Hope you guys enjoyed regardless!

Answer is :- The one which you can afford.
No. If you can afford every Pixel but barely use your phone?
I mean I can afford all 3 but it's really based on my needs and feature set.

@@Littletime839 The Pixel 5 has a bigger battery and a brighter screen.
I got the standard 4a. After having flagships for years I decided I needed a detox from the flashiness and went for basic.
And it was the best decision ever!
I'm not a high power user (no gaming except for cloud gaming) so didn't need a super fast soc.
Camera is brilliant, price is spot on, build is reassuringly sturdy, so if I drop it I only need to worry about the front panel.
And the size for me is perfect, it's honestly my Goldilocks phone.
That's what I'm thinking. I have the one plus 7 pro but I've had 4 flagships and there over kill for what I need. As long as it's relatively smooth and comes with a good screen and decent battery that's all that matters. And with all these phones there's no need to worry about the software updates. That in itself is worth it
@@midnitestate if you want a detox from the bigger and flashy phones, the standard 4a is definitely a nice, compact but relatively roomy screen size for its body mass. It's snappy on Android 11, I've not noticed many hiccups (there's been a few but like one or two a week) but do wonder how future updates will affect it.
It's nice and light too. My old phones but a strain on my wrist after a while. I do love picking up my phone and not thinking it's a small tank.
dude I did my detox on the 4a too... Best decision ever. I LOVE the phone coming off the OP 8 Pro
guys, im going to follow this thread. Keep me posted on how you guys like the 4a! Im thinking about getting the 4a 5g for future proofiing and bigger battery
@@shakealhuggins4387 sounds good if you want a slightly bigger phone. I was going to go for it but was really drawn to the compact size. But the 4a 5g was very tempting. Don't think you can go wrong with it.
You're getting much better in your videos..
Way to go man!
It's like Orlando Bloom and Joseph Gordon Levitt in one person
You mean Quentin Tarantino son 😂
Yup, add him too lol

I've been living with my 4a for about 2 months now and I absolutely absolutely love it, decent batter, pretty good camera and literally for $350 it's the best I could find in that price range
Can you please confirm If the display has slightly warmer tone to it? More noticable when indoors.
@@hs2368 eh I never notice anything really
@@Catboy. thanks for letting me know...
Could you give more details on that "decent" battery? Thanks
how is the sound on the wireless headphones?
That was very helpful!! Thanks Android authority 🤙
The video i was looking for. Thank !!
That was a really good overview. Thanks!
Important to point out, some of the price difference with the Pixel 5 relates to it having 8GB of RAM. I own a Pixel 2 and no Pixel after the 2 has had more than 6GB of RAM. It's been a physical spec that's stopped me from upgrading for over a year now. I like my phones to last ~3 years and 2 GB of RAM more than a Pixel 2(4GB) was not cutting it. Happy to say I ordered a Pixel 5 😛
6gb of ram is plenty, nobody keeps 20 or more apps in the background, 4a is best value but 5 is terrible value when 4a 5g exists
@@alrightythen888 Bullshit. 6GB is more than enough. More than 6 almost isn't used by the software. You can manually Change that on the most phones but IT drains the battery way too much keeping every App Open.
The normal 5-8 App I use much are always open and why do I want 20 Apps open in the Background?
@@alrightythen888 I've used s10e and pixel 4a both with6gb , I've had no problems
The way the OS and popular apps work now, 6GB is plenty, the reason to go with 8GB is future proofing. I'm just confident 8GB will last me 3 years minimum, 6GB...maybe 🤷♂️
@@earnistse4899 Which would you say is better between s10e, pixel 4a, and 4a 5G?? I'm thinking of buying a refurbished s10e because it's the price and compact size of the 4a but with an ultra-wide camera and a godly chipset. Are the s10e cameras decent? Its ultra wide shots look distorted in examples I've seen.
I got the 3aXL in 2019 and I love it, still not ready for an upgrade but I really want the Google Pixel 6 when it comes.
I have the 3a. Should've gotten the 3a XL for the battery. It's currently holding up 90% of the charge.
Me watching on a pixel 4a. I'm really loving the software and camera is at supreme level. Just wanted IP rating or a bit better processor but I'm loving it, all the pixel exclusive features
There is a water test vid on the pixel 4a youcan search in youtube, it still has good water protection.
Man bought the 4a on day one the best phone decision I've made. Especially considering that I'm not a mobile gamer this phone is perfect. Fast updates, clean os and excellent camera! Great buy.
Bro, what's your average SOT?
