They definitely should sell it. I would give the proceeds to his family (and have them choose what to do with it). To think that THAT amazing book was just a prop during ONE of these shows, it boggles the mind. AND they filmed several episodes a day!

Sean’s manipulation of both Jimmy and Jon in the CIAB game should be shown to psychology students. Masterful how he played dumb, then disinterested, then interested in winning, all to get Jon to do exactly what he wanted. He even waved off the “genius” compliment Jon lobbed over to ensure the deception was hidden the whole time. AND he made it funny. What a pro and what a loss. Rest In Peace, sir.

The way Jimmy played off Sean's Nazi Island riff was genius! That really required both of them (and Roisin as well) to pack a punch, like Stella or Kronenburg.
The fact that he was making a lot of these jokes whilst he was extremely sick makes him better.

The first celebrity passing that actually really upset me. Strange, but I guess he seemed like someone you knew and would meet down the pub. Such a funny man, never rude or offensive. Genuinely gutted he’s gone. Thanks for all the laughs

It's so weird to me. Being from Switzerland I had never heard of Sean before seeing lots of british influencers and celebs posting about his passing. I decided to watch one tribute videos posted and I believe that since then I must've binged all the best Sean Lock bits that are out there. I instantly fell in love with his humour and became obsessed. So the sadness I feel about his death is a really odd one because I only got to know him after he died.
I wish I had found out about this man earlier.

Sean's passing really hit me quite hard. I started binging cats does countdown when i was going through a rough patch in my life and it just made it that little bit easier to deal with, to laugh and smile in a dark time. RIP Sean, the comedians comedian, the man who could make anyone laugh. You were a legend and you will forever be remembered.

I think he came up with the "rectum of the year"-story purely because he enjoyed nearly suffocating Claudia in the process. He knew he wouldn't, so he kept going for the fun of it. And it's so damn funny with all the little details. Jimmy knew John well enough to create opportunity for some perfect comedy moments.

As masterful as he was at deadpan, Sean's uncharacteristic inability to hold it together whilst hearing Joe Wilkinson's poem about naming Willys was one of my favorite moments watching him ..
Literally telling him to stop while doubled over in fits, I had to pause the TV about 5 times during that poem

Sean is one of a few who genuinely made me belly laugh or cry with laughter at times with his randomness.

It is such a testament to how loved Sean was, that if his family spent time reading UA-cam comments (which typically is so often a cesspool of nonsense) about him they would actually see that they are unanimously about how great, funny and how he seemed such a nice down to earth, genuinely good guy.

It's hilarious for sure, but there's another side to it that gets me. You can hear in Rachel's voice that she's shitting it about doing a bit by herself. She soldiers through to her credit, gets a few chuckles, but Sean comes in right as it's about to die on its arse.
Noticed him do it a few times on the show: he was always quiet and respectful of anyone else doing their thing, but if they weren't getting the audience or were losing the thread, you'd see him jump in and give them something to bounce off or get the audience going again. No wonder he was so liked and respected.

I agree, when I heard the news i felt as if my favourite uncle had passed. The only one who didn't have to force his dark humour unlike a lot of comedians. It was natural, it was perfect.

I didn't know he was ill, so its a shock to me. I love his comedy, which will always remain. I found George Carlins and Richard Pryors (both American) comedy too late. I am happy I got to enjoy Sean at least.

Comedians usually just clap and chuckle politely at another comedians jokes. But Sean Lock made other comedians CRY with laughter at his antics. I think that is what made him so special...he could make other comedians laugh so hard! That's a special talent. He will be missed.

Sean lock is the mate/ friend you knew who pushed the boundaries. 99.9% of people's humour offend everyone, but that rarity of a special human being who is just a genius to make you laugh and not offend you. Once you have that skill of laughing at yourself and being truthful to your thoughts people know its not to offend its to make you laugh. I am so so gutted that this genius of a man who stayed on his journey of humour
never changed. I will truly miss him and he has left a lot of people with funny ,stupid and belly ache laughs for ever. RIP Sean

Lord, I forgot how much effort he put into his mascots. Quite extraordinary for a series of one-offs.
I'm pretty sure they had a props team make up random shit but the performers brought them to life.
His vouchers and his collection of magazines I think are my favourite. 'The Lapsed Catholic' and 'Look at the State of Her' magazine.
Ye i always appreciated the amount of effort people put on their mascots on this show, even though initially I thought the segment lasted a bit too long. :P Same with Joe Wilkinson - I've grown to like him slowly!
@@Puggo_Huggo I'm sure it wasn't 'all their own work' but the ideas and writing is specific to each presenter. I think they play a big part in the mascots and I would prefer not to learn otherwise :/

I just discovered Sean Lock and I'm so sad he's not here anymore. He seems like such a wonderful person. I'm going through some tough times right now and watching his videos makes me feel so much better. Wish he was still here. But I'm happy he existed. Thank you for the laughs Sean.💖

I've been thinking about this a lot and think perhaps only Joe Wilkinson could replace him as captain. Anyone who can make Sean cackle the way he did in the "I just named your penis" poem is worth a shot but you're right, it'll not be the same.

@@stuartcarden1371 I always felt that Sean's positive reactions to Joe's absurdist humour gave Joe legitimacy. Not only Joe but also some of the lesser-knowns in dictionary corner. If you could make Sean laugh you're doing something right.

Legends always leave too soon, Bill Bailey said even in his last days he was still cracking jokes. Never knew him but wish I did, I’m devastated and will miss him terribly.
Yeah, Harry Hill said the same; he said that Sean spent some time in hospice care, for a bit of a rest; when Harry heard, he called Sean up, and asked him how it (the hospice care) was; Sean replied with something like:
“It’s ok…and the sex is amazing”
He was simply fantastic.

Lots of celebs pass.....but I was genuinely saddened and choked up to hear of Sean's passing. He always came across as a really decent guy. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and loved ones. I'm sorry for the pain and loss you are feeling. Rest in peace Sean.....thank you for the fun and happiness you gave to me over the years.
