If you want to get fine Gold from either black sands or crushed hard rock ore , you can use a rod mill to help extract Gold if used in conjunction with mercury . If used properly us can collect up all the very fine Gold you have without losing anything but beware Mercury can be dangerous if not use properly so we made this video to help you guys do it safely. If you want to see more hacks on getting fine Gold fast, then watch this video. ua-cam.com/video/dRnhGfqnpE0/v-deo.html

Very interesting!! I'm a plumber and it's really cool seeing the mercury stick to the copper. It's acts exactly like the solder we use join copper pipe, the solder won't stick to the copper at all unless you use Flux! Super cool. Thanks again for another awesome video Jeff I always lean something from you!

I shutdown my school playing with mercury.
I remember it like it was yesterday.
    I was in middle school
which once was the old high school.
The science classroom had everything you could image, along with about a pint bottle of mercury.
Not one of us knew what it was.
    In seconds it was everywhere.
    Teacher walked in freaked out.
    We all got sent home,
    School closed .
We didn't get in any real trouble.
    I MISS BEING YOUNG.😅😅😅😂

Radioactive Jeff “Mercury has gotten a bad rap!” As he walks out of his Zone 3 containment area! Jeff, you rock. I used to watch the copper bubble up at the cyanide pools and was always fascinated at the color and consistency. When the mine in Tembagapura, Irian Jaya, started hitting gold at about 8% a ton, I remember watching my dads guys set the mill up to process gold and copper at the same time. The concentrate was aerated with a soap like gookenpucky and sent to the coast 60 miles away by 8” pipe for loading into the bulk tankers. It was interesting how the gold and copper were separated from the concentrate but the “Yeller” sure was pretty.

Going straight to Patreon. A sugestion better use if rod mill.. to separate gold from black sand run a cup or two of black sand in 70 rpm rob mill for 6 to 8 minutes. The brittle black sand breaks and the gold specks flatten out. After say 4200 revolutions pour the black sand through a fine screen. The sand will have been broken to small enough to go through but the gold flattened into disks catch in the screen where they can be collected with a brush. Ps played with murcury as nurses son from when a s
Whole tray of thermometers was droped . It was gathered with type paper and put in a pill bottle. Today they would call out the hazmat team for a Traynor thermometers. Still I would rather stay away from mercury.. btw this technique was developed in the Yukon about 1964 or 68 iirc and doubled the production of some mines.

For a bit I thought a rod mill would be good for crushing fines for easier separation of black sands & fine gold, but I need something fast like glass crushing, only I want something that can make wet black sand smaller & something portable too - like for beach sand gold.

We quit using lye and went to soda ash and borax. With sulfide ores we used bicarbonate of soda and potassium nitrate. Had to burp it a lot in a closed container. Oxidized it great. Also when I used copper plates, I would first dissolve my mercury in dilute nitric and then use a rag to spread it. Always wearing rubber gloves. One bad thing about mercury is it likes fresh cuts and scrapes. A tiny drop can get in and actually travel your blood system. You're right about the bad rap. In some parts of Mexico, after a hard night of partying they ingest a shot. Swear it cleans them out. I didn't party, thank God, so didn't test. Did notice they were still around a few years later. Still had teeth and hair. We also used that syringe with 3 cotton balls as a chamois. Cotton dissolves in nitric.😊

Speaking of black sand yeah I'm about to do this I have a metric shit ton already and I'm about to clean up my cons from a test I just did on a mine and I've never seen so much black sand Jeff but also think there stuff it goes gold, silver platinum group metals, and then this orange stuff and then black sands and blondes. What is the orange stuff some one said thorium but there's what to much to be that right it's like 30% of the cons!

Hey Jeff, If I utilize the mercury/nitric acid process to extract the fine gold from my black sands, what would you guess the purity of the gold is? I thought I read somewhere a long time ago it was around 99%? It sure is a different color than the raw gold, kind of buttery yellow. Thanks for all you do!!

    • @Askjeffwilliams
      @Askjeffwilliams  3 місяці тому
