I was already leaning towards the pixel due to feel in hand, size, even bezels, etc. But here in canada, the pixel is 799, the s20fe is 950, and the oneplus is 1100. I cannot justify getting the other two at that price when I know I'll like the feel of the pixel more.

Camera quality, battery life and software updates are everything to me. It's why I pre-ordered my pixel 5 and it was the phone I've been waiting for :)
I have a Pixel 2 and purposely skipped the 4 for several reasons (namely, removing the Finger Print Scanner). Now I'm eligible for a free upgrade and I'm leaning towards the Pixel 5. Never really swayed by Samsung.
I went from the pixel 2 to the pixel 4. I do miss the fingerprint sensor, especially because right now, when I'm out, I'm wearing a mask, but the face unlock works really well. Still, I like what pixel is doing by not running after the competition. I think both the 4a and the 5 are good offerings.
@@tyrosine87 some other reviewer claimed over half the features on the 5 are bad, yet everyone else says they're alright. Thing is, I'm usually swayed by the software and the experience, and less by the cameras and the need for gaming.

I feel like Google is the only company that makes your "smartphone" every year smarter. Last year call dranscribing, now hold for me. While all the other companies this year our phone is the fastest its ever been and has a better camare then last year.
Absolutely. My most used phone feature of all time is call screening. With the amount of robocalls now-a-days, call screening is by far the most useful feature i've ever seen in a phone. Hold for me is the next level of that and all of that in a phone that still takes amazing photos and has the cleanest OS of all phones.
OnePlus 8t has no official water resistance, no wireless charging, no reverse wireless charging, and it's huge. With worse software and a slightly worse camera. People are burying the Pixel 5 as if it's a terrible phone. It performs great and has a great battery and a great camera and great software. And finally a small phone! I'm excited to review it in the next few weeks!
You sir, just got a subscriber. I feel like after a week, you cant make a true review. I use to like ios but tried pixel and wow. Pixel does android wonders.
The OnePlus 8t UW is rated IP68, using the Ingress Protection rating system. The dust rating is 6 (highest level of protection), and the water resistance rating is 8 (water-resistant up to 5 feet for up to 30 minutes). So don't tell people this when it's not true.
@@CBRRR-sz9xv please see the verge article www.theverge.com/platform/amp/21514174/oneplus-8t-review This isn't the only article. While it could have some resistance, lacking the certification is a big key!

