- Rob reviews the Glenturret 10 year old Peated. Check out how this whisky compares to a similar Islay expression in the Port Charlotte 10 year. #whiskytube #singlemalt #glenturret #scotch

Thanks for sharing the background of the makers of this whisky.
Hey Rob. Couldn’t agree with you more, this is an excellent whisky and one of my personal favourites. I found that a few drops of water opens it up further and softens the peat ever so slightly.
Going to try that out.
I have the 2021 version and I absolutely love it. Glenturret makes great peated whisky. Brilliant idea about comparing it with PC10, maybe they do get their peated malt from the same place as Port Charlotte also uses mainland peat. I will do this comparison very soon! Thanks for the idea Rob and as always great review, cheers 🥃
Bravo Roberto! Excellent whisky 🥃 fine review. Ciao 👋 S.
Salute fratello 🙏🏻
Good review,I just opened the 12 yr and was impressed with the quality, noses and tastes more like a 15 year glendronach, rich and full of dark fruit notes.Looking at the 25 and 30 yr bottlings to add to the collection.
Thanks for the Glenturret 10 review Rob. This distillery seems to be a bit of a hidden gem. I believe the 2021 Triplewood won some world whisky award but I believe that was a limited and one time release. The 12 seems like a winner too. They are hard to find bottles though. Where did you track these bottles down?
Buddy from Alberta grabbed them for me.
Was US$60 for me. The smoky bacon points to those savory flavors labeled "umami". Absolutely one of the claims of Port Charlotte so a very apt comparison. I luv me this bottle, particularly because it doesn't lose that original underlying spirit.
It’s a beauty
ok got to stop procrastinating and buy one of these, between you, Narby at Malt Reviews, and Erik Waite it seems the whiskey tube consensus is solid on this distillery post Lalique! Thanks Rob, your honest reviews carry weight.
Thanks my friend. Cheers
Sounds like I would enjoy this one. Just got myself a bottle of the 12yo, 2022 release, and that one was quite fantastic. So I'll put the 10yo on my "to buy" list.
12 is solid
Loved the review and I'm about to do a bottle crack as this just showed up here and is a descent price. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
Cheers
This is one bottle I’ve always wanted but could never find.
It’s slowly making its way around the world.
Highlander liquor has the rights to it in Canada. They also have the 30 yr old which is priced nicely at $3K. Its good but its not so good that I'm pulling the pin on that cost.
Now I'll be on the lookout for Glenturret lol
Lol sorry
hey could u try the two brewers 41 up against your other favourites, the 24 and the 28 ... do it blind in a non-see through glass, and tell me which comes out on top? im really thinking the 41 will win..
Not a bad idea. I’ll see what I can do.
@@WhiskyInThe6 excellent bro. Let me know the results or refer to my user name (just joking, I have a sick sense of humor :D
hey Rob, which store has the rights in Canada ? any hopes of it arriving @ LC ?
Highland Liquor or something like that
Highlander wine and spirits in Calgary.
Hey Rob, Great video. I am curious on where you sourced this bottle from in Canada? Sounds like this is right up my ally. Help a brother in Scotch out? Cheers!
These are from the Highlander in Alberta.
@@WhiskyInThe6Awesome! Thanks for the tip!
Neer to bunker some every year prices go up
Rob is over here looking like Edward Sissorhands.
🤣
Hey Rob, I made a purchase based on your good word of Gordon & Macphail. I got the Craigellachie 2002 20 year old (58.5) abv. Around $200. Do you think I made a good purchase?
Sounds like a solid deal. Without trying it myself sounds like a steal.
@@WhiskyInThe6 There's a few left at craft. Now it's on sale (and I missed out lol). I'd love you to review it! Cheers
Love your videos bro but the background music is a bit much! Makes it hard to concentrate on your review. Just some feedback I thought might be useful
Sorry about that. Too loud this time.
😁
Cheers
