If you have never been to Goff's Town ( mdhca.org/cultural-center/schoolhouse ) then we highly recommend it as you will experience the days of Gold mining and railroads like you never have seen before especially if you love the Great South West. This place has so many mining artifacts from the Mojave area and some are in working condition like the famous American Boy Stamp mill and the Stotts 2 stamp mill. For more vids Gold mining vids just click the link ua-cam.com/video/L4wGMdZA3lg/v-deo.html
Thank you, Mr. Jeff, Great film footage of a Historic Land site. Get your kicks on Route 66. Be careful in the Mohave Desert, it does not give favor. Everything wants a drink and, the human body is 89% water. Good to see you again Mr. Jeff Williams.
you betcha David
My boyfriend and his friend watch your vids all the time… and now I’m hooked too! Been watching for a while now, the information you provide is top notch. 👌🏼

The History of Mining is very well taught by Professor Jeff Williams!
Yes, I smashed the button of gold for ya.
Just pretend I'm a stamp mill. lol
Love the volume of detail for each exhibit. It's incredible, the ingenuity of man in the pursuit of gold! Sincerely a great video Jeff.
Great historical history.

Fascinating! Impressive engineering.
Thanks Jeff, for another excellent and educational video.
Outstanding, Jeff!!
Hey jeff ,Dennis casabier has a book called the mojave road that is very informative on the road and military outpost that used to be from mohave az to Wilmington CA harbor back in the 1800's . Good luck Dan Zacha ,thanx for your videos

@@Askjeffwilliams it's Has a story of arasta's being found around what is now marl mountain ca.
Thank you for the wonderful tour, you did a excellent presentation. Lots of great equipment and great explanations.
This documents the old town beautifully! 30 years ago, I was a railroad employee and heard numerous tails of the old mining towns. This is wonderful.
Keep 'em comin'! Thanks.
thanks Scott
Well thank you for the video I always like to see all that old stuff how they used to do it and nowadays it's so much easier but thank you and your wife for doing all that video to show us something that a lot of us don't really see because we work all the time but when I retire I hope to see you all this stuff if I live long enough😮 but thank you for the video I know that you work hard on these videos we do appreciate it so I'll see you on the next one❤❤❤😂😂😂😂❤😂🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤
Thank you Jeff!
Mining history through the eyes of a fellow prospector with an advanced mining degree is the greatest gift you could give to the everyday miner.
thanks Bob
@@Askjeffwilliams hey Jeff someone is impersonating you
We passed through Goffs on a trip over the Mohave Trail, and we spent the night just out of town. We got to spend an afternoon checking out all the cool stuff they have there, almost all acquired through donations. It's a great place to learn about the area, and just fun to check out all their stuff!!
Really Really fun bit of History Thanks Jeff and the fine People of Goff!!!; )
Thanks, Jeff, for a huge lesson in mining history. I dig history in any form.

Always love the history, but ya don't get wet or see that shiny! Lol! Keep it coming Jeff, if I wasn't such an old dinosaur I'd be using all this learned schooling obtained from years of watching yourself and Jason constantly in the "Come On Let's Go" mode, I'm ready....But the body isn't any more....So keep em shaking..
Amazing.. love your videos of the places I've driven by a 100 times but didn't know about. Now I'm gonna stop. So cool thanks!
I absolutely love watching your videos. You are so knowledgeable about the mining industry and its history. Thanks for sharing your experience and knowledge.
I really enjoyed the tour, mining history, and equipment explanations. Fantastic video!
I used to live in Fenner, grew up in Needles. My Gpa had a trailer up in the preserve below tabletop mtn along with a bunch of other people. I love the history. You have waaaay more knowledge of the area than me! 👍
thanks
Thoroughly enjoyed the history video, Amazing explanation of the stamp mill too, always wondered how they worked. Excellent work as always Jeff!
thanks
Wow.. that is an amazing place! So well restored and respected
Maybe it seemed like a long video for you to film and edit, but for me, it covered so much material that I would have enjoyed watching (especially those moving pieces) for a lot longer. Thanks, Jeff, for all your fine work.
you betcha
Another shared adventure , thanks to you and your lovely wife 😊
Amazing. Great video and cheers to all those who worked hard to preserve that history and those who started it all.
That's some awesome history lesson thank you Jeff be safe my friend 🙏 HI Lila

