Amazing timing. I've been brewing on a boros soldiers deck myself the last couple of days, but somehow never thought about Serra. Just made 21 5/5's I'm a single turn 😂😂😂
But without it it's just a 4/4 for 4 mana, and there's already too many 4+ CC cards in this deck. But I still like the idea of replacing the 2 big angels with them.
@LaurentCassaro I run 2 of them as kind of a late game bomb. People don't expect that card and if I drop ojer with a warleader call out it deals 5 then attack with anim and generate 1 or 2 tokens that's 5 to 10 more damage. Usually already dead before I even attack. But yes the version I run is a glass cannon. I have about 40% win rate and has many flaws but I have fun.

Boros players are honestly sleeping on Baird + Anim. Can win by themselves, adding on pretty much anything and everything Boros can do makes them the strongest power couple in the game. Virtue, Wedding, Warleader's, Nahiri Resolve, Lunarch Vet, Siege Vet, etc... so so many options to play with.
Got to play you yesterday when you were on your delney deck. I have to apologize I gave you a premature good game. I was playing on the phone and didn't see you had a card in hand. I was the Naya discover deck.
For anyone who wants to try this deck, I gave it a test run for 10 games at Platinum rank. Went 2-8. Not because I am a bad player( I used to be consistently mythic till I eased up on playing so much), the reason I lost was because I went first 1 time and 7 out of the 10 games were mono red and the other 3 were some version of aggro that had already dealt 10 damage to me by turn 2 when I finally was able to get a creature on the field.
I'm also in platinum in constructed.. Yep mono green aggro decks are definitely often seen. 1 drops could improve this deck against those.. Not sure what would be the best. Novice Inspectors - not soldiers like Thraben ones but they are human - so roaming thrones could still work and you would not really lose late game power with them. Race them with swiftspears - maybe - not the best synergy but solid pick. For soldier synergy - Yotian Frontliners - being colorless is also an upside for a 1 drop in non monocolor. Warden of the Inner Sky could be good with the resolute reinforcements around. Ruin Lurker bats could be way to go against aggro - if they get bolted - well scry 1 is not nothing - if not - lifelink with the Warleaders Calls and Siege Veterans could be decisive. Many good candidates.. And I think a go wide deck like this should not be without any one drops anyway.
Some decks I try from content creators turn out to be amazing and I get plenty of wins. This deck just isn’t one of them. It seems that you will get matched against decks that have good removal and/or a better aggro strategy.

Love this. I've been running the red ojer god with mine and it makes war leader ping for 5 everytime

I find when I brew a new deck, I get a streak of wins till the matchmaker finds out what I'm weak to, then that's all I get paired with.

i ve never tried a deck with a lower win rate than this one...I am actually 13% win rate...almost impossible to set up the combo

So ad some 1 drops maybe.
