver 1. But then suddenly people started focusing and dominating me instead, i didnt know why but soon i realized that i shouldnt use my CC ability for poke, because then i wont have any escape abilities.
Really good tipps dude especially the rage one :) This is my first season im playing league of legends and my goal was to get silver right after the 10 ranked games you have to do. At first it wasnt going too well :D ( 2wins 3 looses) But after i saw your video i ended up with 6 wins and 4 looses which was silver for me ^^ Love you and keep going
everyone should watch this. Tilt is #1 killer at low elo. I usually start engaging team positevely at start and try to quash ragers against other teammates without flaming them. Doesnt always work but when you can cool team I find win ratio is better than even games where a teammate has snowball.
Another tip: Pinging, listening to it and doing it. So many times have a player in my team aggressed on the enemy laner and got killed. They ask: nice mia top (i'm a top lane main), I'll be like, i pinged it... you just didn't pay attention. Also, if they didn't call it, then its still your fault because: no map awareness, no wards, etc. Its so important to pay attention to the minimap. Rito gave it to you for a reason. Use it.
my mindset is too be confident because in my elo almost everyone sucks, and i have to get super fed that game and carry because my teams are usually worse. i also have the mindset that every mistake will be one step further from carrying my noob team. with this mindset i became super good and carry almost every game and rarely make mistakes so guys listen to me
This is so true, when i go into a game i say dont flame and gl hf etc. and i play games where i occasionally feed for example i went 0-6 blitz bc i was peeling for my carry, but noone flamed if anything everyone was rather encouraging and even after losing lane, we won the game. Secondly, warding ... Do you think an adc should ward some at least, seeing as a supp can only ward 3 times
I think you should be able to play most champs decetnly but have a pool of champions that you play exceptionally good (like 3-4 champs) but make sure you can play different roles with those chaps (or have one champ for each role/lane)
I got a question for 1-trick-ponies. What if your main champion doesn't fit into the team? Will you gladly accept the loss? For example if your team only has 1 tank and your a zed main. Would you go Zed in mid still? Or would you take one for the team and go a tanky mid laner like Cho'gath or Urgot so your team can have 2 effective tanks?

Oh, do I know about 4. So, in the beginning/middle of season 4 I was feeling stuck in ELO hell.. I managed to do decently in the game, din't feed too much, even made some game changing things. So, I went all like - oh God, i'm stuck in elo hell. Then, I saw a friend of mine (who had stopped rankeds for a bit to improve as he said it) play again (she was bronze). She climbed from bronze to Gold so fast, I couldn't believe it. And then I realized - you don't have to be DECENT every game, because you will stay at your place - where you can be DECENT. You have to perform outstandingly good, and THEN you will be able to be better than most people in your elo. Thus climb higher. So now with this in mind... Let's see what Season 5 has in store :)

The anxiety/being scared one is my biggest problem. Idk why but whenever I queue up, I always feel like I'm going to lose lane and just have a bad game before it even starts. Idk why it happens but that is a big issue for me.
I use my anger from losing a game to motivate me for the next games, I always do best when I can play as much as possible at once with no more than 5 mins breaks. Then again as a trained and competitive athlete for many years I have no problems with tilt...
thing is you have to define a bad game....theres a difference between losing lane then, recognizing it, then preceding to play safe and only go 0/4 OR theres continuing to engage until you're 0/10
I used to have a large pool of champs, but now I'm more of a 5 trick pony Cass main Flubber, TF, Thresh, Heimy to a high standard. Oh I'm very proficient with Janna too :p but I rarely play her

LOL! I had this "brilliant" idea which I shared with my brother. I said that why won't I spectate your game every moment you'll play rank? I thought of that because our computers are side by side so he could watch my screen if enemies are there. Well, when I tried it, it was epic... I noticed that it was 3 min. delay. It was a pretty good idea though, but I realized Riot ain't too dumb for that.