I like keeping my phones for a long time (3+ years) just to reduce waste. So the 8GB of RAM in the 5 points to it being the most future proof out of the bunch. Sure, 6GB is fine now (I'm not a gamer), but 8 GB would be able to handle anything that's thrown at it. As long as the battery looks to be well apportioned when I'm ready to buy, I'll be eyeballing it when those price reductions hit.
I got the 4a 5g. It has a fingerprint sensor and headphone jack, but it also has the same camera and chip as the pixel 5
So doea all the phones of Google Pixel 4yr ago :)
@@rafayshaikh2497 Yes, pixel definitely has to improve their chipset, refresh rates and betteries. It's as if they're making cameras with phone rather than the other way around. They're leaving the fundamentals.
@@AnushkaSingh-ez8by the battery and refresh rate (for flagship at least) is absolutely solid on the phones. We don’t need the most powerful chipsets anymore especially with stock android that has no bloatware and nothing demanding except some hardcore ‘mobile’ gaming which not many people really do.
@@donkey7921 no the chip is improved and the processing of the image has also improved :)
Went from a Galaxy S8+ to a 4a and not looked back yes It would be nice to have an IP rating and wireless charging but I don't miss it. 0-50% charge in around 30 minutes is good enough for me. Battery lasts me a day. 128GB storage Great phone at a fantastic price
Great content like always David-And android authority🙂.....thanQ for the video and takecare......
Lots of users are complaining about heat issue on reddit. But no youtube reviewer mentioned it. It got me thinking, do they actually use the phone continuously for 6-7 days? Or only some units has that issue?
Your hand definitely has many pixels, good quality!

Nice Video! I'm looking for the best camera + video for my work, which pixel you suggest to buy for it? Thank you.
🙏 I'd really be interested in a battery comparison between all the Pixel 4 & 5 models!
Bought the 4a two days ago for 302€. Had before my Nokia 8, also nice. But the simple experience of the Pixel is great. And with the Microsoft Launcher it add useful things on top with a nicer design. Love the combination.
This is Barney before he met Ted and Marshal.
Damn I feel old making that reference
It was like a lifetime ago since I read a himym reference
I got the pixel 4a I had to wait a week which isn't that much but it was worth the wait. It usually lasts me 12 hours, battery time depends on your usage. I haven't had any problems with the phone getting hot at all.
The battery life on the Pixel 4xl Is pretty good. I normally get around 7hrs screen on time in a 24hr period. Sometime pushing 8hrs.
That's it? My iPhone 1 gets 16 days on screen time ...pfft....
Lol I cant think about all those background noise. i was just trying to figure out what the voices in the background were saying😀.Had to watch a second time to concentrate on the video. Amazing video btw.
On Amazon both 4 and 4 xl can easily be grabbed for around 300-450 renewed.
You look like Joseph Gordon Levitt. Great video btw!
I'm in SA and 5G is still way off, Pixel 4a is definitely my next phone
It isn't just 5g, the specs are better, bigger display, bigger battery and still has a headphone jack
David with the Drake look.. great video
I had the Pixel 3a for a year and a half then I got the Pixel 4a because it was even cheaper than the Pixel 3a and I was very impressed with the Pixel 3a it never missed a beat or slowed down. I Pre Ordered the Pixel 4a 5G because I want a 5G phone to keep up with the time's without putting out too much money plus I wanna keep the headphone jack too.
Best display and camera quality
I just got me a Pixel 4 last week.
It was a great deal, accessories are now super cheap and I just love how modern and mature Android feels now. Not a single force close so far. 🙌
Good choice
It's still winner in 2021
Could you to a speaker test, comparison. Thanks
Great to be back
Hey! Does pixel 4a5g feel much bigger than regular 4a??
I want to buy a compact phone, but as far as I understand pixel 4a5g has much better audio speakers and also wide angle camera which is really nice to have.
I weighed my options and I chose the 4a number one because of the price but also time it is mainstream I'll be ready for anyway.and the ultra wide camera thing which is the only standout feature that I see cuz I don't care about wireless charging I have phones with wide-angle cameras and I realized I never use that feature. So yeah I love my little 4a....it's nice to have a phone that's not huge... good vid, peace.
I love this freaking phone, got rid of my Note 20 Ultra for this phone and it was definitely worth it! This just works flawlessly, battery life is awesome, size I thought was too small at first, but actually seems perfect! Thought the processor might not be enough, seems faster than my note though?! Wtf?! How can it be? SOFTWARE! Nothing comes close to clean, crisp, and user friendly stock Android! I'll never leave the Pixel line again. My pixel 4 took better photos than my note!!!
Put time stamps in your description like ZolloTech does. Knowing where the beginnings of the different phone reviews are works be helpful. Great content.

