Ww spend a week every October camping at Gulf State Park. The weather is still warm, it's not crowded and it's the highlight of our camping year. Alabama State Parks are the best.
Oh my..... now I’m homesick! I was born in Mobile. Just got a Rpod 180 last year. Have been visiting all the great places Kentucky has to offer. This is now my home. Gonna plan a trip down to see family and this beautiful section of Gulf area for next year. Safe travels!
We’ve spent 4 winters at Gulf State Park and love the area. We haven’t found a park yet, public or private that comes close to it. The 28 miles of paved paths are unprecedented and their ocean frontage is beautiful. Orange Beach and Gulf Shores have plenty of shopping and dining options. I might add that there are lots of things to do between Mobile and Pensacola. Don’t forget Fort Pickens, the National Navel Museum, Johnson Beach National Lakeshore, Fort Morgan, Fairhope, Bon Secour National Wildlife Refuge, Dauphin Island and OWA. Sooo much to do and see you won’t be sorry.
Alabama coast is as beautiful as Florida Gulf Coast beaches. I've been all around Florida coastline but never in Alabama. Hoping to get out there at some point. Nice video, thanks for sharing 👍
We are going there the last week of September. It looks like all sites are paved for the camper, do they generally all have a paved pad for outside sitting? Thanks for your video!
Thanks for sharing 😊
Thanks for watching! We really can't say enough good things about Gulf State Park!

We love gulf state park! We're booked for May. It's our 3 trip there. Also I've been to the Abita brew pub several times. (Your shirt).
We will definitely get back to Gulf State Park someday! There is just so much to do there. Good catch on the Abita tee-shirt!

Thanks for watching! Yes, I think all the sites are paved And have an additional paved pad for the picnic table. You will have a great time!!
Did yall swim in the lake? I know they have a swimming area. However, I can't find pictures of it.
Thanks for watching! We did not swim in the lake; the pool was so good and the Gulf was excellent. I'm not sure about a lake swimming area.
Are there any places for paddle boards, other than the gulf ?
For sure! Lake Shelby is inside the park and you could paddle there.
