    I see in the comments there was a collapse. When the video started I was immediately concerned. A better way to dig is to slope out the sides as you go if you have no way to shore the sides. It would require more digging but on the other hand you may find items you may have missed and it will be safer.

    Hello, I enjoyed watching this video very much and you found so many nice jugs and bottles. My son Lew and I dig for old bottles and stuff to. We have a UA-cam channel found as Jeffrey Hull jr on the search bar. We have digging videos and I put some trains on there and other interesting videos. I subscribed to your channel and we are looking forward to watching more of your videos. Take care and happy hunting to you. ---- Jeffrey Hull Jr. (Jeff & son Lew.)

    Nice finds! I’m always weary about tunneling out at the bottom 😬 have you ever had any cave ins? Thanks for the show!

      Thanks for watching Matt! Check out our latest bottle digging video. We got a minor collapse on film lol! We usually aren’t too deep and always have a few guys with us but still always can’t be too careful!

    what was the water bottle?It looks like a Buffalo lithia from Buffalo Springs Virginia.

      It was indeed a Buffalo Lithia Ricky! Was surprised it came out whole. Neat bottles they are! Thanks for watching!

    How valuable are the items you uncovered?

    • @wethepeopleoutdoors
      @wethepeopleoutdoors  Рік тому +1

      Some are more valuable than others. Local collectors will pay more for local bottles. We really don’t sell what we find, as we keep it for our personal collections. Some bottles can go for big $ though! Thanks for watching!

    Hate to be a downer but if you guys keep digging in that manner it's only a matter of time until someone gets buried. And it ain't gonna be pretty. You should quit undercutting and you should figure out a way to shore as you go down. I've been on a number of cave-ins as a firefighter. Anything deeper than waist deep should be shored up.

    • @wethepeopleoutdoors
      @wethepeopleoutdoors  Рік тому

      Thanks for the feedback LB! You'll see a nice cave in on the next video. We try to be as safe as we can with multiple guys on each dig.. unfortunately cave ins happen frequently on these digs.

    How do you find these old dumps? Me and my 3 sons love diving rivers for bottles but we’ve never figured out how to dig places like this. We live in northern Wisconsin where there’s lots of old stuff

    • @wethepeopleoutdoors
      @wethepeopleoutdoors  11 місяців тому

      We mostly find them by walking creek/river's. A lot of the time you'll see where brick and glass shards are coming out of the banks or you'll stumble across an old farm dump with glass on top in the woods. No science to it really, just a lot of walking! Thanks for watching!