The Pixel 5 is a good phone, but overpriced. $599 would have been more in line with the hardware. I would say that Oxygen OS is great - I even prefer it over vanilla. As for the camera, the Pixel is clearly ahead of the OnePlus, even if you sideload Google's camera.
The price for the Pixel is different for different regions as well. For example: In Europe the Pixel is 600€ and the OnePlus 8t (128GB, 8GB RAM) 600€ as well
Google Pixel 5 - Just got this baby! This is a great buy and there's nothing to regret. Most importantly, call quality is just fine. Nothing to worry about but of course I have had better. If you are willing to buy this phone, go and get it. The Adaptive Sound option also improves speaker quality but not the call quality. However, call quality is pretty ok. I have used in quiet, noisy environments and found nothing wrong. Thanks.
I made the switch to iPhone and for the most part I’ve enjoyed it. Sure there’s limitations vs android, however iOS works flawlessly and everything integrates perfectly, even just connecting headphones.
I bought the 12. 12 pro and 12 pro max. Tried all three returned the 12 pro and 12 pro max cause I barely saw a difference between the 12 and pro and the pro max was two big for my little hands and I'm a mom so it was hard to use while holding a baby. Then I went and bought the pixel 5. My first pixel/android and I absolutely love it I have been using it since I bought it three weeks ago and haven't picked up my iphone 12. I love that I can take my case off my pixel if I want to actually feel the phone cause it feels awesome in the hands and it's durable. But I did purchase a later case and it comes today so I'm excited to see how it feels with that on it.
I'm an Apple fanboy and I still love what they're doing, and I've always hated Pixel except for their camera technology. But this is the first time I've loved what Google has done. Nobody needs a *POWERFUL CORE I9/RYZEN THREADRIPPER PROCESSOR ON YOUR PHONE* . Yes Pixel 4a 5G and 5 both share the same chipset and it's underpowered compared to the flagship but it's powerful enough for what you do on your phone. With Pixel 5, your getting premium build quality, a smaller form factor compared to 4a(in my opinion, a win) and also has wireless charging.
I think that the Pixel 4a 5G is being slept on. Many reviewers are reporting that it has better haptics AND dual speakers than the 5 (for $200 less). So I differ that the Pixel 5 is premium just for the feel in the hand. It lacks not only specs, but some aspects that might not be the best in the long term for an "enthusiast". Maybe for Austin it's not the case but he has a secondary device as an iPhone, that's why he's fine buying a $700 phone with many compromises. He uses 2. 😂
I agree there isn't much to choose between the 4A 5G. The 5 does have the advantage of being available a month earlier, as well as wireless charging and water resistance rating. But when both handsets are readily available, unless you specifically need the few extras in the 5, then the 4A 5G is the smart process. As for "enthusiast" - that may well be the case. But there are an awful lot of people out there who just want a good, affordable phone. Spam protection in the dialer, assistant waiting on hold, transcriptions, shortcut access to Pay, etc. - these are all useful features for the majority of the market, and it's good to see them available on phones positioned for that market, and not just the preserve of those willing to pay for the highest (and in many cases unnecessary) specs.
The pixel 5 is only $100 more than the 4a 5G everywhere in the world except the US. And that's thanks to Verizon and their stupid mm-wave 5G radios. The US customers got fucked. At $599 this pixel 5 is fantastic value
I think Google should make the pixel 5 for enthuasists with larger battery, better sensors and all the bleeding edge technologies while 4a/5g for average consumers but it's Google and they don't care about us consumers... They want to prove their software is powerful even though they used not so good hardwares
@@BlizzardWind99 Why would they do that? How many enthusiast are gonna buy it? It's a business decision and when the 3a out sold other pixel models the business decision was made.
I'm definitely happy I bought the pixel 5, I was uncertain about it when the 8T came out but now I've got the pixel 5 I don't regret it at all. I absolutely love stock android and the google pixel 5 has pretty much everything I need in a phone. Specs definitely aren't everything if the user experience is great!
glad you're happy w it. so the sound is satisfactory? I've been thinking bout getting this but sound getting so-so reviews. Also, are you going to put a case on this? not sure I will if I get one.
I opted for the Pixel 5 because all I needed was a phone that was easy to open, good camera and ran apps. I didn't need radar controlled wavy gestures. I didn't need it for games. Plus it does wireless charging and the battery lasts forever. Finally, it's not iPad in size. Sensible specs, sensible price. Fantastic upgrade from the Pixel 2 for me.
I have had a huawei mate 20 pro for 2yrs now. The battery is still excellent and lasts as long as it did when new, it has super charging. Unlike samsungs which the battery seems to lose capacity after a year and after that would barely last half a day.
The comment about comparing top specs to flagship reminded me of when the Moto X came out. Great size shape and feel and customizable and was marketed as the flagship despite a lower end processor for the time
I have the OnePlus 7T and initially I loved it, but now I can't stand it. It's heavy and uncomfortable. It's too big. I'm so ready to switch to a smaller phone.

