As a photographer, I'll defiantly keep my Mini 3 Pro. No doubt about it. As for the Mavic 3 Classic - I can appreciate its better camera capabilities, however the Mini 3 Pro produces great photos and videos, and a noticeably lower sound level, So getting the Mavic 3 Classic is yet to be determined.
@@dicekolev5360 It being big is actually better IMO, better flight stability and wind resistance. Plus it can accomodate a larger battery for more flight time
I fly an Air 2S and a Mavic 3 Classic. I couldn't care less about sound, but that's just me. Both cameras do exceptional jobs. The Mavic 3 Classic is indeed the most stable flyer making it easier to get footage in adverse conditions. Sometimes that's great! Most people won't see a difference in post production if properly executed. I have a "small" one and a "large" one depending on my needs. Both housed in a Pelican hard case with al the accessories. My recommendation? Don't get hung up on all the latest, greatest or you'll never be happy. Buy one, learn it, master it. Only then will you know if you need something bigger and better.
I almost always bring my best Mavic drone. What device or resolution people are gonna view it matters not a wit. I want to capture the best quality video footage possible, with the most latitude in color grading. There are so many features to the Mavic 3 Classic, not the least of which is battery life, also aperture control is critical. I shoot mostly video and as light changes with orientation mid-flight, I want more control than ISO alone. The only times I’d use a lesser model is; the content doesn’t matter; it’s a higher risk situation (remote area/locale, inaccessible, late in the day, no cell/satellite service, etc.); my best Mavic is out of commission. That said, the Mini 3 pro is a very compelling 2nd drone, compact size allowing me to carry 2 drones, which I typically do anyway. You do have a point about the noise though.
Fully agree with you, Rob. I did not get the original Mavic 3, because I felt the dual camera is not a necessity. Now that finally DJI listened to the flyers and introduced the Classic, I got it. I'm subbing. Greetings from Montreal, Canada.
I knew 2 & 3 weren't the Classic because of the lack of details in the shadows (I cheated and watched it on a bid screen). For paid shoots the Classic is much better when conditions are less than perfect. It's also much better for sunsets approaching 'blue hour' and into the night. But on a nice sunny day my old Mini 2 is still great.
Mini 3 Pro user here and I have no complaints, I match footage with my Lumix S1 and they look amazing together. This is the first drone I've flown this much, and if you get it, get the controller.
Hello my friend, your video is amazing and your informative explanation urged me to tell you my real life experience when it comes to Mini 3 Pro, I bought it recently and I felt that I have treasure in my hand but regardless that it is amazing drone with excellent professional quality, unfortunately the Gimbal not that sturdy one that you could count on especially in windy snowy condition, I tried several times and I got amazing footages out of it but when I flew it in wind or snowy cold conditions I suffered a lot of wobbly footages and jerky shots, the drone itself flew well but the Gimbal didn't resist at all ,,,,, because of this reason I decided to purchase the Mavic 3 Pro, and it goes without saying I found this drone more than perfect to fly it in any condition without worries, windy, snowy or even slight raining no issues, moreover the noise out of it is very acceptable comparing to the old Mavics ,,,,, I really like it but at same time I would confidently state that DJI Mini 3 pro commercial from DJI company was really exaggerated and we can't say that the Mini 3 Pro is dependable in any condition ,,,,,,,, my apology for my long essay but it's just brainstorming.
Mini 3 is the perfect drone imo. You got a bad unit and should have calibrated the IMU and gimbal or sent it back to DJI for quality check. The M3 Classic is fantastic, but mini 3 pro does have the same or almost the same wind performance in average consitions(where 99,99% of the people arr using a drone) Like i said, you most likely experienced a bad unit as i have never had any issues with my Mini 3 pro.
I hear you. I have four DJIs started with Mavic Air 2 Pro. Then OMG the FPV came out and I had to have it. Bought the Minin3 pro cause it’s small and quiet. The Classic…….because I couldn’t afford the Matrice 30T lol I like the best of the best Thinking of selling my FPV
So I just purchased this drone and it came with a foam piece to support the camera and gimbal along with the strap harness and I was wondering if that foam piece was supposed to be continuously used or just for factory to consumer . It seems easier to put the cover over the camera with it, but it looks like a like of people don’t use it. Thanks
Surely its aimed at the Mavic 2 Pro user. I'm watching on a colour calibrated professional display. As far as telling the difference, you uploaded in 4k why not just use 720p if it doesn't matter?
I completely agree that the classic even though it’s so popular right now is just not worth it over the mini. But the regular M3 there’s a big difference in my opinion
@@RobHK Yeah I’m one of those out there that think the 28 times zoom exploring lens ,although only 4k at 7X, provides some incredible parallax effect and is extremely stable so I think it’s a huge difference.
@@cuuppaajoe Yeah, I'm facing the challenge of CASA drone laws in Australia, where it's 30m distance, but who really needs 4K when cinemas are at 2K and one can superscale in Davinci Resolve. At this stage I don't know whether to sell my Classic after I get the ReOC and RePL which is another $2600, or sell it earlier and upgrade to the M3 Pro so I don't lose cinematic opportunities with talent.
The classic is "not a lot cheaper"? Mavic 3 with the RCN1 controller was $2200 USD while the Classic with the DJI RC controller is $1749, $451 cheaper. If you get the Classic without a controller where you might already have a RCN1 or DJI RC from another drone, the Classic is $1469. $731USD cheaper. You couldn't by a Mavic 3 without a controller and a RC Pro was more than $3000. Sadly as we go into winter I will have to wait to buy the M3 Classic until spring as it makes no sense to burn warranty time when my drones stay largely hibernating in the winter and I have other drones to fly on those rare occasions where the winter produces beautiful scenes. $1469 I can see spending. $2200+... Not a chance in hell.
I will stick with my mavic 2s over the mini 3 pro the 2s has a bigger sensor and it doesn’t feel like a toy. And the 2s handles the wind better already seen videos on that the mini 3 pro is to toyish for me
@@RobHK You’re right but mavic 3 has this low pitch sound unlike Air. I also sold air 2s and bought m3classic:) also have mini 3 love this little drone! The footage is so good. I think I’ll keep both. For contrast:)) btw thanks for all your Luma tutorials! I learned a lot!

And it's too big! Air2s is still the best middle ground quality vs. size.

The differences appear in green textures… I always recognize DRONE by the compression in green tones
New video!! Less goo mate! 🔥
Awesome content. One rookie question is why is the range in US 15KM while it's only 8KM in EU for the same drone in optimal conditions!
EU has different rules

Its almost the same, difference is the tele lens. So no huge difference between the m3c and the m3 spec-wise

Would you recommend the manvic 3 classic. I’m looking to upgrade from my phantom 4
If you need a big one. Definitely classic 👌
I watched it on my ipad mini and didnt notice any different
For budget sake maybe its wise to buy mini 3 pro
Well. It looks like the mini 3 pro may be my next pickup. This or the avata.

Hi , if you want to sell the M3 classic, I'm a buyer 😉
Super 🤝😎
Air2S is louder than m3c
Not something i recall from real world testing and experiences no

Doesn’t matter, its still louder in measures 😎 not much but its there.
