I was afraid that you didn’t do a tutorial for a drawstring bag because you’re my favorite person to follow when it comes to sewing, but then I realized that you did, and I was soooo happy!! Thank you so much!!

Yours is STILL my favorite! I have made so many and am making more! I use a fat quarter and just one drawstring! Started off as a shoe travel bag, now I use for everything especially my crochet projects! Thank you SO much Dana!

@@MADEEveryday you are very welcome! I hope you know how happy you made ME! I gifted one today with a skein of yarn and 2 crochet hooks from the dollar tree! Was my friend’s birthday! She flipped! Loved it! You make the world a better place Dana! Blessings to your family 🙏

I just made this bag and I love it!! This has to be the best drawstring bag tutorial because your directions are very clear and well-put! I even checked out your blog, which helped me add lining to the inside of my bag. I am so satisfied with the results and now I have a big enough bag to store all my makeup palettes, brushes, and tools to take on the go. Thank you so much!

Thank you for the enjoyable tutorial! I am a woodworker considering embarking into sewing. I wanted to know how to make a drawstring bag to hold a set of wooden dominoes and this is just what I was looking for. And you're right, drawstring bags can be perfect for so many situations and people DO love hand made gifts!

I made a whole bunch of these bags of different sizes with Christmas fabric to wrap family and friends gifts. My family knows to return the bags to me at the end of the festivities! My brother loves them so much that he requested a set for his family! It cuts down on wrapping time and on the garbage on Christmas morning for sure! Thank you for the tutorial!

Someone gifted me something like that bag many many years ago. I remember looking inside of that bag all the time while playing with toys that I kept in it, and I really loved how well made it was. I had to learn how to sew because of that bag. It was a draw string bag but it had a lining in it, and it had four zipper pockets on the inside through the lining, and then four more pockets on the outside of the bag. I had so much fun with that thing! But I did wear it out. And I'm learning myself how to install zipper pockets so I can make a bag like that one I loved when I was a kid.

Now that we are at home in isolation, there is the time to make bigger ones to use for Christmas presents instead of wrapping paper. Thanks!

Fell onto your splendid vid after shopping in a chain sporting goods chain and disappointed to find one of your type bags for less than I would pay, and imported. You are just amazing. Thank you for the nicely lit, carefully presented video. Been following you for a while now and I'm soon about to launch my own kids clothing brand, which I had been working on for the last five years. I came across you about six months ago and I often share your tutorials with the ladies who sew with me. Thank you and God bless you. Wishes sent your way, all the way from the tiny pearl island of Sri Lanka. Once my website is ready I would love to email you about it and get some feedback from you if that is possible. Let me know if that would be something you wouldn't mind taking a look at. Again, thank you so much, you are inspiring a lot of young girls and ladies here who sew with me.

Our church quilters makes these bags and the Youth Group fills them with a cake mix, frosting, candles, paper plates and a small gift. These “Birthday Bags” are distributed to families at a local food shelf. We have made 80-100 bags the past two years and are starting on this years supply. So easy to make and with the donated fabric we received they are very inexpensive also.
