I'm rather new to crocheting and am really tired of seeing "easy crochet stitch" videos that have me completely confused in mere seconds. This is the opposite! Looks complicated but so easy to do! Thanks for such easy-to-follow instructions and I will be checking out more of your videos!
Oh Sarah, this is so pretty. I love that this looks so incredibly complicated and yet it isn't complicated at all. For now, I will practice by making a set of wash cloths and maybe a hand towel or maybe a set of dish cloths and a hot pad. I like to make something on a smaller scale that is useful to practice with, then I go for a bigger project with it. I could see a pretty sweater or even a sleeveless top with this stitch. A shawl or wrap would be very pretty also.
I absolutely love this stitch, the texture it creates is truly beautiful. I made a scarf a few months ago, and now that I am making another gift scarf, I am again reaching for this pattern. Many thanks for posting it! I am excited to see how it will turn out in laceweight.
Many people have said it, and I agree, this only LOOKS complicated, but is so easy *and* pretty! Made with a fingering yarn, I would bet this would make a lovely shawl or tunic, or with a 3 or 4 weight, a blanket as well. Well done! 🥰
Dear Sarah, now it’s so beautiful color changed leaves and fallen... middle of autumn, and soon to the winter. I made warm neck warmer as following your kind lesson of this magnificent stitch. Thank you so much. ... Jay from Seoul, South Korea
Hello! I love this video and pattern! I am almost done with it for my daughter.. I cannot find how to end the blanket with a straight edge? Is there a video or something I can follow to do that? Thank you so much
I don't know how I missed this a month ago but am so glad I found it! I think this would look a little elegant in white! Yes, no? Thanks, and hope your all well!
So beautiful! Been following your tutorials for a while now, and just realized you are from NS…I am as well, I was born & raised in NS :) love your patterns! Wanted to say hello from the East Coast!
Thank you so much that is beautiful. I make shell stitch all the time but I never would have thought of looping my yarn around the post like that, what a difference that made!
I guess I'm late to the party, but I'm going to use this stitch to make a throw for my Dad. It's taken me a week to find the right stitch pattern!! This is just right, thank you so much. So so many are feminine, which is great, but there is a wide world of men out there that don't want to cuddle under a lacey blanket 🤣
This is a very easy stitch as well as beautiful, your tutorial is very easy to follow and understand. Thank you for sharing, I’m making a baby blanket using this stitch.
Thank you, this is a very pretty stitch. I did a blanket one time that was similar to this, only you made a fpsc around the third dc, chained 3 and into the chain space you made 3dc and that was the repeat. I don’t remember how many were chained or how it really started out. I wish I knew. I had the pattern and I typed it up on the computer and saved it, but some how when I went back to use it next, it didn’t save it. It has just made me sick!! The trash had already been thrown out or I would have been digging in trash! Thank you, NORMA COLLINS FROM TEXAS
How would one finish the design? For instance, I’m using this design for a blanket and was wondering, when I have the right length, how do I make a nice smooth edge to finish it off? Would it be 2 single stitches like at the beginning?
Thank you Very much for this tutorial ❣️ You gave Excellent instructions ❣️ I'm going to make a shawl, using Lion brand mandala baby yarn in the color "echo caves". HAPPY CROCHETING ❣️
I absolutely love this stitch and you’re a great instructor! Thank you. I’ve a question… how can you hide the bottom edge so that it matches the other three sides? Thanks again

The shell stitch is one of my favorites! I’m going to use this to make a shrug for my niece.

How would you make it straight on the last row if I were to use this stitch to make a throw blanket?
