I am so glad I watched your videos before my trip. I took the horse as well and it was my first time on a horse. Gosh I prayed all the way to remain calm. Epic experience.

I love this! I'm so glad they helped, this is exactly why I love making them. I was the same on the horse - mine had a real liking for the edge 🙈 so pleased you enjoyed your trip

Thank you! Yes the sour was exactly what we needed! Feeling proud, but can't believe I've still 2 more days of hiking to go

If you ever are around Ollantaytambo there is a small cave called the "Nuapa Iglesia" and it is one of the navels or centers of the Earth. Someone tried to blow it up either because they thought there was gold or something inside or possibly because they were scared of the power or energy of the altar.

Wow I did not know this! I'm gutted that I missed this when I was there. Though I don't think this will be my last visit to peru

Oh don't be so hard on yourself. Traveling and being in different countries can you out of sorts. Proper hydration, calories, electrolytes, and rest are needed to perform well, especially at altitude. Take some time to figure out what works for you. And thanks for the vlogs, I mostly have hiked 14ers in Colorado, but don't want to wait for next year (post snow) to hike there again, so am thinking about Ecuador or Peru for a high altitude adventure.

Thank you so much, you are right there are so many factors at play! It was definitely the hardest thing I've ever done, but I completely see the appeal. In terms of hiking and adventure I would definitely suggest peru. As well as the Salkantay I did some fantastic hikes and there were so many more to choose from x

When did you travel? I am going as a solo male in the summer. Although you had to take the horse it is still looks like one of the coolest experiences ever. Which group did you hike with?

Hi! I hope you have a fantastic time. I really enjoyed my trip and it is an experience I know I'll never forget. I did it with Salkantay Trekking- Carlos B was my guide and he was amazing. I've made a full video about it too if that helps x

Sad that these type of activities are made for wealthy tourists that can actually afford this... You would never see a Spanish speaker only group.

I'm sorry that you have this impression. The day my tour left, there were three buses of groups from the same company, and I was in the only English speaking group. I saw many people on my trip of different nationalities and budgets. Like everything, there is an option to suit everyone.