First I was really scared, I was in bronze and just completely forgot about ranked, then I start to pick it up again after a few months and got to gold in no time
My tip if your under Plat, learn support, if you are under Plat the chances of finding someone who has taken the time to at learn become familiar with support is next to none, so just understanding how to play support at an okay level helps out a lot.
If you are a low elo player like me and you don't really know how to play top, mid or jungle I can highly recommend these 3 unbalanced champions: Mid: LeBlanc Top: Riven Jungle: Warwick watch some guides and you will learn them quickly :)

I'm really strage then whenever I'm anxiuos or I'm afraid in a game, makes me play better cause I focus on things better and analyze situations and enemy drawbacks. I'm a master of all trades, and I get through most of the lanes, I might need some help with mid cause I like season 1 and 2 mids :P
From 1 year when I wach video like this one I just stop flaming. I realize that I am not such a good player.I start to play not just katarina I start to main vayne and lee.... and still I have only 50% wins and I am silver. Sometimes I give the lane to someone else they lose it and still I am not flaming.But yea I realy dont ward and I am gonna start this season and see what is gonna happen.And good video red keep going!
I ward all the time :D but sometimes we just get these traps and we can't even ward cuz if we try we die, those games are what I call unwinnable unless we have amazing team fighting, and I accept that.
I have about 4 level 30 accounts, 1 account I never got to play mid (I main mid and I'm a complete monster) and I was 0-5.Carried mid to 5-5.i made it to bronze 4.Next games that I try to get out of elo,I was 9-1.only raised to bronze 1.next series, I went 8-2 which put me in silver 4.after that I finally went 10-0 and I got in gold 4.thank you for he advice :)
Nice but I feel like there is more to 1 trick ponys. I main Mid with a very good Lissandra and I hardly loose lane (but it happens). The problem is that its hard to get mid so I have at least 1 champ to each role. That being said I feel like many 1 trick ponys should have one amazing champion but 4 others in the background. Mine are: Darius-Top Fidlesticks-Jungle Lissandra-Mid (The Main) Jinx-Adc Thresh-Supp

Redmercy , I've used your tips and I played some ranked, i warded, I didn't raged I played all of my best champs and I got demoted from gold, no one raged and my bot feeded all of the games and also top and i it was impossible to win this game, so anyone can give me advices even you red :)
I agree with not being frustrated I lost against a darius I did not get frustrated because I knew that I was way tanker and better late game we died so much but I started shen ulting on bottom to get tris fed so it started getting tris stronger so we won because our trist and my peel I was doing helped our team win im a 1 pony because I play only shen I depend on him because he never gets banned so if you want an op tank that does not get banned lately for top play shen :D

In low elo you might get the heim support that says you dont need wards i can use my turrent, or teemo support that uses shrooms as wards, it just doesnt work in my opinion, becasue it doesnt give the same amount of vision and they can easily be destroyed
just make a video about warding. So many people seem to forget that óne ward, just one, can give you baron, drag, 1 kill, an adc lategame walking alone, a 4v3 situation, even more kills, yóu not dying, buffs, killing junlger at their buffs and I can continue this list for ages! 75/100 gold for all that stuff I just called, please mercy, make a video with some good ward places, when to ward etc. It will help a lot I think

my "pro tip" for warding would be ... not every wards has to be inside a bush u know most of the bushes are against a wall which provides literally "less" vision less information about the spot it's better sometimes placing wards in middle of important roads like X shape around blue there are two. After crimson raptors(wraiths) just before going to river outside bush.. going down from there...it shows like 4 or 3 ways of traveling i have also seen the sneaky wards which are placed just in front of dragon or baron pit but not inside but outside directly facing enterance not seeing inside pit but seeing everything outside of it...

Yeah as a mid/jungle main i always buy wards but it seems that me and the support only is buying wards sometimes the supp dosen't even buy wards/sightstone. Well i play in EUNE and i hate that server the only reason still being there is i dont have RP and second all of my friends is there. I wish i hade enough rp to transfer them all sometime. ;D

As someone who has rank anxiety, I really thank you for making this video. This has really helped me a lot and had given me more confidence in continuing to play ranked games.
Glad you said number 4. There are way too many learning channels on UA-cam saying the same thing "ward, don't rage, bla bla bla" but some people don't win games because they're not good at the game. No matter how many times you tell them to not rage, they don't get better mechanically, they make the same mistakes. League is much more than a mental game, if you can't last hit properly, but you maintain your rage, you're still gonna lose.

if you just hit level 30 on your first acount that means you are arround bronze 2-3 level i recommend either playing ranked teams or just playing normals until you get enough money to buy different rune sets and pages

