This is definitely a dream item for me and I backed the deluxe. It would be good if we had the surge early, but despite everyone pointing out that backing early helps, it's human nature for some to wait. I would love for us to get all the unlocks, that Arliel Schouss sculpt is incredible.

Same!! It's a pretty cool environment that we have been needing a proper release of in the line. I do think we will see an all new Hammerhead just like the 6inch scale, but we will have to wait and see 👊😎🤘
I backed up for the Deluxe. I charged it as I really needed something huge to treat myself this year. I do hope that it will get backed up, there are so many Cantina customs out there, but this one seems to be the most accurate one. I have currently on display the Hasbro cardboard one on display on my shelf along with the Jabba Palace cardboard. I got the Boba Fett Palace and the Jabba's Adventure set, which I plan to use as Jabba's palace not Boba Fett's. This Cantina would be perfect for my Tatooine world building. I really love the Cantina Band number and one thing I plan on doing with both the Cantina and the Jabba displays is making a press the button and the music will play in the background. Let's hope this gets backed up.
Nice!!! That's definitely a proper treat haha. I went with a Deluxe as my main version as well and I was most excited for these figures, so I am really hoping we can unlock at least a tier or two. I'm doing the same with my Throne Room as well, but I did recently open up the second one and will probably have a small BOBF display using it. 🤘😁✌️
For me, the only improvement Leesub, Hrchek and Pons Limbic would need is a photoreal deco. They have the poseability to use them in the Cantina and most diorama scenes I can think of.
The campaign is tracking less than 4K backers behind the Ghost which ended on almost 22K backers, and the daily totals are now very similar (if not better) so I think, even with the shorter backing window, unlocking all tiers is possible.
That's totally fair, and I'm curious how much of an improvement photoreal would add to them. I also agree that this is tracking pretty decent, especially given the short window, and proximity to the last Haslab. Fingers crossed we get those tiers! ✨✨✌️😎✌️✨✨

Anytime!! I hear yah, it's a big ask especially after the previous campaign and all the stuff that's been arriving, and that's if you only collect Star Wars. I can't imagine how some fans collect multiple scales and toy lines. Definitely hoping this backs and I can't wait to take some photos with it 🤘😁✌️

These should be released in stores ,supporting haslabs allows them to keep re releasing already seen tvc figures and releasing one or two of these 'haslabs' a year making the big bucks which means they don't have to produce as much and put less effort in
Sadly retail is no longer willing to carry these large items due to the clearance vulture mentality and available shelf space. It's an unfortunate situation that we have to accept, and while I don't 100% agree with it, at least Hasbro is still willing to offer these types of large releases. I am beyond grateful for the Ghost and Crew which showed a lot of passion from the team. 👌😎✌️
Hasbro does need to step their game up with NEW releases during the year, and show fans the appreciation we are looking for. I love troop building but too many re-packs and re-paints can be annoying.

Great breakdown. I’m with you and think many of those older figures (especially from Legacy Collection) could just use a bit of new tooling in some areas and would be good to go, no need for completely new.

They should have made the Tyderium Shuttle with Papaltine, his retinue of advisors, red guards and red carpet- plus ultra glossy Death Star floor and a dozen troopers. Stretch goals give us Vader that can kneel with the Death Star commander guy and another dozen troops. Each stretch is more troops plus a unique figure like a Death Star droid.
That would be one heck of a Haslab!!! It would be cool to get a new shuttle, but all of those add ons would make me think a hefty price. 👌😁

It's all about the budget, TVC doesn't get enough for the mainline, and that's just how it be. Between issues at brick and mortar, retail partners, and clearance vultures less investment goes into the line to get more figures out there. I get that it sucks, and I think Hsbro shouldn't have to lock figures behind these but, the Tonnikas would also not do well at retail, nor would Wuher.
I bought the deluxe one. I only bought one because it is costly like you both said. I like it and think this could get better if this gets funded. There could be details they may not had been able to add in time of the announcement. Once the box gets revealed that will be even better. This set is actually cheaper to buy than buying individual pieces made by custom 3D model pieces. Just my humble opinion. I really hope this gets funded. I'm hoping all tiers get met too!

Displaying it in sections is really intriguing. If you go in on the Base (399.99) purchase do you still receive all of the individual characters that the Deluxe buyers will receive?
You should check out that video on Hasbro Pulse UA-cam, it's neat how the sections are displayed. As for the figures yes! The Tonnikas and Wuher are included in either version you decide to back, and if the tier figures are unlocked you will get those as well. ✨🙌😎🙌✨
Its beautiful it's a must ,,the deluxe cantina set i dont care repacks or newTooling we do need them for the new collectors or for the old collectors who missed out on some or all of the cantina figures
It's going to be a great piece to add to the collection for sure! Yeah there's going to be some demand for figures to help populate this set. Hopefully Hasbro can get them out there and make smart choices ✌️😎✌️

