    thanks KC. I've watched both of your Diamond Drive videos. About to pull the DD on my 2011 M8 and replace the bearings for preventive maintenance. First time for me. AB

    yea I took the cover off to change the oil and check and clean the gears. I put res permatex on and the instructions say tighten tell some permatex starts to come out the side. leave a hour then turn 1/2 turn which I did. only thing the bolts aren't tight as they can go. I was afraid if I tighten it more now if it may split the dried gasket

      Yea I wouldn't worry about leaving it an hour, I usually out a thin layer on and then slap them together right away. It just gives it a small sealant.

    You think you could make a video demonstrating how to change a track on a snowmobile with a diamond drive? I've read it was very easy but i can only find videos with chain cases.

      Sounds good, I figured out the track after.. Not much work to it at all, just waiting on a couple parts for the limiter strap.. hoping for one last ride to test out the new track went from 2.25" to 2.6" Few more upgrades sceduled for this summer

      I just picked up a 144 with a 2.5 paddle so now I'm going to be putting that in for my next mountain trip. Our snow is all gone already it went really quick.

    Did you retrofit a new skid into the old CF?

    • @KcYukon
      @KcYukon  8 років тому +1

      The skid I put in was an after market skid from Ice Age Rails... Check them out I just used there rails and put my cat stuff on it... Fit great I went with 144 rails.... A new skid out of a 2014 or something I have never done that yet but I would imagine it would work...

    how tight do you put the bolts? just hand tight?

    • @KcYukon
      @KcYukon  9 років тому

      +divergeorgex Do them hand tight and then snug them up good. Your talking the cover bolts correct????
