He did have a lot to do and a major role with getting the track reopened for sure! Being the son of a 7 time cup champion and being the most popular cup driver for how many times in a row certainly has some worth and weight behind it even though he never won a cup himself 😉😀👍. Now we need nascar back at the facility ……at least trucks or xfinitiy if not cup for right now
Wow! It's incredible to see this old track be revived for racing again. With the NASCAR All-Star event coming to North Wilkesboro in 2023, the future looks bright.
I was a kid in 96 for the last cup race there, wasn't there but watched it, now cup is coming back next year. It's not a points race but the allstar race. Idc if it's not a points race cup is back
Once again, I wont watch a nascar race at the L.A. coliseum, didnt watch it last time, dont know who won, dont care, coliseum is for college athletics.. please dont go there again, or any stupid place like it. North Wilkesboro is a real track, thanks Dale..
Well, I do see your point about it being not intended for stock car racing, but it did have a perk of creating some new fans. Just wondering, what do you think of Bowman Gray? Not asking that sarcastically but they are similar venues but with different logistical limitations for nascar so I’m just wondering.
The L.A. Coliseum is not a place for a track, North Wilkesboro is much better, the coliseum race is an embarrassment to the sport, should be used as a track and field venue and college football, never a car race. Period..
Starting 16th position,16 year old Jonathan Shafer driving # 91. (Finishes 4th right behind Dale Jr. Keep your eyes on this natural talent!)
This tour is full of so much talent, the racing is always good and usually very clean. Wish more people knew about it!
What an exciting night !! So happy for Dale Jr , it s because of his efforts North Wilksbough has come back too life !!!

@@tritontransport cup already i cant believe it
So great seeing this facility packed again. Hopefully the racing surface holds up after being neglected for so long.
Thanks so much for capturing our classic stock cars! Was so much fun driving my Mello Yello 42 in front of all the fans.
Thanks, they all looked very nice!
Thanks for posting this. I really enjoyed the race from your seat(s) ..... and your edits/ notations are very helpful.
Your welcome. I usually try to give context to people watching that I just know by actually being there
Gives me chills and makes me teary-eyed to see this place back up and running again! It seemed impossible until just recently.
Raise hell, praise Dale !!!!

Yeah but the track is not fit for that many people though
@@brettbarbour3174never know, they might add more grandstands by then
It would be a good place to hold the cup all star race. I’ve always thought that race should be held at a non points race track
OMG they r 2023 all star race at north wilkesboro hell yeah

JR means so much to this sport.

This shot is awesome to see
Thanks for sharing 🎉
I sure hope that this isn't going to be a flash in the pan. Nascar needs tracks like this.
Great Video
The nova would have been perfect for the old cars race 😂
Yes yes yes! Bring it all the way back!!!!
Full house at the start, what happened to all the fans? Almost empty towards the end.
Well, basically the more casual fans left after the late models/Dale Jr ran. The more die hard folks stayed.
GUESS WHAT 2023 All star race at north wilkesboro hell yeah
Yeah I saw that last night. Definitely good news
I was about 20ft to the left of you that night. Great video!
Thanks
Lol ... thats only "Sold Out" if you apply public school math!!! Seriously, tho ... glad to see that kind of racing at NWB.
So happy NASCAR is doing the All Star there. Thanks to Dale Jr. Of course. A very legendary racetrack. There’s hope for NASCAR. Let’s hope

I actually liked it. It was entertaining and fresh for new young fans and that is what it was about. Everyone there had a good time.
L.A is cool nothing wrong with a quarter mile bullring
@@cameronmoss2933 theres more room to pass at the colusium track than at bowman grey

Disagree its good racing although a slightly bigger track like hickory or south boston would be better