My advice may be pretty stupid but it is quite common in low elo games... if you get a high killing spree and the rest of the enemies are in tower or in a situation where you will diem just don't... you won't get to higher rank with more pentakills, they don't count, the ones that count are how many multiple kills you get, so if you get a double and a triple, and then a quadra and the enemy is in fountain, don't tell your whole team to rush into the fountain.... ty and amazing video red

@McL White Well, I am talking as someone, who mostly jungles here. As a jungler you often want to go, where you see your best chances. If you think a countergank might work AND you see the enemy before a gank and have time to react, you can countergank. But when you don`t see it and just wait in a bush, you loose cs. Because of the now higher spawntimes on wolfes and raptors this gets even worse.
Also most junglers don`t realy camp. They go up and down the jungle and farm and when they see an oportunity, they gank. Because the cross mid while going up AND down, they gank it more often. Also the enemy needs to buy more wards and has easier gank paths(from enemy jungle in the back etc.), so chances are even higher of not being spottet.
And last of all from the junglers point of view: Not everyone can countergank well. Some are just CS-cannons who can gank one target and hold it in place, letting it die. Others have more overall damage, which is by far better for counterganks. Also you need instant mobility for it and your laner needs to react fast, too. When you don`t trust him in helping you asap, thats a major negative.
It sounds hard, but for a jungler often it is a better choise to let one lane die slowly and feed other lanes quickly. Depends on the matchups, but especially squishy junglers are often afraid to gank/countergank feeded enemys, afraid of being burstet.

I think the "learn from your mistakes" is really true. In my first account, I used to be in bronze 1 where I never admitted my mistakes and just kept blaming bad players and my 200 ping x-x. And then I decided to suck it up and start understanding my own mistakes and the enemy team's mistakes. I knew I had high ping so I chose champs that were less reliant on ping. And when the team did not ward, I just made sure I warded a lot whatever lane I was on. I am not in a rank high enough to be a master of all trades or a one trick pony x-x so I just tried to find 3-5 "one trick ponies" for every role so hence I play every role.. probably not equally ^^.. I still have a lot to learn with certain roles especially. I think whereever rank you are, it is important to constantly evaluate what you did wrong and what you did right. I'm in gold 2 now :).
Yeah, I have the exact problem too!, but I completely don't know how to build, see I just follow the format for most of my champions, and my mains are probably just the only ones that I actually know how to build, since i'm just so used to them, I know the awarnesses. But Goodjob!:)

I think you should have added in map awareness/predicting your enemies movements. One thing I have learned is that having map awareness can save your life. Even if there are no wards placed or only one ward. If i am pushing a lane I use my map to keep track of my enemy. If i realize I am pushed far, but I have vision on 3-4 of the enemy I can see if they are going to keep pushing our lanes or if they leave I can predict what they will potentially do by thinking what I would do in that situation. Think from their position. If you notice they continue to base to take down your turrets. You can assess how much trouble you are in or if it would be more profitable to keep pushing, then returning to base and defending. If they leave your vision on the map and you are trying to take their second top/bot turret you can reasonable predict that they are heading your way to kill you.

Anxiety was a big one for me for a long time. What I did to get over this was level a second account, and play my first ranked game of the day on that account each time. Funny thing is, my elo on my second account became much higher since I didn't worry about whether I win or lose.

Personally i struggled to go from silver to gold.. Then lcs started in spring and pros came with AP Lulu idea for mid/top, so i tried it too since i like her a lot and started to take her in every single ranked, if she was taken/banned i would take kayle or similar mid.. Sometimes if i would not get mid/top/support i would go tank or safe adc and depend on the team. So when i started to play lulu i hit plat in less than one month.. And she got nerfed so i stayed there.. But the tip would be to choose one champ you really like and that is common pick even in pro league or something like that and then practice that champ hard and play at least 5 games a day if you can, you will improve very much and will win a ton of rankeds.. When i played lulu i won 23 games out of 27 games in 3 days. Have a great season :)

I never knew that people got anxious over this game, I never knew it was that stressful playing ranked, I just play for fun o.o. as for the elo hell arguments I don't really pay that attention because it's accepting it as being real or fake has nothing to do with my rank. But I do feel like during the Christmas Break time, carrying got a lot harder. Or maybe when the prizes were announced. I just know I was doing well with decent teams and got to Gold IV then Xmas break hit and that was over. Good luck to everyone in the new season though 💪

Personally the advice about anxiety doesn't benefit me much because my personality makes my play style verry aggressive. Therefore my first game i usually win because i play safe and "overestimate" their power, but after a couple of games i get cocky and just fail. However i loved the advice, keep up the good work!

