The fact that it rattled you two so deeply has got me even more hyped. Sounds similar to how The Strangers made me feel the first time.
That’s so weird you say this because I just saw longlegs and it made me feel EXACTLY how the strangers (2008) made me feel when I saw it!

Nic Cage is so believably disturbing. The film is competently made and effective, and I’ll be stewing on it this weekend I’m sure.
I’m seasoned in horror, and these post-movie behaviors totally caught me by surprise then and as I reflect on them now. I can’t remember the last time feeling so creeped out by a horror movie. What a film.
Alicia Witt was great. She almost looked like a crazy version of Julianne Moore, lol
This movie sounds so intriguing but I'm admittedly a big scaredy cat. Is there a lot of gore and jump scares?
The film is mostly just unnerving. There are probably 3 or 4 jump scares. But it’s worth it. Excellent storytelling!

I went last night, and I have to say there was a lot more humor than I was expecting. There were moments when the whole audience would laugh out loud.
Omg, we were surprised as well! Yeah, the entire audience was cracking up at how awkward Maika’s character was with the boss’s daughter in the beginning and some other scenes as well. She played the character so well!
Your review was excellent, yet I’m concerned about seeing it. I am not ready for more anxiety!! Nick Cage is so fascinating as an actor and it looks as though Oz Perkins has inherited his dad’s amazing place in films.
It’s definitely anxiety inducing and a few jump scares but doesn’t rely on that for the scares.

@@blondetouragereviews Well, I gotta say…Longlegs felt a tad rushed. And will likely be a victim of its own hype for many.
But it was definitely creepy with imagery that lingers. With better writing it could have been a masterpiece.

It Follows (ironically Manroe is also in it) and Evil Dead remake are both of my favorite modern horror films.
How does it fair in comparison to these two?
I’m very curious about how it compares It Follows since Maika is in it too and loved her in that movie.
Didn’t like Hereditary as much, but was still really good.
I love both those films but if I had to compare, it has the same type of anxiety you felt from It Follows although such a different film. Think Silence of the Lambs but with more anxiety and dreariness! I hate contributing to the hype but we thought the hype was real.
@@blondetouragereviews No it’s okay, I’m sure the movie is good (IF anything.) But the more I hear about it the more I want to see it in theaters. And I haven’t been gone to the theaters since John Wick 4lol but I really love horror movies (perhaps more than any other genre.)
It’s crazy how they let reviewers review it so early on though, kind of like the director and everyone who made the film were confident of its quality.
So I stop watching your video just after the 2min. mark for Spoilers, will continue tomorrow 😅

Apples and oranges! Folk horror like Hagazusa just gives me anxiety before the scares anyway. You need to see Longlegs. You will love it!

Back for my honest take, I was so hyped for this movie. A lot of build up & tension waiting to be scared: Didn’t happen not scary but interesting. Love Nicolas Cage but his final reveal disappointing.
Aww bummer. I’m sorry it didn’t live up to the hype for you. The trailers and promotions definitely did a disservice to the film but I still really loved it and thought to myself, does the trailer change my rating of the film. It didn’t for me. Some people are saying it’s better on the 2nd watch. I think I’m gonna see it again this weekend.