Some LEDs would make this so much nicer. It's cool, though. There is no need for any more Cantina sets after this one. I wish I had room for it.
It was engineered with that in mind, so if fans want to add lights it wouldn't be too difficult. Definitely is going to be the GO TO Cantina display for sure 🤘😁✌️

Given that it is such a high end item, all the Alcove Outer Walls should be textured/weathered.
Dioramas extending to outside of the cantina would look better, using the textured/weathered walls. Not just the entrance.
This added texturing would be good to see at the back of the curved archways either side of the bar as well. Extends the ability to set up dioramas inside the StoreRoom.
They are modular, so both sides should be textured.
Double sided display would be very cool, I am thinking about customizing an exterior for this ✌️😎😎✌️

Nice video, I am tempted to buy the regular version just for the figures, but is hard because of cost…(I made the Deluxe order already). There is one Blue Snaggletooth on the Kmart Cantina Scenes (is not a very nice figure, but there it is)

You definitely will probably have a chance to sell whatever you don't care to keep on the secondary market. There are always people who unfortunately missed or waited too long to back it ✨👌😎✌️✨
I know that Blue Snuggle he's pretty cool and a repaint of the version from the holiday special, I do want both of those done right in TVC proper haha
I have no interest in characters that have already been done until we get more never-before-released patrons. Atheloe, Reegesk, Danz Borin, Yerka Mig and Rycar would probably be at the top of my list. For retools, I wouldn't mind seeing Labria, Boshek and Lak Sivrak.
There's so many backgrounders in that Cantina, not sure if many would do well at retail, but I will take all the aliens they want to make! 👌😁
I backed the base version. Now I'm hoping it gets backed! I'd like some more Cantina aliens at some point. If I had more money I would've backed the deluxe version, but I have no coffee table either.

@@ToysAreTheWay I have some customs in my Nevarro Cantina along with a few older TVC figures. Using a customized version the Nevarro Cantina(3 of them combined) in the meantime as a Mos Eisley Cantina, but will probably put it and the Mos Eisley one side by side at some point.
This is moving kind of slow, but I'm sure toward the end, we'll hit the 8000 number.
It's always so slow during the middle of the campaign, even the Ghost had some drag during this. I do think it would have been smart to show this off during an event like SDCC.
@@ToysAreTheWayI really think that most people would've preferred getting a vehicle like the Bad Batch's Marauder instead of a diorama. These stretch goal figures really motivated me to buy this. And I bought two deluxes.
Great vid. Not too long, not too short. Regarding repacks...talking to one guy and he said there was no way he wanted to pay $18 for a figure that's 15 years old. And he's right. But this might be the only way we get them. Hasbro isn't going to re-tool every figure from the Cantina that's already been made. Besides, Hrchek is going for $200 right now. Leesub $190, Pons $175 and Trinto/Dice $250. What's better, $80 for 4 figures or $800??? Agree with your take on Bom Vindin, Ponda and Dr. Crazy. Same with Momaw Nadon.
Thanks! For sure, especially if they have swivel hips, but on the other hand $18 is better than the $50-$200+ some of these older figures go for. I'm always up for more aliens, they are what makes collecting fun. Hopefully Hasbro can fit more of them into the releases for the year without sacrificing a lot of mains that we need from shows and movies ✌️😎😎✌️

There's some nice data out there that fans have compiled showing the trends from these Haslabs. It's hard to say where we will officially land, seems like a lot of people are waiting on the sideline still. ✌️😎😎✌️
Based on the precedent set by previous HasLabs, Greedo is within reasonable range. Nabrun and Arleil will be more difficult to attain for sure.

If the stretch goals are😮 not met, Hasbro should just make a 3 pack of those figures. They spent on tooling so why not make them available on Pulse ?
Why not straight repacks or slight retools of hard to get Cantina Aliens on vintage cards in a multipack on Pulse ? Why toss an opportunity to TVC OT?
I wish, the metal molds are not put into production until the tiers are met. They haven't actually invested in the tooling. The figures shown are prototypes that are 3D printed in resin and then painted up by artist. That's why we definitely need to have as many backers as possible to get these tiers. Greedo is likely the only one they would make, because he's an Original 96 character. ✌️😎😎✌️
I hope we see a few creature packs, but uncertain the future is.

Already pre-ordered! Seriously hope this gets funded w/all the tiers. Not only is this an amazing playset for the ultimate diorama 3 & 3/4 inch TVC collector, but it also works great for classic Kenner collectors & their displays. My only concern is space & my guess is the same for other collectors too!