I enjoyed your video and comparison analysis. I was equally impressed with your studio layout, lighting, and excellent audio. I have designed a studio as a hobby, and yours' is a stand-out. Onward: As an Apple product consumer since 1983, I'm acclimated to spending considerable resources on technology. Being a hobbyist product reviewer, I decided to order the Pixel 5 combined with a $2K+ start-up Andriod ecosystem for comparative analysis to my Apple gear. I received no freebies or perks from Google or NEST; just a personal unvarnished assessment.
Yeah, I had a powerful and large gaming phone with a super powerful chip and I just switched to a Pixel 5. It has been a great switch so far and just feels so natural.
So true I pulled my trigger on Pixel 5 two days ago for the same reason We're at the point where, you don't need the newest most sophisticated chipset to have a good experience on your phone 765G is definitely enough for me for my daily use (email, social, camera, etc) I have no reason to push myself for extra power that I don't need Though I do have an extra phone (Xiaomi Mi Mix 3) that can still run video games perfectly incl. In Canada the pixel 5 is priced to $799 cad (600 usd), while the 8t is $1,099 (almost 850 usd). So while Pixel is more expensive in the US than 8T, in Canada it is a lot cheaper ($300 CAD).
It's all well and good to have a phone that charges super fast until the battery life disappears faster. I'd rather have the 18w charge for the longevity
I agree 1000%. I just went to a Best Buy and held the Pixel 5 and the iPhone 12 in my hand. There was no comparison. The iPhone was slippery, shiny, and covered with fingerprints. It looked like a piece of costume jewelry, especially in gold. The Pixel was comfortable, grippy and felt terrific in my hand. No comparison!
Funny how 90hz was the most sacred of all things sacred not that long ago, but now its a "half step". I just think this high refresh madness is starting to get blown out of proportion.
@@fish-j5q Yes, exactly. Of course, I think it's an amazing feature. But to use it as some sort of end-all-be-all in a purchasing decision, or to literally nitpick at how many times a phone's screen refresh in attempt to call it better, and therefore, more worth it, is just ridiculous to me.
This seems to be the trend. I remember when everyone would say, I just want a good camera I don't care about anything else.... Same thing with battery, and now refresh rate. By the way all things slightly above the rest in the pixel 5 minus refresh rate which is still better than 60.
Have you used a high refresh rate display on a phone? It definitely feels much smoother and if you try to back to 60hz it feels very choppy. It's not a super necessary thing to have but if a phone costs more than $500 it absolutely should have it.
I just got myself the Pixel 5 coming from a Pixel 2 XL. When my 2 died on me, I had a tough time deciding if the 5 was a good enough phone as a daily driver. I watched so many reviewers talked about how the midrange SD wasn't great and how bad the speakers were, etc etc. I'm a Pixel user and had trouble believing that the 5 was going to be good enough for me. Fortunately I decided to remain true and pulled the trigger on the 5. After just 24 hours of use, I was astounded at how good this phone is. It was everything my 2 was to me and MORE! The exceptional feel of the size of the phone in the hand (same screen real estate as the 2) only a tad bit smaller due to the shrunken bezels. That slight size difference made a ton of difference in the hand to the point the 5 is what I would consider a one-handed phone. Absolutely love this phone and I firmly believe the folks at Google made the sensible choices here.
@@derekwright5722 Not quite, the main frame of the device is 100% recycled aluminum. The coating on top of the aluminum is the Bio-resin which is the entire back. Trust me, I'm using the device right now 😜
@@andrewnlaidlow well yes, that's correct. I know the bioresin covers the whole frame but it is only a small cutout in the aluminum for the charging coil. Think we both just misunderstood what the other was saying 😅
I've tried saying this since last year. It's gotten to the point that performance on all phones is good enough. This is even more so if you're not gaming on it. I just want a phone that fits in my hand nicely and isn't huge anymore. Google and Apple are probably going to sell a ton of their phones simply because they're going back to a smaller size.
So this is the video that convinced me to buy the pixel 5. I've been seeing more and more youtubers I follow move into the pixel 5. Everything I've heard about it has been in the real of "Yes it could be better and cheaper but it's still so good and I don't need the best for twice the price"
Austin makes a perfect point around 14:00. I don't buy a new phone anymore because I need the highest end processor etc. The Pixel is sufficient for my needs at a decent price.
I switch between phones all the time but I always feel comfortable with my pixel 4. The battery is kinda lame but I don't use it heavily anyways so the phone is just fantastic to me.
People are craving about 65 w charging but forgetting about the physical battery health by charging with it lol. There's a reason why apple doesn't jump on anything fast before they can really perfect it.
I have a OP8 and my friend has a Pixel 5. We both think the photos often aren't noticeably different. Even night mode shots are close. Sometimes his pics come out a little better, sometimes mine do. We've even blind tested friends. It's all a matter of preference. OP does like to expose more and saturate pics because the average person tends to prefer brighter, more saturated pictures. Using the Gcam port fixes those processing issues. I use it a lot on my OP8. I would rather have a OP8 with fewer, better camera sensors and/or a lower price though.
Austin Evans is really cool he has his main channel which is like a normal youtube video stuff and This Is is like a podcast video hybrid and then he has the test drivers which is a podcast. Out of all the people who work with Austin, Matt is my favorite
The ONLY thing holding me back is the speakers. And the only thing holding me back from the 4A 5G, which has better speakers, is the water resistance and battery. They were so close. Idk.
The battery life is going to be the same as the 5. Slightly smaller but 60hz instead of 90hz will balance out. I wouldn't worry about that. Also water resistance is nice but just put a plug in the usb c port and don't drop it in a pool and you'll be totally fine.
All phone speakers are total gash. If you are going to listen to anything in any serious way it's a non issue, and not one that should make or break any buying decision. You should be connected to something that doesn't sound like a 1000 bees in a beer can not phone speakers.
My Pixel 5 arrives TODAY, can't wait. But I'm honestly still happy with my Pixel 2 that I'm using right now. Im stoked to have my hair blown back when I try the new Pixel that is 3 generations above what I currently have!
Hey Austin, there is an issue being thrown around that the Pixel 5’s rear finish is rubbing away in the corners after just a few days use when not using a case. Hows yours holding up?
ever since the Pixel 3(small) I've wanted to stick with a small phone. So thin/small and light and drops right in an out of the front pocket of a shirt or jeans... and the pixel 4a and 5 are even smaller. Oneplus just needs to sell a mini version.. which I'm sure they will now.
First thing I noticed when I got my pixel 5 out of the box was it weighs nothing! This is a phone I can put in my pocket when I go for a run and I won't notice it. I could never say that about my old Hauwei mate 20 pro.
Definitely been my experience with the Pixel 5, I just use it and I'm like this is great, it's just so balanced and has everything I expect out of a smartphone.
