I really hope they are able to repeat the magic of the first Switch reveal back in October 2016. I remember fondly waking up in the morning and looking at the Nintendo Switch was awestruck to see the hybrid concept come to life with actual games. I also hope they are able to show that it is a different system from the OG Switch line too. We shall see!

To be clear - a scalper is not only someone who buys gaming consoles, it can be gaming gpu's, limited editions of movies and/or music albums, and things like sneakers. You just made it sound like scalping is only about gaming consoles but the problem is actually way bigger than that.

I'm sure most people know a scalper goes beyond video games. During the pandemic, they were buying computer stuff, stopping people from upgrading their computers.

People not believing there will be a batch of games ready for Switch 2 simply are'nt paying attention to things we've heard, as well as actual confirmed release windows. Right now we know two of their big ip's are getting games next year, and a new 3d Mario is incredibly likely ontop of that. Depending on when the Switch 2 releases there's a good chance all three of these become launch titles for the system, and that's only what we already know about or has a very high chance of happening. We also know Nintendo loves to sit on completed games and wait to release them at just the right time. I don't see them stopping that habit anytime soon. Bottom line Nintendo will have enough to fill out the Calander I'm almost positive on that.
I'm more worried for the offerings. A new Zelda is out. Metroid is MEH(to be fair ARMS was MEH). I just wonder on the quantity.
@@RetroCheats This isn't about your own personal opinions though is it, the fact is that Metroid has received new stuff and will continue too. I don't play Metroid either as I'm not fond of shooter games in general, but I can still be happy that fans are getting new games for that series.

I am personally hoping that it's going to be a future-proof kind of system which is something that maybe the dlss upscaling can do. I think the dLSS upscale feature may be important, especially when the next generation Xbox and PlayStations are out.

I'm so excited for the Switch 2 reveal! Regarding when it might happen: They're apparently preparing a much bigger stock of units to be ready at launch, compared to how it was for Switch 1. Producing millions of units takes time, and they'll most likely want to reveal the console before it heads into full production, to avoid it leaking from factories before Nintendo officially announces it. As a result, the reveal to release window will most probably be longer than for Switch 1. If the console actually launches in March 2025, the reveal will likely happen before TGS in September, to allow for third parties to announce games for it after it has been revealed. It could even be revealed before Gamescom in August, as that is a huge gaming venue where we could also see a lot of Switch 2 games get announced! Of course, this is all based on the assumption that the console is indeed launching in March next year. If it launches later, we may have to wait for the reveal until early next year. I do, however, expect an August/September reveal and a March release!

Imagine it would be pretty crazy since there will surely be a 3d Mario, Maybe a Spin-off Zelda game, Metroid Prime 4 cross-gen, Mario Kart, and a party game. Simply put Nintendo will have a great start for Switch 2 and hopefully, they keep that momentum going into its 2nd and 3rd years.

I swear i expect a very very very good launch titles line up i dont know if all these games are going to be launch titles but atleast it could be (ofc theire not all going to be on launch nintendo is not that dumb to put that much great games as launch games)

I wouldn't get your hopes up for a switch 2 reveal in a couple of months. The legend of Zelda Echoes of Wisdom game is launching with a special edition switch lite console this September. I doubt Nintendo will announce or reveal the switch 2 in September Andres. Nintendo doesn't want to jeopardize the special edition switch lite console sales for the Legend of Zelda Echoes of Wisdom game. Plus Nintendo is skipping Gamescom this August. I doubt Nintendo will announce or reveal the switch 2 this August Andres.
I wonder what exclusive games will be get. The metroid & pokemon are most likely cross gen. New mario game, new mario kart game...new Kirby game... maybe year 1 can give us a new DK game? Also, does Nintendo want a strong 1st year line up.. or will they settle for a decent one?
I think the third party support off the bat is going to be akin to Skyrim on Switch...but obviously more current...and more of them.
We've heard alot of third parties are really excited for Switch 2, I think Square and Atlus will be the first ones we see next year.
Hear me out, what if with Pokémon ZA we get version Z as a Switch 2 exclusive and version A for both Switch 1 & 2 (if it has backwards compatibility). It could tie into the rumoured time travel elements with the future version being on the latest console.

When they reach that PS2 sales record, the direct or announcement should be pretty soon after. If that drags out it’ll take longer time, as in closer to march next year…that’s my take.

Yeah, Nintendo is totally sitting on the next Mario Kart and 3D Mario. I'd say those games are close to completion and are simply waiting for the Switch 2 system to drop.

Super Switch
Super switch would be a truly perfect name, because it also perfectly sets up the next system’s name. It would be ultra switch, in reference to ultra 64. The name would make sense too, since they wouldn’t really need to make another console after that. 10 years from now handhelds will have well beyond 9th gen power, and developers are already struggling to push the limits of 9th gen consoles

I’m guessing here that the reveal will be sept/oct 24 and release in feb 25 - one thing to bear in mind is whether they want to coincide the release with the opening of epic universe in Florida and the expansion of Super Nintendo land in Japan too, after all they have said clearly they are going for a wider entertainment profile that isn’t just video games, but movies, theme parks and other entertainment tie ins.
Maybe this means they have started mass production. That could lead to new leaks soon. 🤞
They should introduce slide boost in Metroid Prime 4 Beyond. 2D had it why not 3D as well. It would be a game changer.
Imagine speed boosting and then doing a drift turn to then boost again, ir a shinespark. It would be epic!
I hope the Switch succesor has a Pro controller with customizable paddles similar to the Xbox Elite contorllers.

More consoles - for a console that will be following the best selling console ever - just means more to scalp. There are other measures these platform holders can take to reduce the possibility of scalping, but they rarely attempt.
If the graphics are anything like Metroid Prime 4, you can count me out. Nintendo is behind on graphics performance over a decade at this point. MP4’s graphics would have been cool in 2007-2010 maybe. They are about 15 years behind.
I don't think they'll have many AAA, Switch 2 exclusives ready for year 1.
Nintendo has already dialed back the amount of internally developed AAA games, and working with more powerful tech will lead to longer dev times.
But Nintendo is great at selling nostalgia & leveraging their IPs. There will be a Zelda year 1, but it hasn't been long enough for a new 3D game. That's why we'll probably get a BotW HD/4k (rumored to have been shown off behind the scenes already).
Then we'll get a Switch 2 enhanced Metroid Prime 4, as well as a new 3D Mario. The rest of the lineup will probably consist of smaller, AA games & more enhanced ports.
Wrong, A lot of game company already stated they are ready and focusing o Nintendo. Capcom has bee busy with Nintendo, Bandai already made a studio only for Nintendo, Ubisoft has been working with nintendo... and Actvision-Blizzard Deal with Cod has been signed years ago...
False Nintendo could have launched the Switch 2 late last year if they wanted to do what you’re talking about. Nintendo has been developing their big games for a very big launch lineup because that is very important for a reveal of a new console.
I'm now in the belief Switch 2 is going to have a weaker first year than Switch 1 I doubt it will have as many new games
