    Nothing better than someone who really understands the subject to demonstrate the incredible sound of each snare. Great video David!

    My favorite part is that I got to listen to those 3 sick tracks 5 times in a row before watching this video. Bless David and his drumming that is from another dimension.

    all great snares david! simply can't go wrong with any of them. i like how the Starphonics pop in high tuning. the Tempesta is iconic in every sense. that shallow bronze sound lab is probably the best bang for buck. really all great snares.

    Always a treat to hear Diepold play to any metal track. The ride/hihat interplay in the 2nd track is so sick. And honestly if I heard the 3rd track elsewhere without context or any video I would have sworn it was new Cognizance material!

    So between this and the Starphonic aluminium, which one to choose ? I love the sound of both. I don’t own an aluminium drum but I own a 14x6.
    I also don’t own a copper drum and I also don’t own a 14x7.
    Which one should I go for when it’s a 50/50 tie ?

  • @Anomaly92
    @Anomaly92 Рік тому +6

    To be honest, as you put effort into making all these videos quite identical, I think you should have mashed them together in one single video to make the comparison between the snares more intuitive like you did with the different tunings.

      @@DavidDiepold As a compromise, you can also put up a compilation of the final 20 seconds of snare only tuning comparison from each video. With timestamps, it'll be amazing for A/B comparison.

    Ah, der Meister hat wieder geuploaded.
    Kurzgefasstes, aber überhaupt nicht kurzes Feedback:
    Fand's sehr gut, wieweit du ins Detail gegangen bist bzgl. der Konfiguration der Snares, also Tension Rods, Spannreifen, Felle etc., die Demo Tracks hatten ne ordentliche Länge, nd zu kurz, nd zu lang, und ich finde, die haben dahingehend natürlich gut gepasst, weil man die Snares bei dir in solchen Kontext erwarten kann.
    Das einzige Manko, haben auch andere angesprochen glaub ich, ist, dass kein direkter Vergleich der einzelnen Snares hintereinander vorhanden ist. Und wenn es nur die Clips gegen Ende der einzelnen Videos zusammengeschnitten wären, das hätte schon gereicht (allerdings kann ich nicht beurteilen, inwiefern das mehr Arbeit bedeutet hätte, zum Überarbeiten würd ich dich jetzt nd bewegen wollen xD)
    Im Allgemeinen aber gut gelungen, solche kleinen Deep Dives ins Equipment sind generell immer interessant, ist da noch mehr in Planung, wenn ich ganz dreist fragen darf?
