If you have never been to Goff's Town ( mdhca.org/cultural-center/schoolhouse ) then we highly recommend it as you will experience the days of Gold mining and railroads like you never have seen before especially if you love the Great South West. This place has so many mining artifacts from the Mojave area and some are in working condition like the famous American Boy Stamp mill and the Stotts 2 stamp mill. I love you Jeff and all the guests you have on your show. You by far have the best and most educational material of anyone. And the fact that you make geology fun and interesting goes a long way in truly educating the people out here like me that don't learn so well in a classroom setting. I just can't take the monotone speakers filling my head with blah blah blah blah nobody can get anything from that. And if they can, then they're probably a stick in the mud also. As soon as I get back to work I'm gonna become a premium patrion. And you've inspired me to turn my old 88 F250 4×4 5speed flatbed ext cab into an RV. And use my vacation time to get out there and do some prospecting. Since I live in Kansas in the middle of Kansas, I'll probably have to do my prospecting in Colorado or North Dakota. But I'd love to get out in the Southwest and Northwest gold fields and dig around a little or maybe a lot. Anyway GOD bless you and stay safe out there. It's dangerous and unforgiving work!

FYI, Side Note: I’m a recently ’retired’ ‘30 yr’ locomotive engineer, in the Northeast. Most trains these days are a lot longer than 1 mile (& heavier). Running trains 2 to 3 miles long in the Northeast is common. Out there, in the Southwest, because of the flat terrain, they run them even longer.
