    Nice video : however it would be nice to give the needed advise as mentioned. For example : Use of threadlock is a must for every screw in contact with metal (the blue one) then the use of isolation like shrink wrap is needed to secure the connection and have a reliable build ! at minimum those two...

    I actually have the same motor for my DIY Build . It is a RacerStar BRH5045 200KV. It has a D Shape Shaft same as Flipsky 5055 200KV Motor. I actually got the motor pulley from Evolve Skateboards. I like your Awesome DIY Electric Skateboard Build. Great Video

    This is a great video! I will say, the Meepo AWD is a much easier and cheaper way to get those specs, prob has more torque too. Very cool though thank you for showing us how to build one of these and explaining everything so well 🤘

    • @stitches38

      Meepo does not go 35 mph

    • @MonchkinLand
      @MonchkinLand 3 роки тому

      @@stitches38 it does 34 mph and I’ve actually hit 34 as a 250 lb guy on the AWD Pro, flat ground no decline. I can see someone lighter possibly hitting 35 if I can hit 34 on it. Either way it’s pretty much the same speed. Do you have the AWD Pro?

    FYI those 2 part clamps do not work on the precision hangers from BN, they are designed for those types of cast caliber trucks.

    My Flispky came with MT30 connector instead of 4mm bullet. What's the best way to hook it up to the boundmotor vesc? Change the vesc to MT30 or the motor to bullet? Are there adapters where I don't have to change anything?

    • @DIYesk8Builders
      @DIYesk8Builders  3 роки тому +1

      Mine also came like that and I changed them to 4mm. Easiest way is to just clip off the old mt30

    For people that actually want there board to last longer. Don't use drop trough deck if you put the motors under the deck they won't last long. If you use this type of deck have to move your motors om the back outside of the deck

    I was looking at the motor's wires and the ones on the website have a triangle yellow-shaped enclosure on them. Is that removable or are the motors linked to your website different?

      I guess they changed them. If you wanted you could try these flipsky.net/collections/e-skateboard/products/flipsky-bldc-belt-motor-6354-140kv-2450w-for-electric-skateboard?variant=39584731857083

    Advice from a very experienced and veteran longboarder and Eboarder, for anyone reading this, 35MPH is WAY TOO FAST to be going on a board. IDC who you are, that is too fast and extremely unsafe on a board. There is no soul on this planet that can say they “comfortably” and “confidently” ride 35MPH on a board. Unless you’re a competitor and you professionally bomb downhills on longboards at fast speeds for competitions, then it’s a NO for sure. Stay safe everyone and ride safe

    • @DIYesk8Builders
      @DIYesk8Builders  3 роки тому

      I 100% agree that 35 MPH is too fast. A lot of the boards that we build can go that fast, if not faster, but the point is never to go there. It's more of a buffer that can be used if absolutely necessary.

    you should be telling people to double wrap the bullet connectors with shrink wrap or I use duct tape for test builds. Easy to fry a DRV idk if you ever have.

    Can you use a 10s volt battery on this build. How much top end speed do you lose?

    • @DIYesk8Builders
      @DIYesk8Builders  4 роки тому

      With a 10s battery the top speed would be around 30 MPH. You could definitely make that work!

  • @TheWoeggil
    @TheWoeggil 4 роки тому

    Was the top speed on the bench or under load? Seems a lot for a 2p setup.
