Love, love, love these lessons! Thank you so much for doing them. I just adopted a little boy from Korea and am trying to learn some things before he gets here! Stupid government rules make the wait at least 12 months, but at least now that gives me time to study! Thank you Professor Oh and friends!
Thanks for another awesome KWOW!! I think then next one should be christmas theme. Like how to say, christmas tree, santa, carol, eggnogg, cookies, sleigh, reindeer, gifts etc.
There are some phrases I'd like to learn in Korean. 1)"What does it mean?" 2)"How do you say ___ in Korean?" 3)"I am learning Korean." 4)"Please repeat that." -Thanks for the videos. They are great and I am learning a lot.
Professor Oh!! I have a question. You said "Those who not received gift on Valentine's or White Day" but also said White Day, thos who received chocolate on valentine's must give candies to the presenters on White Day. I want to know if they guy gives candy back to everyone who gave him chocolate, or if the guy only gives candy for the girl who he accepts to be with.
Wait I'm confused. I watched episode 21 as well, but I still don't know. So on your birthday you don't add a year? You only add a year on the Korean New Year? o.o
Is the Korean New Year like the Chinese New Year? There are many similarities. 1. Chinese New Year is also on the first day of the lunar calendar 2. We also give the young money in red packets called 紅包 Hong2Bao2 3. We also eat sticky rice cakes (added with brown sugar) on CNY, we call it 年糕 Nian2Gao1 Anyway I'm Buddhist too ^^ Cheers!
Hello, Professor Oh, can you do a lesson on flowers and blossoms? You're our delicate flower. I'd really like to learn someting about flowers, everyone likes flowers right? Do you like flowers?
Jin is actually correct. 金(Jin in Chinese) = Kim Koreans and Chinese have a lot of similarities. 1. Korean New Year (Chinese call it Chinese New Year) 2. Midautumn festival (we eat mooncakes too) 3. Jajangmyeon (Chinese eat it anytime. No specific day to eat it. We call it Zha2Jiang2Mian4)
teach us the korean calender! im really confused with the lunar calender and month and solor this ep really confused me like the new years day it said first day of solor calender (what does that mean???)

LOL!! since I'm like twelve (idk what age they celebrate it) I told my 엄마 that Koreans have a children's day, and she laughed and said 'honey, children's day is EVERYDAY here in america' but I don't think so...=D
It'd be cool to know more about how people names work. And if you're trying to tell someone what your name is, do you say it as you would in whatever your native language is, or do you try to figure out a Korean pronunciation?
At first I was confused by the age system because T.O.P and Seungri from BIGBANG celebrated their birthdays on the actual date unlike the Korean age system but I get it now sorta...
White day? Black day? XD LOL! Is there a gray day? How about red, pink, blue, orange and green? LOL. On a serious note. Thanks for this Prof Oh. It's amazing how you're cute even as an old woman. :)
Hmm. I've noticed that you skipped the explanation on Liberation Day. Also that you put a lengthy disclaimer after the explanation on March 1st. What are you afraid of? You think some Japanese viewers might be "offended" because it's the day Korea was liberated from Japan? That's just plain ridiculous. It's like trying to avoid bringing up the American Independence Day because some Brits might get offended.

Wait I'm confused. I watched episode 21 as well, but I still don't know. So on your birthday you don't add a year? You only add a year on the Korean New Year? o.o

Jin is actually correct. 金(Jin in Chinese) = Kim