Best review of all 3 thank you
I wish the Pixel 5 had an XL version i.d be in to get one
I love my 3 XL a lot but thought I might upgrade guess I'll be checking next year's phone
How has been battery life been after 2 years?
Honestly if I were to factory reset I'm sure it would be better
But it's not bad enough for me to complain and with Covid...
I can't say how bad it truly is since I'm home so much now and use my chromecast daily
But as for speed of the phone I have a lot going on and no hiccup's ever
I went from the pixel 3 xl to the the the 4xl and I absolutely love my 4xl... However 3xl takes better pictures then 4xl, 4a, and 5
Awesome review bruh ... but tell me plsss if ur chocie pixel which pixel you choice ...? 💥💯 tell me if u have some time
Hi... Absolutely I right... Google pixel is valuable phone... Good design and performance... Good presentation ... Clarity and Clear review
Great vid, just wondering are they any differences in the speaker quality? thanks!
I bought the 4a when it came out. I like because it has all the "old" features; fingerprint sensor, flat display, headphone jack. It's simple and in size and use. It's my 1st Pixel so what impresses me now is Google's call screening software. Easily the best part of the phone along with fast updates.
I can't afford either, so i just came to watch the video 😭
I just got the pixel 5 from best buy for $500 on black friday!!!
Almost 2 years in my 4xl still has all day battery life. The thing literally had the same battery life as an s10 +
How does the camera compare with the TX-1 and the 645?
got myself the 5, so far, super satisfied
a bit of an info here
the 4a5g for 499$ has different 5g network(?) than the 5
for the same 5g network as the pixel 5, it costs 599$ which brings the price difference to only 100$ from the pixel 5
Have you had any problems with it? I keep hearing that some heating issues is something that keeps happening
And what about the screen issues in P5? You should have mention it... it's a real problem !
Waiting for pre-order 4a 5g on November
I’d go for the 4 xl...bigger better screen..QHD.better chip..snapdragon 855, google neural chip, no big punch hole, good used versions cheaper.
Better build, same camera hardware/software. 5g useless for most at the moment. Decent battery life for me around 6 hours sot.always on display on, dark mode on, motion sense off, 90hz forced on all the time. Perfect.
Earphone jack on mid- to lowrange phones makes perfect sense. For everyday use those are the people that still use wired earbuds.
I just can't see why you wouldn't want a headphone Jack tbh, it just gives you an option for wired headphones / aux
You just pissed off every audiophile
Idk I just like the convenience of being able to keep using the same headphones I've had the last five years without worrying about an aging battery lol
How is the battery on 4a5g vs 4a?
Watching from my pixel 3XL. It has not disappointed.
Same
Same ... 3XL
Watching this on my Pixel 3 XL. Been an amazing phone ❤️
You can watch videos with that bathtub notch?
@@tylersmith4265 you get use to it tbh
Google said they didn't make a lot of the Pixel 5. On the Google Store, it's sold out. Google store in Canada. Looks like the US is still got it in stock for preorder.
Edit: Never mind. The original preorder sold out quick. Appears the second preorders for December is a go.
Does anybody have a screen size comparison photo for the 4a, 4a5G, and 5??
I LOVE my pixel 4a! It's my first contract phone in 5 years
My Pixel 2 XL just won't die so I am sticking with it. Other than stuttering animations from time to time it's been a perfect phone. Maybe next year
0:00 can you share that wallpaper please?
Perhaps I am wrong, but it's more common for headphone jacks on cheaper phone because they lack the waterproof/dust ratings of higher end phones. Apparently its more expensive to waterproof an earphone jack, plus it takes more room needed for waterproofing materials. Also companies like Apple rather use their propriety tech to make more money of licensing.
I bought a Razer Phone 1, for 130 euro in New state.
120hz 90hz 60hz ultra motion display
Snapdragon 835 from 2017 still running most games flawlessly.
4000mah battery
Front facing speakers
Its Huge !!!!! Only side effect but great for gaming.
Second hands high end phones is where people should look at.
Maby security updates are not the best anymore, but there is always ways to fix that.
Nokia 9 Pureview is cheap to find to and had manny updates so far.
I need best primary camera, pls suggest which one to buy in 2021
I still dont understand this "bad battery life" on the 4 XL. I have the 128gb Google Pixel 4XL with android 11 and the battery life is pretty nice! Granted its new to me. I recently turned it on and started using it brand new and the battery life is awesome. So far.
What is the battery life like on the Pixel 4a?
What would your suggestion be if I'm looking to upgrade my pixel 2?
Pixel 4a 5G or Pixel 5. Don't bother with Pixel 4a.