Im diamond4, and the thing about people getting nervous is thinking too much on their ranks. People i know usually lolnexus to see what rank their opponent is and gets nervous if they're higher elo. PRO TIP: dont be discouraged to use the website but i think it harms you more than benefits. It puts you on pressure and you should just focus on he current game and punish on their mistakes. And yea its better to main some roles but dont be mad and toxic playing support. I usally play blitz and have a fun time.
Another few tips.
- Play comfortably: Make sure you've had something to eat and drink, that your chores are done and you aren't planning to do something else in the next 30 minutes. When you feel rushed, you play recklessly.
- Don't play to counter: Most match ups are down to skill rather than kits. Pick a champion you know you can win with rather than someone you've never played with.
- CHEESE: Get advantages by waiting at your enemies buffs with your jungler for an easy kill. Do a 4 man roam bot to get your ADC fed. Exploit easy strategies instead of staying in lane all game. And take some AD on ranged mages for last hitting and poke. Also, rush QSS against Fizz, regardless of what champ you're playing. Trust me, it helps so much until level 11.
- Falling behind in kills means nothing: Turrets and farm usually mean more than kills. Remember that 1 kill = 15 minions = 1 turret and 7 minions. If their mid starts roaming, just focus on clearing two and a half waves to make sure you don't fall behind them.
- Your ADC is your lifeline: There's rarely a lane that can push as hard as any ADC. If you're the ADC, focus on pushing down their bot turret, then head to mid to push their turret down too. Remember, two turrets is 300 gold for everyone. That's a 1.5k gold advantage.
- Play safe and don't be flashy: Doing cool things is nice but when it comes down to it, you just want to kill them. Don't play risky, just poke and poke and poke while farming.
- Finally, roaming: Has your lane opponent gotten a kill? Go to another lane and help them get a kill. That doesn't mean camp their lane, but that extra 150-300 gold can put you back in the game.
League is not a one-man race. You need to make sure your whole team gets over the finish line.
this really deserves a thumbs up since hes trying to learn ppl how important warding is, i always have the feeling im the only 1 warding (exept for the support mostly) when im playing a game with friends or random ppl

I would add on the 5th tip about wards, looking at the map often. Like, not obsessing about it but take look at it when you can. Often people will put wards and won't see a warded enemy coming at them.
Thank you for the video Red. Im a pretty low player and im actually bronze 3 (please dont laught) but i have struggled to get better at League of Legends. Well it has been alot better with this video at 2:48 when you told about Anxiety and being scared to lose really got me really far. Finally i realised that my proplem werent me playing bad but it was inside me i lose games because i get scared of losing but when i started a ranked game i first turned on the fan and drank some water from the fridge and my stress were weakend. Ty alot Redmercy u made my day.
I think that the best way to climb is to combine the two styles: one trick pony and master of all trades. You just pick one champion that you really like and you can carry with it and climb to your desired league. Once you accomplished that you can start to learn other roles and slowly become master of all trades.
What I do is choose the best 2 champions plus 1 backup that I am best with in each role and write them down. It keeps me focused in champ select and keeps me from falling into the trap of trying to pick the best champion (counter/popular) vs a champion I'm best with.
For tip number three, I'm actually in between since for the champions I play, I am really strong. Being a master of trades however does sometimes make you forget things like taking smite in jungle
The tilting factor is so huge. One of my last games I played was me as Azir top, Rengo mid, Karthus top, and the botlane. Their team was with a lee jungle and a Draven adc. At one moment, teamfights were even, I realised our bot was 2/20/3 (1/9/0 and 1/11/2) and I could've flamed bc they were always out of position, they support didnt ward,... But that didn't matter as I was not fed, but nicely farmed and 3/4 kills as azir I knew we only needed one good teamfight lategame because the lee was so bloodthisty he always went for our bot to kill them but never for me or Karthus who actahlly were a treat. I told my bot to not give up and to keep playing because they were perfect cd absorbers. Everyone but their draven ulted our botlane and me and Karthus just had a clean up 2 do after Rengo 2 shotted the nonpeeled Draven. If I flamed, they wouldn't teamfight and start to troll, always be positive and use them in your advantage!

