The main opponent of the mod is the titular character from the Sonic.EXE series, but it also features many other horror-oriented characters from other official and fan-made Sonic media, including Sonic (PC PORT), Sonic CD, Sunky, Sonic R, Sonic Shorts, and Sonic the Comic.
X, better known as Sonic.exe (sometimes stylized as Sonic.EXE), is the titular main antagonist of the infamous Creepypasta of the same name and its sequel Round 2.
He is an anomalous, interdimensional energy-based entity driven by an instinctive lust for destruction and pain. Becoming completely obsessed with enslaving the human race, X took the form of Sonic the Hedgehog and created a haunted CD-ROM copy of the original Sega Genesis game that acted as a portal separating his dimension from Earth. Since then, he's been using his cult to pass down the game from victim to victim, hoping to one day use it to merge the two realms together and rule the human world and other worlds as a god.

It's also noticable if you watch the ost video of this song, you can see ost art of many other characters

I always wonder why so many people always want Bf to end up dying, I mean I can understand to some extent if it's literally just too much plot armor tho I liked how the final song of the Sonic.exe mod ended in Final Escape with Bf somehow going super and Xeno failing yet again. It's probably me just liking to see characters like Sonic.exe getting their ass kicked since I always get tired of the whole I AM GOD thing and him usually being made out to be someone who seems to be completely invincible.

Hell someone could just make a character capable of beating seemingly omnipotence beings like Sonic.exe in his world and there they can beat omnipotence beings just like how one of the fnf devs made Bf and Gf capable of that feat. If exes like Lord X can be said to have unlimited abilities/power then nothing is exactly stopping someone from making their own character be that powerful.

I feel as though the section where Xeno starts singing, 4:57 , could be done better. The lyrics are so off tune and kinda ruins the cover for me.
Tails' chromatic also kinda caught me off guard. I'd prefer the original chromatic.
Also, I'm just getting nitpicky here, but the intro of the song could be the Sonic continue screen instead of the Mario lose life theme, and the ending could be the Sonic game over theme instead of the Mario one.

Originally, Grimbo was a funny name for Xenophanes' 3.0 sprites, but Cherribun, one of the artists for the OG mod, eventually made them into her own character, she called Grimbo. He did have an official Twitter (though it is now deleted), where "he" would post all sorts of outta pocket stuff.
Funnily enough, this song’s tone fits Xenophanes.

I Really want someone to do this but with a new EXE like Horror Sonic instead of Horror Mario so basically a Sonic that was imprisoned just like Mario in the original version of the story and you guessed it yes Daddy Dearest did that he was the one who trapped Mario in the game world in the original mod and yes his name is literally Horror Mario so yeah it would literally just be Sonic but gone crazy over time and somehow became a God Titan thing
