When the time came (hubby and I are both seniors) to get our COVID shots, we learned that Ms. Parton's philanthropic efforts helped fund and make the MODERNA vaccine available to folks like us. How on earth do you thank a person for such mind-blowing generosity??

Yes, I can relate. I became a huge fan of hers when I was 11. I had to go on a field trip, and I had no friends to talk to at all. I had my Walkman though, and I played Dolly as much as I could to calm my nerves and give me peace. She helped me so much through that and other times of my life. ❤

I got to spend 30 minutes with this woman and she is exactly what you would see on TV or in video on UA-cam down to earth with a heart of gold. And it's so nice that after 12 years we are still friends Having spent 30 minutes with her I got to see her up close in a mini concert opening her park Dollywood! I LOVE Dolly and I understand that questions are pre approved but these questions have been asked in every interview ever for decades. It would be nice to hear different questions. Anything! I guess it’s like Dolly said… people find her mysterious because she’s honest. She is like an angel on earth.

Due to her generosity Vanderbilt University was a recipient of millions of dollars for scholarships and to advance medical research and treatments to benefit countless people who benefited and were able to achieve their dreams. She chooses to remain anonymous.

So glad to have met Dolly at BMI in Nashville back in 1998. She is in person exactly as you see her here, beautiful inside and out. She walks into the room and everything in it lights up. Won her Heartbreaker album off radio when I was a kid and became a lifetime fan. If others would treat others with the same love and respect she treats others, this world would certainly be a much better place. Go Dolly, you are our country Rockstar! Great interview!
