She soldiers through to her credit, gets a few chuckles, but Sean comes in right as it's about to die on its arse. Noticed him do it a few times on the show: he was always quiet and respectful of anyone else doing their thing, but if they weren't getting the audience or were losing the thread, you'd see him jump in and give them something to bounce off or get the audience going again. I mean, everyone ASSUMES he fucked up Carrot in a Box, because that's his persona and the long con pays off SO well here. What a legend, he is missed.
Edit: I MEAN, in the MOMENT, the audience, panel, and EVEN THE HOST, react to Sean AS IF they think he has screwed the game up by bluffing so...you know what, forget it. It doesn't matter. RIP you legend.
It's not chess We appreciate his humour. We miss him and regret the way his family and friends must feel.
Let's not forget that he also won the rematch.
Sean Lock was an absolute genius, such a joyful man. I know he was happy with what he's done in his life. Keep fooling people into losing out on carrots forever bro
when you remember he conned people when he was young as a job you should never trust he doesn't know what he is doing. but yeah how he played that out is pure genius since noone even suspected he understood the game perfectly, even keeping up the act while he knew he had allready won just shows his brilliance
@@maartendetemmerman393 You should never trust he doesn't know what he's doing.
I really hope someone says "Nooooo Whyyyyyyy Aahhhhhh" at his funeral. He'll be greatly missed, even by us fans outside of the UK. A humble man who stayed true to himself. Much love
I think he knew already he had cancer when they asked that question so that response was genuine that he be dead already.
I'm in America, the state of Oregon in the Pacific Northwest, and I absolutely adored him. I was browsing UA-cam and came across 8 out of 10 and down the rabbit hole I went. Sean, you made me cry with hysterical tears. Thank you.
I think he came up with the "rectum of the year"-story purely because he enjoyed nearly suffocating Claudia in the process. He knew he wouldn't, so he kept going for the fun of it. And it's so damn funny with all the little details. Jimmy knew John well enough to create opportunity for some perfect comedy moments.
John?
Who is john

Cats does countdown was never the same when he wasn’t on it, it’ll never be the same again. He will be sorely missed, but never forgotten. R.I.P my man
@A Lai well, considering that Jimmy Carr had his hair transplant during lockdown and Sean lock was in series 21 episode 4, with Jimmy and his new hair, I find that somewhat hard to believe. And if that’s CGI then CGI has improved like you wouldn’t believe.
Spreading conspiracy theories when it comes to someone’s passing, is horrifying and incredibly hurtful to those who ACTUALLY knew him. May I suggest that you never repeat such blatant rubbish ever again, for everybody’s sake.
He was the only reason I watched this show, and the hundreds of clips from it here on UA-cam.
@@baronvonthrophousen5930 I think you misunderstood what A Lai wrote, read it again this time substituting the word "might" for "nearly"

"The Tiger" ,an adult comic should be published and the money given to a charity Sean would have supported. A top bloke.
I'd buy it in a heartbeat!
I thought the same.
His last video was about a charity that aims to help with food security.
Seems appropriate.
@@eccehomer8182 I certainly would, surely it has been thought about.
@@yt.personal.identification Totally agree, "food security" would be appropriate considering the content of the book. RLOL(R as in Respectful not Roar)

The whole Nazi Island thing is comedy gold - from Sean's outline to Jimmy throwing him under the bus to everyone else's reactions.
No, no, no, no, no...

I don't think I've ever missed someone I've never met so much. I can't understate how much joy this man has brought to my life. Thankyou Sean, forever thankyou.
For me the comment over Rachael, saying, “That’s a challenging wank” ranks up there with some of the funniest things I’ve ever heard on television. It is so relatable and clever
Its not relatable or clever. Any wank involving Rachel Riley is a piece of piss to pull off.
Nobody else would've gotten away with it.
It's hilarious for sure, but there's another side to it that gets me. You can hear in Rachel's voice that she's shitting it about doing a bit by herself.
No wonder he was so liked and respected.
.....yes .....and quick !
I don’t get the joke is it because she is ugly with the beard ??
The tiger book, and the carrot game, both had me literally crying with uncontrollable laughter. What a tragedy, that such a funny man was taken too soon.

That entire episode was pure Sean Lock brilliance.
My favorite part of Sean’s “that’s a challenging wank” comment is the fact that Rachel is laughing her head off, along with everybody else.

Sean left a legacy of hilarious moments that will keep us laughing throughout time. Thank you and RIP!
Lord, I forgot how much effort he put into his mascots. Quite extraordinary for a series of one-offs.
I'm pretty sure they had a props team make up random shit but the performers brought them to life.
His vouchers and his collection of magazines I think are my favourite. 'The Lapsed Catholic' and 'Look at the State of Her' magazine.
Ye i always appreciated the amount of effort people put on their mascots on this show, even though initially I thought the segment lasted a bit too long. :P Same with Joe Wilkinson - I've grown to like him slowly!
@@Puggo_Huggo I'm sure it wasn't 'all their own work' but the ideas and writing is specific to each presenter. I think they play a big part in the mascots and I would prefer not to learn otherwise :/

"Jimmy is plowing on" lol, perfect timing... this whole segment is TV gold
‘That’s a challenging wank’. That line will never be forgotten 😂😂
You can tell from his face it just came out 😂
That line never ceases to have me in a fit of laughter. Just comedy gold.
Cant breath even after the 90th time of watching. So funny.
Legends always leave too soon, Bill Bailey said even in his last days he was still cracking jokes. Never knew him but wish I did, I’m devastated and will miss him terribly.
Yeah, Harry Hill said the same; he said that Sean spent some time in hospice care, for a bit of a rest; when Harry heard, he called Sean up, and asked him how it (the hospice care) was; Sean replied with something like:
“It’s ok…and the sex is amazing”
He was simply fantastic.
Fuck, I’m gonna miss him.
@@ThisCharmingMan1984 yeah I read that, legend. The world is a bit more empty and joyless now.
"They say a womans work is never done...maybe thats why they they get paid less."
Only Sean can get away with a line like that. A true genius.
Jimmys take was “well maybe, if they just tidied up a bit more.” 😂😂
Miles’ response “Good luck trying it without spit” was probably the best line in that bit.
He was already sick yet still gave joy and making people laugh through his comedy. Rip.
So sad knowing we'll never get another episode of 8 out of 10 cats does countdown with Sean and Miles together :(
I've been thinking about this a lot and think perhaps only Joe Wilkinson could replace him as captain. Anyone who can make Sean cackle the way he did in the "I just named your penis" poem is worth a shot but you're right, it'll not be the same.
i was also thinking what would happen to eootcdc
@@stuartcarden1371 Stephen Mangan would be a good captain too. Or Miles of course.... There's noone quite like Sean though. It's a near impossible role to fill