I also agree that this is going to see some Kenner love as well, and in terms of space the Star Wars team shared a stream about a week ago showing how easy it is to take the Cantina apart and display it in sections on a small shelf. So in theory you can display small sections of it, and put the rest in storage. ✨👌😃✌️✨

I suppose im ok with some repacks(dont let hasbro see this) but i really do think all new is the way to go for a lot of the characters. Especially dr evizan and ponda boba like you said. What i would tell hasbro for new figures is if you watch the cantina scene and the camera goes directly on that alien, i want it.
Hahaha. Yeah I think all new or at least modern tooling re-use is the way to go as well especially for those two. They are front and center for this scene. I'd really like to see the Boss/Spaceman tooling make its way into TVC. ✌️😎😎✌️
Exactly. If the character has a direct camera scene, gotta make a figure of him. Another guy said he wanted figures that have never been made before. Every obvious character in the Cantina has been made. The ones he's talking about are so irrelevant, I can't justify making a figure for.

If it was 6inch black series scale, and haslab delivered to Australia, I'd buy it in a second. I already have all the available canteen black series 6inch figures.
EB Games has this available in New Zealand, so there are options to get these items down that way. I totally hear yah and understand the appeal but it would be crazy oversized in 6inch scale! I feel like it would need an entire dining room table to display it, and fans are already concerned about size for the heritage scale version. 375 works best for world building items like this one ✌️😎😎✌️

Love TVC, but this is the weakest, most underwhelming HasLab for TVC. Still on the fence on whether to back.
In some ways I feel the same, but I do appreciate a well made diorama piece and the 6 all new figures is rather exciting considering they are only just now starting to offer new figures in these campaigns. But another part of me thinks that Vehicles shine harder and have more appeal, and the play sets work best as a pulse exclusive like the Throne Room. I do think this will be an item that some may regret not getting, and our cantina figures need a proper display ✌️😎😎✌️
I completely agree playsets should be Pulse exclusives. Appeal is limited to core fans so I will be surprised if anything beyond tier 1 is unlocked.
I cannot decide on whether to get a base or a deluxe edition.
If you get the deluxe but then change your mind, I'm sure you could easily sell the extra alcoves.
It's a hard choice man, and depending on the final backer count this thing is going to be rare. If you tryna save some loot, and don't care to display the full set due to space I'd say the base. I went for the Deluxe as my main one, just because I'd rather have the whole thing. Time is running out dude! ✨🤘😁🤘✨

I’m passing this one up. It’s a money grab and costs to much at 500 for a simple diorama. The majority of backers probably already own most, if not all, the alien figures to populate it with. For everyone else, they will be in bidding wars on eBay for overly inflated figure prices. It’s not unreasonable to spend will over 1,000 total. Simply not worth it. I’m in full support of vehicles and ships tho. These always sell like hot cakes and have been far more reasonable in pricing, etc.
That's fair and I hear yah on the Vehicles and Ships, I do think those have some major appeal to them. I would have liked to see The Marauder and Bad Batch. But this is a high quality diorama, and as someone who builds these types of environments I appreciate it and think it shows its value. Especially because of the figures, the three included figures alone are going to not be available anywhere else and due to that low production number and the costs of making unique new tooling, they add a decent amount of cost to this set. Thats's why it's pretty important to back and try and gain numbers to get the tiers unlocked, adding 3 more of the same types of figures. But we will see how this all turns out ✨🙌😎🙌✨
I can see why you would get it - you do such great world building etc. I am sure it will back. Not for me though, no room and no interest in Haslab anymore.
For sure, this is right up my alley, and while I love building dioramas I'll take something pre-made any day! Totally understandable on your end, finding space is challenging, and it's a big ask. 😃✌️

Totally overpriced sadly. Had it included all of the figures, including the Tier figures, in the base price then i may have pulled the trigger but I'm not paying all that money if im not guaranteed the Tier figures also.
It's pricey for sure, and I would have liked to see all the figures included in the initial offering as well. Maybe some type of extra tier could have been cool. But the more backers we get the closer we get to unlocking all of the figures, each and every person in this community counts, just sayin ✌️😎😎✌️

I dod think the timing was odd. The delay, shorter campaign window, and not showing this off during an event like SDCC surely has to have some affect on this Haslab. Size isn't too bad, Hasbro made a great video showing how easy it is to display parts of the Cantina on a small shelf due to the modular design. The price is also not too bad when you take a look at Boba's Throne room for $230 and this is much larger with more figures and accessories for less than double the cost ✌️😎

Me having infinite money is false LOL I wish. There's been plenty of posts encouraging people to save and prepare for this item IF they want it, which I did accordingly. TBH Cantina Aliens can waste 1/3 of their Haslab money on fuel and a nite at the bar, foolishly 😂🤘
I've been playing with and collecting Star Wars toys since 1978. No i wont be paying for that cantina. It is a rip off and it's exploiting fans. This should be in stores for around 100 bucks or less. Ludicrous Haslab scam.

Such a shame, im a strictly 3.75 collector only, but seeing as ive worked in plastic injection molding places before(in charge of orders)i know this costs about 50 bucks of plastic tops, and thats being extremely generous. This could have sold for 350 and still made profit. Hasbro are putting nails in their own coffin.
Really?? The only alternate is a 3d printing and that stuff is not as good but just as expensive. This is our only option other than cardboard or 3d printed.