Hey redmercy thanks for all the good tips, I personally am more a master of all trades but play like a one trick pony right now, because I always think playing just one champion over and over is too boring so after a time I pretty much learned all the Champions but atm if I can I pretty much just go j4 jungle if I can because it is still my strongest pick and it doesn't get banned too often, one advantage of a master of all trades you forgot which I can see pretty well sometimes when discussing matchups and abilities with people is that some one trick ponies who don't really care about ever playing other champions sometimes have no feeling for their abilities in terms of range, cool down and damage while I can often see myself saying something like watch that guys ability probably is up again and you're in range so you should watch for that which can be really useful
Team mates have always been afking, raging, feeding, while I ineffectually try to convince them to keep a positive attitude. I've been playing since season one, the same things happen every year. Elo hell isn't real though, right?! So i guess its just #4, I must not be good enough.

for the 4th tip, once when i was maining ryze, i always dominated lane in bronze and carried myself to silver 1. But then suddenly people started focusing and dominating me instead, i didnt know why but soon i realized that i shouldnt use my CC ability for poke, because then i wont have any escape abilities.

everyone should watch this. Tilt is #1 killer at low elo. I usually start engaging team positevely at start and try to quash ragers against other teammates without flaming them. Doesnt always work but when you can cool team I find win ratio is better than even games where a teammate has snowball.

Another tip: Pinging, listening to it and doing it. So many times have a player in my team aggressed on the enemy laner and got killed. They ask: nice mia top (i'm a top lane main), I'll be like, i pinged it... you just didn't pay attention. Also, if they didn't call it, then its still your fault because: no map awareness, no wards, etc. Its so important to pay attention to the minimap. Rito gave it to you for a reason. Use it.
my mindset is too be confident because in my elo almost everyone sucks, and i have to get super fed that game and carry because my teams are usually worse. i also have the mindset that every mistake will be one step further from carrying my noob team. with this mindset i became super good and carry almost every game and rarely make mistakes so guys listen to me
This is so true, when i go into a game i say dont flame and gl hf etc. and i play games where i occasionally feed for example i went 0-6 blitz bc i was peeling for my carry, but noone flamed if anything everyone was rather encouraging and even after losing lane, we won the game. Secondly, warding ... Do you think an adc should ward some at least, seeing as a supp can only ward 3 times
I think you should be able to play most champs decetnly but have a pool of champions that you play exceptionally good (like 3-4 champs) but make sure you can play different roles with those chaps (or have one champ for each role/lane)

I got a question for 1-trick-ponies. What if your main champion doesn't fit into the team? Will you gladly accept the loss? For example if your team only has 1 tank and your a zed main. Would you go Zed in mid still? Or would you take one for the team and go a tanky mid laner like Cho'gath or Urgot so your team can have 2 effective tanks?

Oh, do I know about 4. So, in the beginning/middle of season 4 I was feeling stuck in ELO hell.. I managed to do decently in the game, din't feed too much, even made some game changing things. So, I went all like - oh God, i'm stuck in elo hell. Then, I saw a friend of mine (who had stopped rankeds for a bit to improve as he said it) play again (she was bronze). She climbed from bronze to Gold so fast, I couldn't believe it. And then I realized - you don't have to be DECENT every game, because you will stay at your place - where you can be DECENT. You have to perform outstandingly good, and THEN you will be able to be better than most people in your elo. Thus climb higher. So now with this in mind... Let's see what Season 5 has in store :)

The anxiety/being scared one is my biggest problem. Idk why but whenever I queue up, I always feel like I'm going to lose lane and just have a bad game before it even starts. Idk why it happens but that is a big issue for me.
I used to be a 1 TrickPony as Zed but I went to practise all lanes with different types of champs to fill the roles
I use my anger from losing a game to motivate me for the next games, I always do best when I can play as much as possible at once with no more than 5 mins breaks. Then again as a trained and competitive athlete for many years I have no problems with tilt...
thing is you have to define a bad game....theres a difference between losing lane then, recognizing it, then preceding to play safe and only go 0/4 OR theres continuing to engage until you're 0/10

Redmercy, what do you think about the build I am currently using? Hydra, Ghostblade, Bloodthirster, CDR boots, Last Whisper and Mercurial Scimitar? Full build you can WEQ people to death, a full combo is certain death.
At 4:30 you could have worded that better. Master of all trades implies you mastered every champ ... the correct phrase would be Jack of all Trades, but Master of None. (: Good points though.
LOL! I had this "brilliant" idea which I shared with my brother. I said that why won't I spectate your game every moment you'll play rank? I thought of that because our computers are side by side so he could watch my screen if enemies are there. Well, when I tried it, it was epic... I noticed that it was 3 min. delay. It was a pretty good idea though, but I realized Riot ain't too dumb for that.

