Can remember back in late 1950's & early 60'S Hunts was the best pier in Wildwood. Morey brothers have done an outstanding job last 30 or more years. Built 2 great water parks improved the piers that they purchased and always installing best rides. Believe they have approximately 1,500 workers during busy summer months.
My family has always went to wildwood every summer, and in the late 90’s my grandmom got a house in wildwood on 1st ave. And every summer since I can remember I’ve made so many memories in here,It’s a huge part of my life l
I'm glad the second generation Moreys continued the business. Without them caring, I would've never been here. Moreys gave me the opportunity to have fun during the summer. Thank You Will and Jack Morey
You made them out to be saints! I worked at hunt's Pier in 1979 at 18 years old and was amazed how Morey kept hounding the hunt family to sell their Pier to him, the hunts referenced that he was like a Leach attached to you and many years later he bought the old hunt's Pier and closed everything down with the excuse that the rides were to old and needed to much to fix and couldn't fix them up! Even gave a big send off ceremony for the golden nugget and bragged how it's such a loss to wildwood, however he auctioned off and sold every last bit he could!!! Ahh yes saint Morey.......
loved Dantes dungeon and i miss draculas castle :( wildwood holds such a huge place in my heart i spent every summer there as a child on vacation visiting my grandparents (r.i.p)
Family members took me there when I was 12, the summer after my father died. It was a really fun trip, we skipped the car and took a bus from Manhattan. I have fond memories of that trip with my uncle who passed this year. I remember the boat ride on Dracula's Castle the most.
Been going to North Wildwood on and off for many years, haven’t been since?? The one problem is would say is too many shirt shops, time to shrink them down and come up with something new. North Wildwood has less riff raff.
@@heidiinfante4773 yeah that post was when i was little and i am 11 so the person who said me too was me when i was little but yes i did go since i was little :I
Great video. That was clever how the Morey brothers enlarged the amusement areas by building different sections of boardwalk for the rides extending out towards the beaches. But God forbid heavy waves from hurricanes were to have struck those rides. That would be the end.

So nice that they mentioned the Hunt family.

It’s called progress, out with the old, in with the new, The Hunts fell by the wayside, never upgrading anything, don’t be bitter, you didn’t own it.

I miss the old Hunt's Pier, Fun Pier, and Morey's Pier. Thank goodness Mariners' Landing and Surfside are still there.

Sad how much changed I originally came here my first time in the early 2000’s

To the tables down at Mory's, to the place where Louie dwells.

Is no one going to discuss the trading of a roller coaster to the Russians for two traincars full of tomato ketchup?

Payton Kedziora How time passes! Going June 16th,only if school ended 😢
I was there June 16th too. (my birthday btw). Sadly, my week there went all too fast. Shame it's over already. ☹
I’m going tomorrow to the water park, if I drown I’m suing.
You better be savings those funds from your ridiculous ticket prices for a new kickass roller coaster or I'm gonna be really pissed...
howardkevinm well they are the only amusement park in Wildwood so they kinda can do whatever the hell they want
Im going tomorrow or my birthday
dang son m8 my old account XD
fuck I hate my spell corrector sometimes
RIP Flitzer
THE ZIPPER
The big down side to these Morey's Piers is, any massive hurricanes will destroy everything washing all the rides out to sea.
But they are rich and have insurance to cover those events.
plus hurricanes NEVER come here super strong 😂 with the exception of Sandy which was rare for us
Too many facts uuugh
Not the best, for business, families. Horrible, politically too!! And someday, their reign, will end😏…………
schlitten farht sounds like shittin fart
26th like!
