A pocket mask is not part of the BS5988 first aid kit contents, however in my opinion if you've got an AED on site, you really ought to be investing in at least one pocket mask and attaching it via a zip-tie to the AED carry bag. For adults, compression only CPR for a few minutes until the AED is in use can make all the difference, however as time passes adding in rescue breaths will improve the chance of a positive outcome. It's all down to your on site risk assessments relating to equipment purchase and knowing where your emergency kit is located.
