My boyfriend is more of a gamer than I am, but even he said multiple times that I'm better at games than he is. So yes, women can definitely play and play well. The better question is 'Do they want to?' For me, the answer is yes. Experiencing games like Zelda Breath of the Wild or Ori and the Blind Forest for the first time is a magical experience.

As both an athlete and moderately competitive gamer I would strongly agree, because while they’re demanding in different ways, they’re both very demanding at high level. When it comes to competing against other human players, the amount of skill and dedication required evens out between all mediums because no matter if it’s video games or sports, as long as there’s a big competitive community, the players will push each other to put in the most effort possible.