Awesome video Jeff.
Thank you for showing this beautiful place and all the items and relics that are there. It's Awesome they restored the stampers and run them. Also thank you for explaining the history and the education about how things work and operate etc. You truly are awesome 👍
thanks and you betcha
That was neat! Thank you for making this.
Incredible place. Seriously jaw dropping. I often fantasize about being one of the original gold rush guys. I bet there were times enormous amounts of gold was found😊. Love and positivity to jeff and his family
me too ....or maybe I was there
Great video and a great history lesson. Thanks!
Great video! Learned a lot!
I watched another video of cerro gordo, and it made me realize how impressive miners are/have been
not only are they digging in the ground, they are carpenters, they work with metal, and they know science and the earth. Very impressive to have that much knowledge of so many different aspects of life
very well done, Thanks Jeff
Thank you for sharing another awesome video
I love you Jeff and all the guests you have on your show. You by far have the best and most educational material of anyone. And the fact that you make geology fun and interesting goes a long way in truly educating the people out here like me that don't learn so well in a classroom setting. I just can't take the monotone speakers filling my head with blah blah blah blah nobody can get anything from that. And if they can, then they're probably a stick in the mud also. As soon as I get back to work I'm gonna become a premium patrion. And you've inspired me to turn my old 88 F250 4×4 5speed flatbed ext cab into an RV. And use my vacation time to get out there and do some prospecting. Since I live in Kansas in the middle of Kansas, I'll probably have to do my prospecting in Colorado or North Dakota. But I'd love to get out in the Southwest and Northwest gold fields and dig around a little or maybe a lot. Anyway GOD bless you and stay safe out there. It's dangerous and unforgiving work!
Great piece of history .
Thank you for a most informative video!!!
Super video Jeff !!!Thanks for the tour, fastenating
excellent video. love Arizona and Nevada mining history
Great video! I’ve seen these different devices before at different mines and never knew how they worked! Very cool to have Jeff Williams walk us through it! Thanks Jeff!! 🙏❤️

you betcha
That was really cool Jeff. Someday i hope i can visit this place.
I was always curious about how all that stuff worked.
Wow, what a cool video! Thanks for posting. We used to take 66, a lot, as far back as the early 1960's. I may have even seen this area then.
I’m still reading a fist full o gold. I’ll become a patron and buy your book. Then I’ll be in the game! Love these tour videos! Great history!!
thanks Robert , really appreciate that
Gonna have to visit that place one of these days. It's been many years. Thanks for the historical tour ! Love seeing stuff like this. Reminds me a little like Vulture City. 👍
can't believe you have not been to this place yet my brother ....its just down the street ...
@Ask Jeff Williams I know, right ?? I was there more than 25 years ago. Not much to see back then.
Great history, great video!
I used to work as a BNSF freight conductor out of Needles and would pass Goffs this at least every other day out of Needles or on the way back from Barstow.
Hey jeff after years of watching your videos and taking your advice, then going and prospecting my own turf gaining some knowledge on it all ive actually manage to get a job as a exploration field assistant. I gotta admit you were a huge part of motivating me to getting off my hiney and going to find that shiney lol it paid off in one way atleast!
thats great ...congrats my friend ...really glad to hear that
Drove by this town weekly for years, never knew about this. Thx Jeff.
Really enjoyed the video. Great Job. Thanks you two. . . . . .
This is so AWSOME! Wild west in its finest. We could jump train and rob the ore :) Just say !
Great video!! Thanks for Helping keep this history alive. Should've had a close up of the ECV plaque. I guess I'm going make a trek down there for myself soon.
you betcha
Jeff, I wouldn't mind if your videos were another 20 minutes longer. :)
Great stuff Jeff!
I loved the video thank you
a detail shop I worked at when I was younger used a old maytag like that for rinsing shammies and wringing them out. I think they used one up until they closed in the mid 2010's. Pretty wild it lasted that long and the wringing attachment was so strong it could squish a finger
Don't get your tit in the wringer
Jeff your a great narrator. Kris and I was just there. I’m want get my milling certificate from there. I think I’ll join there membership to help keep the place open.
MAX !!!!!! thanks my brother ....you should ....they are doing their best to keep the doors open
“Gly”: Good presentation Jeff, I really enjoyed that.. AND, I learned a few things. Thank you. 👍
thanks Gly.... always love hearing that
Another Great gold mining History video of the Man Himself jeff,,,Love it,,,Now Let’s Go !!!
FYI, Side Note: I’m a recently ’retired’ ‘30 yr’ locomotive engineer, in the Northeast. Most trains these days are a lot longer than 1 mile (& heavier). Running trains 2 to 3 miles long in the Northeast is common. Out there, in the Southwest, because of the flat terrain, they run them even longer.
Awesome vid Jeff!
This place reminds me òf a old mining town north of Beatty NV we went through going home from Grand Cannon
Thanks you Jeff Williams
you betcha
I loved growing up playing on the Maypole at Old Man Salt’s spread!
good times
New Sub Here... Great video and awesome tour of the town!
