I much prefer servers with rules, like the semi-realism ones. But the important thing is whichever you enjoy the most.
Semi realism is the best imo, but you always have these guys who endlessly complain about minor rulebreaks 😅

Honestly, no rule servers are just an absolute laugh - there’s bound to be chaotic content on a no rule server. But the servers with rules do keep things more realistic for dinosaur survival. I think James should do a mix of both honestly because both types of servers are as fun as each other in their own right.
i honestly love how his vids are abt 1 hr long ..you can watch while you’re eating,getting rdy for work/school and practically having something to watch that gets you distracted
Personally I prefer servers with rules (like Islander), but sometimes it can be refreshing to hop on servers like this one to cut loose a bit.
Usually better to play small stuff that doesn't have to worry as much about mix packs and such on rule-less servers. Growing something like a Rex on these servers is torture.

Personally I dislike islander. I like servers with rules but islander over does it imo, plus it's really toxic there and admins don't do anything about it.
I like a mix between the two, so personally I play life finds a way! Minimal rules but enough to prevent chaos

Ive not played this game much yet. I have an allo almost to adolescent and previously i played a Latenivenatrix. The megalania was the first thing i ever got attacked/hunted by and i was literally shaking, crouched in a bush as a juvenile with several minutes of venom, covered in wounds and on barely any health and then i saw him. He stood next to me, looked right, looked left at my bush and then moved on. I have never felt such fear in a game before and i love it
A megalania was the first one to hunt me too! My heart was beating out of my chest. I somehow managed to lose him. 😅
I just feel so bad for that sucho. He was on top of the world, and when he thought it was safe, a Beaver and a Croc murder him 😂😂
Glad to see I’m not the only one who gets jumpscared by those moths and flys coming onto my screen and making me think their other players
15:45 this was so fun to see because on the server I used to play on there were massive “river wars” where a bunch of herbis every day would fight the deinos and sarcos in grand plains river, so many args were used that some croc players were experienced enough to solo an arg in the shallow water area of gp, I got really good with theri from fighting so many crocs and even other carnis, I’d love to see beaver play theri but to play well you need to tail ride and use blockade to counter bone break

Argents are actually really easy on servers with high growth like this one. Couple hours of doing missions max. The issue is once you're adult you can only really guard one zone until you die because of how slow you travel.
It would be days before the stream ended

I think semi realism servers would be better than realism or chaos, a nice midway, you don’t have a pack of 5 gigas and 2 spino’s in a group killing everyone, but you also don’t have to have weird rules like body sit or territory

Awesome video as always! I have been waiting for you to play the megalania. I definitely prefer servers with rules because I feel like it adds more strategy to the game and you can't just get randomly killed by herbivores (like with the ankylosaurus)

I prefer servers with atleast few realistic rules, cause it feels almost like an interactive documentary! Though my PC cannot handle the game, so I would just watch *you* instead :)
Are you sure it can't handle the game? I'm only using my 4+ year old, budget school laptop, and it runs okay, so long as all graphics settings are at their lowest. Would like to upgrade one day, though.

Sometimes it decides to freeze everything when I'm just using a browser, sometimes it can run a GTA (on low graphics and if everything is turned off). The only thing lower graphivs did to me in this game is make everything blurry, not just the textures xd
When Beaver plays in a server with rules, he gets these cool looking fights with epic scenery and strategy but these fights.. they're a bit *rare*
On the other hand, servers with no rules is just full on carnage. I dunno both are are really fun to watch 😅

Also I HATE patchys, there was a herd of like five, and their baby attacked me, (one of the smaller carnivores) so I attacked back, I didn’t kill it but ALL of the parents came running after me, and killed me like three times. All of that growth. UGH.
oh I was playing as a conca I believe. I was almost adolescent, then died a few times by the same group :’)

Divine Beasts is a great server if you want a good balance of some rules (no interrupting hunts, no hervis and carnis working together, pack limits), freedom to group with anyone you want (as long as you both eat the same type of food), and no "body down" rules during a fight. Also all of the stats are heavily modified to make all the dinos more balanced.

Actually, I have heard from Velocci that in his videos about Path of Titans, I might have heard that they have added new AI critters, such as river stingrays, catfish, Basilemys (an extinct turtle), and as well as frogs. In some places, like Sharptooth Marsh, for example; if you're playing as a carnivore, you'll perhaps notice that when you interact with a burrow, more specifically by disturbing it and digging it out, you'll realize that a frog will come out of its burrow and try to hide, but when you catch up to it, you may hunt it down to eat it as a snack. 🦖🦕🐟🐠🦈🐸
So yeah, here's a shocking fact. I was actually online when Whitney just came online. The Dino that was attacking her at 25:33 was me as a juvenile tyrannosaurus. And as even more proof I know the name of the server. AURANEA #2 passive marks.

Definitely prefer servers with rules, I used to play on official servers and oh my gosh was it painful, I remember going to crater as a Rex and got absolutely destroyed by everything there, even the herbivores joined in and I didn’t even do anything, there would be so many times if I went to a populated area, There was just a huge mix pack of people that would just kill anyone that came by, Didn’t matter what you were, baby, herbi or carni they were just kill everything
57:30 the funny thing is as soon as the anky fell into the water, every Dino that could dive underwater jumped into the water after the anky. It then became an aquatic creature feeding frenzy on the anky

Literally my favorite dino(well technically a reptile from the Pleistocene) to play as, and the first I’ve ever played as! They are so diverse and(as is every Dino) when played in the right way incredibly skilled fighter. So glad you gave it a try!

YES! FINALLY BEAVER! Megs are such a fun dino to play especially after the night stalker update they are semi-aquatic and can gain stam in water and are fast in water. Megs don’t have good stam but for there size they pack a huge punch! I have killed rexes which Meg and other medium dinos like solos and suchos.
I love how you manage to outplay all of the creatures in the animal kingdom at once
Metri also has really good movement speed when using precise movement, so much so that it is pretty easy to stay behind something and claw them.

Fun fact the 2 dinosaurs in Land Before Time that supposedly eat eggs Ozzy and strut are struthiomimus they suspect struthiomimus could not have eaten eggs their beaks wouldn't have been strong enough to break the egg and they most likely would not have been able to swallow them whole at least most eggs they do suspect though that Oviraptor probably crushed and eggs along with shellfish and fish