The Pixel 4a and 5 are like that one charismatic person that is self assertive, friends with everyone and at the same time keeps to themselves and is a lil bit shy
For me this direction makes more sense for Google. It goes back to the Nexus program days where Google releases a device to showcase the software. A capable device with some compromises and the best pure Android experience on the market. The difference now being Pixels have marketing and carrier support where the Nexus was aimed at enthusiasts. I like this direction and hope they stay with it.
I haven't had the pleasure of touching one yet, but the description of the back texture sounds exactly like powder coating. a lot of more expensive travel mugs use it.
Am I the only one who could care less about 5g? I'm still buying the pixel 5, but if it didn't have 5g I couldn't care less. 4g has seemed to be plenty fast for me.
I'm confused. I was gonna hit you with "couldn't* care less" but then you wrote it correctly in the second line. Were you unsure of the correct phrasing so you decided to write it twice and hope to get full marks for at least one being right? Anywho, I totally agree about 5G. Absurdly I might be getting Pixel 4a 5G, not because I give a rat's ass about 5G, but because I want a god damn ultra-wide camera in my 4a (and pixel 5 is too expensive). My only concern is I'm not sure Pixel 4a 5G is small enough for one handed use :(
@@Henry14141 Thanks for the recommendation. I didn't realise pixel 5 would be reduced since it's only just come out, but people in these comments seem to reckon it will be. I'll look it up now.
Because 5G has not rolled out to so many countries including India, Google has not even considered launching pixel 4A 5G and pixel 5 in India altogether! If it had been available in India, I would have bought it right away. Would not even look at other competitors.
there is no reason to buy any oneplus phones anymore. they cost as much as the big boys now and are significantly inferior. from intangibles like feel to actual quality of life features like good haptics, good design, etc. plus cameras are shit.
Cameras (except the $900+ 8 Pro), lack of IP rating, no wireless charging, increased prices while others are getting cheaper and super slow updates after the first year make OnePlus phones very hard to recommend anymore. Maybe if you can get the Nord in your region for super cheap that makes sense but the higher end phones just can't compete anymore. The S20 FE killed all higher end phones and the new Pixel line is taking care of the budget and stock Android crowd. Oneplus needs to match the S20FE in features or just make the Nord available everywhere for $400 and actually update the thing within 6 months after the newest Android version comes out.
I already own OnePlus 7pro and camera is no where near Pixel. Not to mention Oxygen OS is something I don’t like much. With Oxygen OS 11, departure is far from Vanilla Android. OS updates take for ever. I’m done with OnePlus
@@krishind99 yep I'm with you. I'll wait until next year and hopefully the next version of the 4a 5G just adds 90hz for the same $499 price I'm hopping on it.
Agreed: it is baffling that you have to ask "which type of 5G does this phone have?" Rather than just "Does this have 5G?" Let alone the fact that there are so many places that still don't have 5G. Simply put, it's not ready for everyone yet and I'm not to fond of the overselling of 5G when a ton of people cannot even utilize it.
Good review. I'll confess I'm an old guy, not super techie. I've still got the Pixel 2 and it's working great. The camera is light years ahead of what used to be just a few years ago. I see they haven't changed it that much but honestly, how much more realistic can a photo be? And a great night camera as well. You get to the point where you start asking yourself, do I really need my phone to be faster, or is reliability a better thing? I like the Pixel because it seems to be a less "cluttered" version of Android. When this one finally goes away I think I'll get another Pixel.
I totally agree about how a phone feels. I have a 4A and it's the first phone (since my BlackBerry Passport) I don't need a case for. I got a case for my S7 Edge and S9+ because they felt too slippery. The 4A feels like it already has a case. I'd call the finished rubberized.
The thing for 5 g that is big for me is that I happen to be in one of the cities that has rolled it out. Living in Atlanta I have noticed signal issues not having a 5g phone so for me that is really nice I still get to make a choice between any phone I want without feeling like I'm stuck for two more years in 4G hell in a city that's moved on.
Software is the most important facet of a phone for me. And Google's Android for the Pixel is hands down the best way to experience Android. Nobody offers an experience that's so simple and just works like Google's. A phone that's actually smart and has almost everything the way you want it out of the box.
The 1st and 2nd gen non-XL Pixels were $649. I think $699 is pretty reasonable considering the upgrades since then. I know the 5 doesn't have a headphone jack.
"We need to stop tying flagship to a premium phone" THIS! Glad someone finally said it. Flagship is the head honcho, best of the bunch, top notch. For Samsung, that would be the Ultra's and maybe the Fold and Flip. Apple, its the Pro's. iPhone 11/12 isn't a flagship, but it's still a great (and pricey) phone. I was already leaning towards the pixel due to feel in hand, size, even bezels, etc. But here in canada, the pixel is 799, the s20fe is 950, and the oneplus is 1100. I cannot justify getting the other two at that price when I know I'll like the feel of the pixel more.
It really depends on region but these are the 3 phones to consider right now.
Same! 🇨🇦 Pre-ordered!
How come OnePlus pricier than both. It lacks many stuffs. OnePlus definitely lost their mind lol
@@obidean3964 in the uk the oneplus is £550 and the pixel is £600. It’s only more expensive in some regions where they only sold the 12gb ram 256gb storage model
Are you a student? Samsung has an education store called the "Samsung education store" here in australia which allows any person with a .edu email to sign up and get 20% off. I can use my university login and get the s20fe 5g at $919 and the pixel 5 is being sold for $999 here (All in Australian Dollars). Im a pixel fan but if i had no affiliations the s20fe would be the better deal for us here in Australia.
Who else felt sorry for that pixel 5 when Austin hit it against the table like 10 times ? Minute 2:30 😂
You can see the guy on the right really got pissed off at that
Not me, I want to know how it stands up to me dropping it on the tile kitchen floor.
Im coming from the 2 XL....I just love the fingerprint sensor and camera. Hoping it's worth it...I hate paying for specs that I never use (example ton of cameras). I also hate paying 1k for a damn phone
@@brianhaney5312 I'm with you. I'm not using my camera like I used to, I don't really need telephoto, and I just need stuff to work. It's a toss-up between getting the Pixel 5, or waiting another year. My Pixel 2 is holding up well, but we'll see for how long.
@@incarnateTheGreat I'm on that fence too. I want to upgrade...I think the single thing that's holding me back from running out and purchase..the lack of the neural core. It's been around a while don't think it would have broken the bank to leave it in but then again maybe they couldn't due to the wireless charging 🤷🏼♂️
Hold for me is the next level of that and all of that in a phone that still takes amazing photos and has the cleanest OS of all phones.
atleast at their first try of an edge to edge display, they got it right, a flat symmetrical bezel
So true. Finally a phone that looks great from Google
But Pixel 3 XL?
Yes, I was getting so tired of chungus notches and thiccc bezels!
Looks better than all the iphones too. No big notches or big side bezels.
Pixel 3XL was their first foray into the "edge to edge" style phone...
And that gave us the bathtub notch. 😂😂