1 tip if you arent shure about going in just wait until the enemey team makes a mistake. Or do a wombo combo to secure a teamfight

First I was really scared, I was in bronze and just completely forgot about ranked, then I start to pick it up again after a few months and got to gold in no time
My tip if your under Plat, learn support, if you are under Plat the chances of finding someone who has taken the time to at learn become familiar with support is next to none, so just understanding how to play support at an okay level helps out a lot.
If you are a low elo player like me and you don't really know how to play top, mid or jungle I can highly recommend these 3 unbalanced champions:
Mid: LeBlanc
Top: Riven
Jungle: Warwick
watch some guides and you will learn them quickly :)
3. tipp: i personally play only few champs and am really good at them ^^
(Zed, Akali, Irelia, Thresh) I think its the best way to play ranked ^^
I think the last advice is actually not your own safety but mainly helping your team dont get caught wich makes soloq so hard to control

I'm really strage then whenever I'm anxiuos or I'm afraid in a game, makes me play better cause I focus on things better and analyze situations and enemy drawbacks.
I'm a master of all trades, and I get through most of the lanes, I might need some help with mid cause I like season 1 and 2 mids :P
From 1 year when I wach video like this one I just stop flaming. I realize that I am not such a good player.I start to play not just katarina I start to main vayne and lee.... and still I have only 50% wins and I am silver. Sometimes I give the lane to someone else they lose it and still I am not flaming.But yea I realy dont ward and I am gonna start this season and see what is gonna happen.And good video red keep going!

but sometimes we just get these traps and we can't even ward cuz if we try we die, those games are what I call unwinnable unless we have amazing team fighting, and I accept that.
I do the Master of all trades, I can play 3 roles, Mid, Adc, and support. I use Ahri, Caitlyn, and Sona.
A tip that I find helps me is to think that it's a normal game, it helps you to keep your calm when you make a mistake.
I have about 4 level 30 accounts, 1 account I never got to play mid (I main mid and I'm a complete monster) and I was 0-5.Carried mid to 5-5.i made it to bronze 4.Next games that I try to get out of elo,I was 9-1.only raised to bronze 1.next series, I went 8-2 which put me in silver 4.after that I finally went 10-0 and I got in gold 4.thank you for he advice :)
Nice but I feel like there is more to 1 trick ponys.
I main Mid with a very good Lissandra and I hardly loose lane (but it happens).
The problem is that its hard to get mid so I have at least 1 champ to each role.
That being said I feel like many 1 trick ponys should have one amazing champion but 4 others in the background.

Fidlesticks-Jungle
Lissandra-Mid (The Main)
Jinx-Adc
Thresh-Supp
Some nice tips. In my opinion being a one trick pony is best. Heck i rose in rank quickly for maining nid just after the rework. Trying it again. And i'm always scared of flaming might need to ignore people now
Redmercy , I've used your tips and I played some ranked, i warded, I didn't raged I played all of my best champs and I got demoted from gold, no one raged and my bot feeded all of the games and also top and i it was impossible to win this game, so anyone can give me advices even you red :)
I agree with not being frustrated I lost against a darius I did not get frustrated because I knew that I was way tanker and better late game we died so much but I started shen ulting on bottom to get tris fed so it started getting tris stronger so we won because our trist and my peel I was doing helped our team win im a 1 pony because I play only shen I depend on him because he never gets banned so if you want an op tank that does not get banned lately for top play shen :D
Problem With The Ragers? Mute Them Like Seriously, Have Pressure At Your Lanes That Makes Your Game Take Too Long And Just Wait For THE COMEBACKS/Lategame
Honestly when I get anxious if I'm against someone higher elo than me in lane I start to focus harder and try hard
i went 9 wins and 1 loss in my promos and i get anxious every game. It keeps me on point

In low elo you might get the heim support that says you dont need wards i can use my turrent, or teemo support that uses shrooms as wards, it just doesnt work in my opinion, becasue it doesnt give the same amount of vision and they can easily be destroyed
