I saw a bottle green one the other day....stunning,beautiful,just works with this design...if I ever saw a happy car....that was it..........that green...on that car....truly something special!!

I thought the video had too many blurred shots and looked clumsy as a result.
The cars on the other hand were great; the green tan combination with chrome detailing should be in a classic car show, the Denim is epic - I want that car so bad! White suits the beetle too of course, but not the garish red trim highlights.
The camera sucks: too much moire.

Nice detail in the interior with painted dash, painted steering wheel, and cloth seats. And I like the light coloured interiors, and contrasting dash. But it is not the new MQB platform, so it looks like there is no Adaptive Cruise Control, 'Traffic Jam Assist' or AEB, as it is just a simple face lift of the old A5 (PQ35) platform? (Though of course the MQB platform is no longer new!). And once you've tried a good Adaptive Cruise Control and 'Traffic Jam Assist', would you want to go back to a simple standard cruise...?
Are the rear turn signal lights red or yellow? They must be yellow not red.

Read reports Volkswagen to end Beetle in 2018 because SUV's are more popular to sell. Think the early 90's new-gen Beetle was a big mistake., Volkswagen should really have kept the engine at the back and made it more affordable.. it basically became an expensive niche vehicle which is the very opposite of it's humble beginnings.

It's not that easy, they had to deal with safety, emissions standards, also keep up with the market trend, and with the new beetle era VW as going with modularization throughout its lineup, if they were to keep the rear engine and simple mass market won't buy them, and besides rear engine cars are more expensive to design manufacture and maintain/service especially if its watercooled and newer engine technology, the new bug design wasn't a great move however we do still get a bug in the end.
Volkswagen in a way took the easy way out with new Beetle, because the Golf was "the" car that successfully replaced it., new version got quickly approved more for retro-memories sake. Also don't think it was more expensive to build a rear engine platform in Volkswagen's case since they already have the experience and are also making a lot of profit with various other vehicles in their range during those times.
The rear engine design meant that engine swaps could be performed in 15 mins - on the side of the road at night by thieves, i kid you not. Modern safety standard mean that a rear engine design will end up needing Porsche levels of engineering to corner well and Porsche maintenance costs for engine out servicing.
I think they'd be better off with a stripped down, retro design of the 60's Porsche 911, with maybe a normally aspirated small six. Something like that would fill a special niche for enthusiasts that would be considering a Miata or F86. I don't really see what good this car is in the market, considering it's basically a Golf . . but not as well useful or enjoyable to drive.

4:34 This car looks like a four year old wanted to scetch a Porsche 911 and could not get the proportions right. This looks not like a beetle more like an offroad Porsche.
if motor in front this is not real Beetle.Beetle is not design he is conception with boxer motor in a back and big front for driver

An absolutely stupid car. it tries to look like a rear-engine, but it is front-wheel drive. It does not have circles anymore like the first New Beetle. It is fat, heavy and pointless. And its time has gone anyway: those who were nostalgic for 1960-ies Beetles are too old or dead.

I personally really like the car but it hasn't been too successful in North American. i almost never see one on the road. Nor do I see too many EOS models. they'll probably get rid of it soon, I reckon.