For example: In Europe the Pixel is 600€ and the OnePlus 8t (128GB, 8GB RAM) 600€ as well
The Pixel 5 outside the US doesn't have mmWave 5G.
@@GarethGolding Oh, yes. I forgot that. Thanks for pointing that out. Then it does make more sense
Somewhere in Europe. But not in Finland. You can’t buy Pixel at all here. But OnePlus 8T costs 600€ here too.

In Canada it a huge difference
Google Pixel 5 is $800
OnePlus 8t is $1100
I'm really liking these type of reviews . Feels much more casual and genuine
Thanks.
Glad Mat is also a small phone person. I actually want the iPhone 12 mini so badly despite I really hate to get into the Apple ecosystem.
The xperia 5 ii is pretty skinny, though it's tall
@J G I still think my old pixel 3 is too big and my 1st gen iPhone SE barely has any battery capacity XD
If you hate the apple eco system it doesn’t make sense wanting the mini, just get the pixel it’s even cheaper

Finally compact smartphone comeback please
0:00 I think this is the closest to "hey guys this is Austin" we will hear

I just think this high refresh madness is starting to get blown out of proportion.
i feel the same way too. honestly for a phone, i feel like refresh rate isnt as important as it is on a tablet or pc, on which i do most of my work
@@fish-j5q Yes, exactly. Of course, I think it's an amazing feature. But to use it as some sort of end-all-be-all in a purchasing decision, or to literally nitpick at how many times a phone's screen refresh in attempt to call it better, and therefore, more worth it, is just ridiculous to me.
I doubt any "casual" smartphone user would notice the difference between 90hz and 120hz
The back of the phone is Bio-resin, think of it as a plant based epoxy.

