TRC Cierzo Shirt Review

A quick review of the TRC Outdoors Cierzo Shirt. A great compact and lightweight (150 grams!) windproof layer that works well for use in the outdoors, running, military use, or in a Bugout Bag.

Cierzo is the name given to cold wind in the Spanish region of Aragon, more precisely NE dry and cold wind in the Ebro river valley

It’s the old Zoot Suit we used to get made up. When in the ulu we used it as our dry layer of clothes at night to sleep in or over the top of our dry clothes (it could get cold at night in a hammock made from old supply parachute fabric).
In an emergency at night to move fast you could just stuff everything else in your Bergen and leave your zoot suit on until it was safe enough to dress in your cold wet day-clothes

I bought one on the strength of this review. Delivered in just under a week.
I have a 48 chest and the Large is very roomy. As said it weights nothing.
If I had one small criticism the stuff sack is a bit small - if it were 10% larger it would be a bit easier to put away.
I’m very happy with it - thanks for the recommendation!
They should make trousers - together they would make a great zoot suit for changing into after a hike while milling about around your tent or bivvy.

Great stuff, thanks for another link to another great producer, can see one of these going in my day sack, I'm not a pepper, just a guy who goes out for the afternoon or a month, it's a nice bit of kit if hiking to hit a peak when the weather can turn foul,

Interesting bit of kit. Am looking for something like this but wanting it to be waterproof. Nabbing one and nikwaxing it see.s like a decent idea.
Do you know of anyother products that are this size and weight but are waterproof?

Yeah might be ok in a shower, but I wouldn't rely on it as a waterproof.
