the cthulhu we see in the books are more like his avatars or manifestation. he is a being beyond our reality(universe). he is so out of this world that. people who glance upon him go crazy cause they can't understand his nature.

Another time he actually managed to consume dormammu, what was corrupted by The entity and became a bizarre, fused being until Doctor strange managed to separate them. So while I suspect Galactus would win the fight.... There almost certainly would be some truly wicked fallout. Another marvel entity it would be wise to compare Galactus to would actually be shuma gorath, who is arguably Marvel's version of Cthulhu in the first place. I can't quite remember if they've ever actually fought. And no the creature in the Doctor strange multiverse of madness movie was not actually shuma gorath if anything it might have been one of his grandspawn.

First of all, anything not related to the original wiritings of Lovecraft and his guests shouldnt be taken as canon so as far as i know nobody ran a boat into him in those writings... Second of all, Ctulhu is much more powerful than we can understand, bro legit warps reality around him, he can make living creatures go insane without even being awake, his mere existence causes it, Galactus is all powerfull but a conflict of interests (cant even call it a fight) between these two would end up with Galactus being trapped in a nightmare of his own making, a prison inside his own mind, regardless of how much destructive power he holds, he would be basically punching air... Galactus vs Ctulhu would be lime a 3rd dimensional being trying to fight a 4th dimensional one who is untouchable from that layer, yet can still influence the inferior ones, would be like a fictional character trying to attack you...