I would rather have a OP8 with fewer, better camera sensors and/or a lower price though.
you also cant get onplus in carriers in Canada so the pixel does have the advantage that people can go look at and see for themselves.

The ONLY thing holding me back is the speakers. And the only thing holding me back from the 4A 5G, which has better speakers, is the water resistance and battery. They were so close. Idk.
How still uses phone speakers?
The battery life is going to be the same as the 5. Slightly smaller but 60hz instead of 90hz will balance out. I wouldn't worry about that. Also water resistance is nice but just put a plug in the usb c port and don't drop it in a pool and you'll be totally fine.

ever since the Pixel 3(small) I've wanted to stick with a small phone.

The Pixel 4a and 5 are like that one charismatic person that is self assertive, friends with everyone and at the same time keeps to themselves and is a lil bit shy
I’m very satisfied with this conversation. That’s all.
For me this direction makes more sense for Google. It goes back to the Nexus program days where Google releases a device to showcase the software. there is no reason to buy any oneplus phones anymore. they cost as much as the big boys now and are significantly inferior. from intangibles like feel to actual quality of life features like good haptics, good design, etc. plus cameras are shit.
So there’s a new segment: the ‘Upper Mid-Range’. Bring it on!
High-end
Pixel: we have Snapdragon 765 and 5G for $499
OnePlus nord : am i a joke to you
Yes, it is a joke for Americans coz they can't buy it
Also much better cameras and 3 years of day one updates. I'll pay an extra $100 for that. You do lose 90hz though which sucks.
@@brett2396 you mean 5a 5G? Yeah, you can’t go wrong with it. Never know what stupid decisions google will make for pixel 6. LOL
Agreed: it is baffling that you have to ask "which type of 5G does this phone have?" Rather than just "Does this have 5G?" Let alone the fact that there are so many places that still don't have 5G. Simply put, it's not ready for everyone yet and I'm not to fond of the overselling of 5G when a ton of people cannot even utilize it.
i would totally get the OnePlus 8T... if my carrier actually supported it. Xfinity Mobile in my opinion is complete ass but at least it's cheap.
"This wont be a tech channel,"
Meanwhile on this is
I totally agree about how a phone feels. I have a 4A and it's the first phone (since my BlackBerry Passport) I don't need a case for. I got a case for my S7 Edge and S9+ because they felt too slippery. The 4A feels like it already has a case. I'd call the finished rubberized.
The Galaxy S20Fe is 1000X better.
Not that much. I am going Pixel because i don't want a screen over 6.2 inches.
8 year olds bre like: FIRSRSTST6RS
Also FISTSRFSRS
@@fps1056 so you a 8year old LoL well your one year older iam gone to cry in the conner
@@slenderman6466 Would you like some life advice?
Software is the most important facet of a phone for me. And Google's Android for the Pixel is hands down the best way to experience Android. Nobody offers an experience that's so simple and just works like Google's. A phone that's actually smart and has almost everything the way you want it out of the box.
The 1st and 2nd gen non-XL Pixels were $649. I think $699 is pretty reasonable considering the upgrades since then. I know the 5 doesn't have a headphone jack.
Especially if you compare the 765G, to those similarly priced flagships of older years.
The Pixel 5 is roughly US$100 cheaper here in Canada due to no mmwave though
"We need to stop tying flagship to a premium phone" THIS! Glad someone finally said it. Flagship is the head honcho, best of the bunch, top notch. For Samsung, that would be the Ultra's and maybe the Fold and Flip. Apple, its the Pro's. iPhone 11/12 isn't a flagship, but it's still a great (and pricey) phone. Note 20 isn't THE flagship, but it's still $1000
i bet it feels like the Incipio brand phone cases. They are the nicest feeling, soft, undescribable thing I've ever touched
Really good video Austin and Matt. I love these chatty uploads. Keep it up.