The only different I would consider for buying the pixel 4a 5g vs the regular 4a is the ultra wide camera, but does anyone now if the ultra wide camera is worth 120 euro extra?
Im still rocking the 3a XL... Would upgrade but i need a later model but in XL size with a headphone jack.. sounds like i should go with the Pixel 4a 5G!.. or maybe wait until the come out with 5a 5G.. Too many options... Help!
I got pixel 5 and i love it and 5 is my fav number 😁
I still don't know what to pick.. hahaha. My pixel 2 just started having charging issues. budget isn't an issue but idk if I'm wasting money if I grab the 5 or 4a 5g?
Yeah same boat. I think the 4a is the winner because of the size
Got pixel 5 and love it battery life is on another level 8hrs sot consistently and superb camera still the best on any smartphone today imo you cannot notice it's got the lesser Snapdragon in best pixel to date by far
How are the speakers. Can you hear video calls easily or you use ear buds.
@@mansisayal9510 sound could be better when playing music etc but for calls and UA-cam there fine also pretty loud
lmao, first time I read his name, thought his name was David IMEI
A refurbished pixel 4XL is also very recommendable! It's faster than all the new pixels, 1440p90 screen. Squeezable, soli, telephoto lens and the battery (of the XL) is pretty good. You can find refurbished 128GB ones for about $500 bucks on ebay which is worth considering.
Oh and the pixel 5 doesn't have any special hardware, meaning that all software features (like portrait light, stabilization etc) can run on the 4 easily.
Downsides are no 5g, only 2 years worth of updates left, battery, no wide angle, face unlock (though I'm less annoyed by it by actually using it)
Still loving my Pixel 3XL...Considering the 4XL as it has a superior processor, build and display to the rest. I can live with 6gigs of ram as the 8 gigs on the 5 is cancelled out by the inferior processor...yep, that would be the best choice.
Is this environmental friendly?
Does anyone know when the pixel 4a 5G will be launched in India?
I got a used Pixel 4XL absolute steal compared to the other phones.
If you want a longer firmware (software) updates, always buy the latest model... that's the golden rule!
My Pixel 3a XL still chugging and makes me wonder why get any of these aside from maybe the 5.
I got the pixel 5 and I love it
I'm buying the S21 plus this week but these phones are in the back of my head and I've already had a few S series phones, I need help!
If you can find a mint condition pixel 4 or 4xl for around 200£.. id say go for that over any of the new models. You will get better cpu performance, proper face Unlock, a premium haptic motor, and some other little bits
I have a 2XL should I get a 4a?
or get a pixel 3 on Amazon renewed for $200... similar camera quality/ip67/wilreless charging/android 11/snapdragon 845 similar or faster than 4a or 5
That's what I'm rocking. Great phone, I have no complaints
I got the pixel 4 64 gb for 525 AUD which is like $370 in March this year. So just wait for bargain deals on pixels.
I think 90hz screen on pixel 5 is kinda worth it overtime cuz it will make your phone feel smooth overtime with the pixel software and 5g but just wait couple of months till the price drops
I just got my Pixel 5 Wednesday and the fabric case yesterday and I can honestly say this is so far the best Pixel phone I've experienced (I've had 1&3XL). Looks so slick and everything feels buttery smooth. Kinda sad it's smaller than the 4A 5g... Weird right? But It just feels so right especially with making use of the full 6 inch screen. And also Verizon's trade in deal made it even sweeter! 😉
Oh yeah if anyone is curious the battery life is amazing compared to my 3XL that needed charging quite a bit. Smart choice on the CPU Google! 👍
tell me your experience with the 3 XL i want to purchase one
I really like 4XL because everything I see in 5 and 4A was in 4XL from the beginning.
Pixel 4XL is still the latest true flagship from Google. 855 will hold up well even in a couple of years. Haptics, sound, and screen is better than the 5, also camera because of the Neural core except for the ultrawide. Battery has gotten better with updates. So it's clear :)
I just bought a refurbished pixel 3 from Google for $260. Qi charging, great processor, same camera. Win.
Oneplus 8 on promo for €500 would be my choice. But I do not really need an upgrade right now, my LG G6 is still running fine. Would I like an upgrade,? Yes, but I do not need one and as a student, I do not have €500 lying around...
Due to the pandemic and losing a job for 7 months this year, i have to sell my S10 Plus back in April. Now i finally got a job and working again, thinking about getting an old Pixel 3. Do you think Pixel 3 will still do well in 2020-2021?
Pixel 3 is absolutely awesome but there will only be support for another year on it.
Short answer: The one you can afford
