  • This video is about how to invest in startups with little money. I chatted with Jude Dike, co-founder of Get Equity about why he believes in investing in Nigerian/African startups, how his platform is helping African businesses get investments, and why it's important to invest in African companies.

I don't have a type of company that I am interested in, I am open and if I see one that has a great concept that solves a problem and adds value to the lives of Africans I'll be very interested, broad but 🤷‍♀️

I only started investing in 2020 after over a decade of wanting to invest and not knowing how, then being put off by how many people framed the goal and returns i.e. "if you save £XXX every month for 30 years you could have £XXXXXX for your pension", the saving for a pension that I might never see just didn't resonate with me. I've always been a saver and long wanted to optimise those savings but people who framed investing as something you passively do for your pension rather than something you could engage in and track and see gains within a few years put me off. I'll look into investing in African businesses and check out Jude's site.

Is it $250,000 or $1,000,000 for you and your spouse?

@@IveomaMedia Very informative! Iveoma, you know Nigeria is fast becoming the IT capital of Africa as the country already has five out of the seven IT unicorns in the continent. Honestly, your channel has the potential to be very big if you can interview these start-ups CEOs. The get equity and Kaoshi interviews were very perfect just that the laughing was a bit too much given the fact say na investment matter. Lol! In any case, the queen should continue the good job.

I am not changing a thing about how I present information. My content is amazing, informative, and my watch time (how long people are watching) is excellent. 😂 Appreciate the kind comment though!
