Love this pattern! So dainty! I made one using cotton yarn and it was too thick so I made another using artiste size 8 crochet thread and it’s amazing. I had to increase the amount of rows with thread but it turned out great.

Great video. You explained everything in detail and went all the way through the pattern. I made one with the shells and a second one I just single crocheted around.

Very simple pattern to follow and looks great when finished.
Also, on the increase rows I found it easier to just remember to just go up by one number when trying to figure out the middle stitch. Sorry if that sounds confusing I’ll try to describe it better...
    Row 2- sc 7 , sc 3 increase , sc 7
    Row 4- sc 8 , sc 3 increase, sc 8
    Row 6- sc 9 , sc 3 increase, sc 9
.....etc. I hope that helps. 🙂

I wish I had the whole pattern written like the way you did. Someone once told me that it is good to learn how to read a pattern as well. So I will try to make a pattern of it.

This is a wonderful mask COVER, I wear it over the medical grade mask, it offers a lot of warmth protection over a filtered mask outside.

I love this mask. I made it, using DK yarn and a 3mm hook. I finished it and put it on my face, WAY SMALL!!! This would fit a child's face, not an adults. It was very tight across my face. Perhaps you might wanna label this a child's mask, or maybe add that the crocheter can use a larger hook.... This is just my conclusion.

    • @tinyhousekitchen94
      @tinyhousekitchen94 2 роки тому

I made it using the yarn and hook suggested and it fits like a glove! Im not experienced enough to advice as to what might be going wrong for you but I would encourage you to try again, it is very comfortable to wear and very pretty.

    SC = single crochet
    DC = double crochet
    FACE MASK PATTERN:
    Slip knot
    Rd 1 = chain 14
Rd 2 = insert one SC in the 2nd chain from the hook, make one SC per stitches all the way (total: 13 SC) 0:45
Rd 3 = chain 1, insert hook in BACK LOOP of first SC and create one SC, make one SC in the BACK LOOP of each stitches all the way (total: 13 SC) 1:23
*Note: in every round, you will not start each SC from the chain 1. Start each SC from the first SC of you last round. Every SC will also be from the back loop only.
    _____________________________________________
Rd 4 (INCREASE) = chain 1, make one SC in the BACK LOOP of each stitches until 6th stitch, make 3 SC in the BACK LOOP of 7th stitch, make one SC in the BACK LOOP of 8th stitch until the end (total: 15 SC) 2:30
Rd 5 = chain 1, make one SC in the BACK LOOP of each stitches all the way (total: 15 SC) 4:00
*Note: for the following rounds of increasing, we will follow the pattern of Rd 4 and Rd 5. Like shown below…
    Rd 6 (INCREASE) = chain 1, SC 7, SC 3 in 8th stitch, SC 7 (total: 17 SC)
Rd 7 = chain 1, make one SC per stitches all the way (total: 17 SC) 4:51
    Rd 8 (INCREASE) = chain 1, SC 8, SC 3 in 9th stitch, SC 8 (total: 19 SC)
Rd 9 = chain 1, make one SC per stitches all the way (total: 19 SC) 6:45
    Rd 10 (INCREASE) = chain 1, SC 9, SC 3 in 10th stitch, SC 9 (total: 21 SC)
Rd 11 = chain 1, make one SC per stitches all the way (total: 21 SC) 8:57
    Rd 12 (INCREASE) = chain 1, SC 10, SC 3 in 11th stitch, SC 10 (total: 23 SC)
Rd 13 = chain 1, make one SC per stitches all the way (total: 23 SC) 10:26
    Rd 14 (INCREASE) = chain 1, SC 11, SC 3 in 12th stitch, SC 11 (total: 25 SC)
Rd 15 = chain 1, make one SC per stitches all the way (total: 25 SC) 12:03
Rd 16 until Rd 22 = chain 1, make one SC per stitches all the way (total: 25 SC each round) 13:35
    _____________________________________________
Your work will look like this… 14:10
Rd 23 (DECREASE) = chain 1, SC 11, make one SC with the next 3 stitches (please see 14:54 for detail), SC 11 (total: 23 SC)
Rd 24 = chain 1, make one SC per stitches all the way (total: 23 SC)
    Repeat this pattern.
Rd 25 (DECREASE) = chain 1, SC 10, make one SC with the next 3 stitches, SC 10 (total: 21 SC)
Rd 26 = chain 1, make one SC per stitches all the way (total: 21 SC) 16:53
Rd 27 (DECREASE) = chain 1, SC 9, make one SC with the next 3 stitches, SC 9 (total: 19 SC)
Rd 28 = chain 1, make one SC per stitches all the way (total: 19 SC) 18:51
Rd 29 (DECREASE) = chain 1, SC 8, make one SC with the next 3 stitches, SC 8 (total: 17 SC)
Rd 30 = chain 1, make one SC per stitches all the way (total: 17 SC) 20:12
Rd 31 (DECREASE) = chain 1, SC 7, make one SC with the next 3 stitches, SC 7 (total: 15 SC)
Rd 32 = chain 1, make one SC per stitches all the way (total: 15 SC) 21:23
Rd 33 (DECREASE) = chain 1, SC 6, make one SC with the next 3 stitches, SC 6 (total: 13 SC)
Rd 34 = chain 1, make one SC per stitches all the way (total: 13 SC) 23:06
Rd 35 = chain 1, make one SC per stitches all the way (total: 13 SC) 24:44
    _____________________________________________
    SHELL STITCHES… 24:50 🐚
*Note: here, make normal single crochets, DONT make them with the back loop only.
Chain 1, make one SC in the last stitch of your last round, in the next stitch make 5 DC in that same stitch, skip 2 stitches, in the 3rd stitch make one SC 26:45
In the next stitch make 5 DC in that same stitch, skip 2 stitches, in the 3rd stitch make one SC (repeat this pattern until the end)
*Note: you can modify how many double crochets you want
After your last shell, Skip 2 stitches, in the 3rd stitch make one SC, and then one last SC in final stitch 27:56
    EAR PART👂🏾
Chain 27, insert hook on the first stitch on other side and make one SC 28:21
*Note: you can decide whatever length you like or if you want to make a different design for your ear part.
Repeat pattern for SHELL STITCHES 28:40
End this side with one SC and repeat your pattern for EAR PART 29:50
With your chain, make a slip stitch on the first SC on the other side 30:08
Chain one, pull tight, cut yarn, secure with knots 30:19
Thank you for the tutorial and pattern 🍄❤️
